Market not Working?

Yesteday it was working.. But I've Changed Android Roms to see how things are.. And I've already tried two and both Give a Network Error when it starts...IS anybody having the same problem or is it related to something else... Oh also changed the WM rom to an Android friendly one

Mines not working either on 2 builds as we are speaking.

For some reason Android Market is down at the moment... weird, first time I have knowledge of this happening... maybe an update for something big?

I thought it was only me having the problem. I text-ed all my friends who have vibrant's and evo's theirs are working just fine. It wasnt until i tried to load another rom that I realized it wouldnt load. I switched back still same error message. I think its a "HD2 ONLY" issue.

Market doesn't working on my brother's Moto Droid also. I think it's official downtime.

Thanks for this feedback,i was quite afraid that we were sort of banned from this pandora box ;-)

weird...i just installed a poker game from the market .

market place seems to be responding very slowly...within the last hour? I thought it was the new build I was loading, good to know other people are having this problem as well tonight.

Not workig in my nexus tha suck.......

so I googled a bit and this problem is happening to random people.
even people with native android phones.

Yeah, Its not working on my phone neither. I thought it was the build I just installed but I guess not.

I love the work done to this build!

Works fine for me.... doesn't show any content in the mainscreen but if you select apps/games the lists do appear

^^^ what he said! Its working for me also.. other then the main app screen saying "no matching content in Android Market" But there are certain things that arent found... like "pandora" for example.. i guess the market is still being Fixed or Upgraded... etc

I'm in the UK so it may be the US servers or something like that..

Its Working.. Some What... NO App Suggestion like Before.. Just Says "no Matching content" Guess Google Changed Something and probably had some unwanted results. And Idk it seems weird...Different List of Apps... I know Apps get taken out and put in... But I don't see the usual Set of apps in that i normally see Games/Apps that are high rated

Never seen these apps... I DONT LIKE CHANGE!! .. haha

Mine was down too. Now that its up the app lineup is very different. I'm not sure I like what I'm seeing.

[Q] Why GPS collects anoymous data on Xperia Arc?

Hi,
At first excuse my horrible writing skills in english, understanding is fluent...but writing/speaking is...*peep*!
Today I deactivate my GPS an reactivate it and got a message that GPS will collect anonymous data an send it .....when I disagree my GPS did not activate.
I´m a little confused about this, cause on the Nexus S appears no message like this, so I think its not a part of 2.3 !
I allways understand this message by activating the wireless-option, but why appears this for activating GPS now and only on the Xperia Arc?

It happens on other phones too. Not sure why not on Nexus S, but it's definitively shown in CM.

Hm, tested by me or others:
Desire: No message appears
GalaxyS: No message appears
Nexus S: No message appears
Galaxy tab: No message appears
Magic: No message appears
First I thought its part of 2.3, but then this message must appear also on the Nexus S, what it doesn´t.
Even if Big Brother loves me, you can call me paranoid! -.-

I'm not bothered TBH..

i always just tought it was because of a-gps, meaning it uses celltowers to get gps lock faster. On my old w715 i could turn this off but i havent found that option on the arc

I think it is a disclaimer kinda thing... I have seen it on other xperia models like x10.

Anyone got the Skype apk prior to 2.6.0.95 ?

Video calling was working just fine on my XOOM until the above update so.....has anyone got an APK for the previous version that they could possibly link me to?
I dunno if anyone else uses it but today when we tried to call my dad, the XOOM just locked up and was locked in the call with black video window. Very frustrating and my daughter really wanted to see her grandad.
So, any help greatly appreciated. ;-)

This version is pretty old but its the only one that works problem free on my Nexus One

Funny you say that, 'cause about an hour after the update I made a ~10-minute Video call to Israel (and one later within Cali, a lot less interesting ) and it worked flawlessly, w/o even any sync or lag issues.
Did you try rebooting? I'm rooted and overclocked, but I suspect that's had very little to do with my good performance.

Well i managed to track down 2.5.0.160 which seems to be the one i had prior to the issues and all is well again.

I have the same problem with my Galaxy S WIFI 5.0. After update, the front/back camera is upside down.
Can place the apk somewhere accessible on the internet? Many many thanks.

No idea what it's called. But looks like it resizes the phone's usable area for one handed use. VERY cool, nice find!

