FEEL DIFFERENCE
Won't that cause dust to be collected in there? :$
might be yes
Interesting trick, especially for an old, already damaged atrix
Apparently there are different kinds of grid, yours looks like the ifixit one:
Mine is one big metal part (european atrix)
Besides my back cover grill is broken, so the speaker would be completely unprotected
Mine old back covers grill was broken and i bought a new cover and this is fake one but not very bad

Hey everyone,
I've ordered a defy screen digitizer, 2mm adhesive strip and a torx screwdriver set from Amazon, and they should be delivered this thursday.
Does anyone know of a GOOD quality guide (video or pictures please) for dismantling then re-assembling a Motorola Defy?
Preferably one for replacing the screen too..
I really don't want to mess this up
Thank you all so much, you've been a great help for the life of my device
For anyone interested, I've thrown my phone down a street and it was fine, then the moment I fall over at a house party - SMASH... Screen wrecked Not the LCD, just the gorilla glass
Sorted it, I just sort of guessed I apologise for the terrible quality webcam.

My TF810c was send for repair yesterday, but I was already told in the shop that one issue is my fault and it will not be fixed.
Considering how much TF810 cots in Poland I will not let go (especially that I know it is devices fault not my inattention.
So...
1. Seal on the hinge (the one between hinge and docking station is all ripped and pushed down by edge of docking station. Not nice as there is glue left inside and on the edge of keyboard.
More and more dirt get in.

2. Frame of the screen just broke (above place where all materials plastic and aluminium meet). It is not chipped (as after hitting something), just split.

Any one with similar issues?
I got one of these..
I yet can't find a back cover for this.
Only thing i have found are stupid pouches.
If anyone comes across a back cover please post a link, cause the back looks made of very soft plastic one drop and it will get scratched.
Thank you
Backcase found it!!! not quite sure its worth it
Amzer-Pudding-TPU-Case-Black in fommy site
I found a compatible cover.
This is for the micromax A1 ( the other Android One phone we have).
Works perfect though the camera hole look's funny.
It's a Bit Covered but functionality is not hindered

My phone came like 2 weeks ago from warranty ı paid 520 try (200$) for them to change screen-charging circuit-motherboard because phone was water damaged so they didn't cover it up but anyways ı just realized that this time there is a piece missing i don't know if it's normal or another revision or something so i'm asking is it bad that place is open or will it affect the water resistance

I don't have the marked place's cover (round thingy) that place is open there is a round bronze thing inside there
Sorry for my bad English
It's still inside the water seal so I guess it's safe. But I'm alot more worried on the sealing capabilities on the other parts of the phone like on the screen.
I had my sony xperia z1 compact before that's water proof and been using it underwater everytime for more than a year. Then I had it replace it's battery and after it returned to me the waterproofing is gone. Good thing the rice trick worked though...
Haven't seen it used anywhere before so thought I would post it up. Couldn't justify buying a hot plate for one screen repair, and heat guns just seem a bit temperamental.
...How can I heat my screen evenly to 100DegC and melt the LOCA???
Lightbulb moment - A double boiler!!
Big pot full of water with another empty pot sitting on top. Water can only boil at or around 100degC (depending on how far above sea level you are).
Worked great, nice and cheap and no chance of burning the LCD. Used a playing card to separate the glass from the LCD.