My guess is its not Note 3 ?/ ( in video) or that feature comes from a device '"Vivo Xplay " a android phone ,also 5.7 inch screen ??

In the instruction manual that was recently posted, it does say there is a setting for one handed operation (page 50 of the manual). There's no diagram so it may or may not be similar to this feature, but one handed operation is included in some form on the Note 3.

i also think you are correct ,that the Note 3 could have adopted this type of function( one handed function)
I have read the Note 3 manual and yes if you look at wording etc( on page 50) it seems like
they implemented similar feature, than what the Vivo Xplay had ?
If so, i give it a thumbs up, as i was after this "Free Touch '"feature when i first saw it ..interesting !

That guy totally wasted our time, he didn't show how it works in that "windowed" mode...
Love the idea, I have to use phone with one hand all the time and with my short fingers it's practically impossible reach far corners, this would be absolutely perfect.
Can someone confirm this existing on N3?
P.S.
It's definitively N3 (or something faking it), Vivo Xplay doesn't have middle hardware button.

yes on Note2(for those who don't have Note2 ) presently only have a few one handed features
(keyboard ,dailer caculator and these apps ,you can only move left or right side off screen,see attached)
So i think Samsung, must have added " these " extra features..!!
Can anybody confirm it ?

[FIX] Another WiFi Fix

Hello
Little history: I bought my phone yesterday, and i'm shocked with de poor wifi. So I back to the store do change the device, but th saleswoman said I can't change it, because of the contract that I've signed with Claro (Claro is one of the mobile operator in Brazil, and I bought this device through a fidelity plan). So I decide to fix or brick this **** and buy another. Fortunately, I think I was able to fix it and my pocket thanks it.
First of all, let's clarify somethings:
1 - I don't know a **** about developing, so don't blame me with don't work. I'm sharing this solution (that worked for me) because I'm extremely grateful to XDA since of my first day in Android. And to fix this **** that Sony makes (haha!)
2 - As if I say, it's worked for me; My Wifi is detecting more networks now and don't disconnect them. Range is better to.
3 - If I can, I'll help, but I don't know a **** about developing (again!), and I hope that the real developers will come here do help who needs.
4 - I'm in 12.0.A.2.254 firmware (rooted) (BL Locked - I'll unlock it later to teste custom roms; just waiting a feel days because of factory issues)
Ok, let's go
I did it:
1 - root following this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2405933
2 - I downloaded that Rom for Xperia L (I think that is the same wifi devices on both phones) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2419042
3 - extract the file 01_____C_n_T_JB_4.1.2_15.0.A.2.17_V1.zip\system\etc\firmware\wlan\prima\WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini and put in somewhere of easy acess
4 - copy to your phone through root explorer
5 - Reboots
AGAIN: I don't know how to developing; I don't know if it will blow my phone or whatever; I just works here.
Thanks to serajr, for his amazing rom for Xperia L (I had one, but a mother****er stole it. It's a great phone. Better camera than Xperia SP)

My Wi-Fi issues had been resolved after the 2.254 firmware update, anyhow's great work, maybe this help people who suffer from poor wifi. ))

well to be true 2.254 firmware update did a little better though with the wifi.. but not as expected.:silly:

Well ok, you convinced me. I will try it out as well later tonight and will post results
At the moment my Galaxy Note II gets 2 bars at 10m distance with 2 walls.
While Xperia SP gets only 1 (or no bars at all) at distance of just 5m and one wall.

Frankly, I don't see any difference. I have the same signal power and the same problems with connection drops as I had before.

Well, in order to fix this problem, I searched the web a lot. I found many fix for it, but none of them works. I found a topic that says to overwrite this files and a lot of peoples saying that works, but not for me. So I tried this way and works.
I think it don't work for all devices, Like the lastest update solved the problem of wifi for a some peoples and not for other. Maybe something related to the region and the model of phone (5302/5303/5306/mh35)?

after overwriting, have to change permissions to r-w-r-r, otherwise wont work.

Weird, it is (almost) the same ini file as our phone however some lines are missing /diffrent..

Tried all the Wi-Fi fixes and still crappy connection

what do u mean by overwriting... in prima folder we have three files,,,, what to do next??
