Did that before posting, Titanium Backup will also not run

Sounds like you would have to try a factory reset.

I'm assuming you also power cycled the phone...so you might have to do a factory reset if it still doesn't work.
Titanium backup requires root so maybe you lost your root after the OTA update and that's why it's not working properly.

4.2 update failed due to missing app question

So I finally got the update pushed down to me and it failed since I used Titanium Backup to uninstall the Google Korean IME program. I reinstalled the program but I can't get the update to go again. I know I can flash it, but then I would need to reinstall everything and go through all that mess. Is there anyway to reset the update and do the install again? When I try to select "check for updates" it says my system is up to date.

You could try clearing data in the Google Services Framework and then check for updates again.

[Q] Unfortunately, Google Play services has stopped

This started a few days ago unexpectedly. I hadn't installed anything or made any changes. Whenever I start a Google app (like Hangouts) I get this message. I tap OK and then the app works. But the next time I start the same app, I get the message again.
I've tried clearing the cache for Google Play Services and Google Play Store. I tried Uninstall Updates for Google Play Store. Uninstall Updates is grayed out for Google Play Services though. Clear Data is grayed out for both.
Any ideas?
Update
It appears to be only Hangouts and Gmail that cause the error message popup. I tried restoring a Titanium backup of Hangouts, but it was the same.
The only other thing I can think of is to restore a nandroid backup.

If you have TiBu have you considered backing it all up and doing a factory reset? Not sure if a restore would restore your previous problems as well though. However, maybe a selective restore from TiBu after a factory reset?

This is probably what I will try after trying the nandroid restore. The problem is time, I won't have time to mess with it until the weekend.

[Q] Firmware update issues

I started setting up my Mojo, followed the steps to update the firmware, root, etc...
I noticed after the firmware update that I could no longer open the Tegrazone app or the Software Upgrade app (it gives me the "Unfortunately, [app] has stopped." error). Okay, weird, but I thought I would continue with the steps (my reasoning being that there was probably an update or something needed).
After getting everything rooted, updated, and lookin' good, I decided I'd check out the Tegrazone again; I still can't open it. This also happens with the Software Upgrade app - and since it is what I was directed to use to update the firmware, I can't try downgrading or re-flashing. (This also happened with Chrome when I had it installed, and the Play Music app.)
I decided I would do a factory reset - maybe I just installed something that was being weird. After doing a factory reset, signing in to my google account, I immediately tried the trouble apps again; same result.
So another factory reset, this time I didn't sign into google account or connect to wifi at all. Tried the apps; same result again.
So with it in factory default mode, the only change being that the firmware is updated to MO0202-WW, it would seem to be something caused by the firmware update.
I am kind of out of ideas; can I re-update the firmware over usb from my pc? I'm comfortable doing so, but I haven't been able to find any sort of guide or direction on what I should do from here. Should I even bother doing that? Is it possible that the non-working apps were corrupted (and for some reason a factory reset didn't restore their .apks)?
If anyone can give me any ideas or direction I'm willing to try. In the meantime I'm going to reset and root again.

quick question, everytime you factory reset. does it still maintain your root? maybe its not clearing everything. If i were you i would install titanium backup pro, delete tegrazone and reinstall it.

The root isn't maintained; I have to re-root after a factory reset. (How is using titanium backup going to help me? I've never used it.)
I've also thought about just deleting tegrazone and reinstalling it; the TLDR: have to remove it manually and sideload the .apk. Annoying. But I may try that.
In a similar vein; can anyone send me the Software Upgrade .apk?

[Q] Can't access Google Calendar...

Hi all, i've searched far and wide to resolve this but nothing seems to work that i've tried. I cannot sign in to add my google calendar to my phone. I'm able to do everything else: get email, get to playstore, etc. As far as I know i do not have 2 step verification setup. I'm on 4.4.2, rooted. When i try to add my existing google account to the calendar i get "couldn't sign in. There was a problem communicating with the Google servers. Try again later."
I dont want to have to do a factory reset if possible.
Thanks all!

Clear cache and dalvik cache, and delete data from the calendar app. If that doesn't work, uninstall the app, repeat the clearing procedure, then reinstall. It should work:fingers-crossed:
@ldeveraux thanks for the reply. I tried what I think is the process above but still no luck. Maybe I'm not following what you suggested correctly. I went into the data/dalvik cache directory and wiped it out, cleared the calendar data. But not quite sure what you mean by "clear cache" in the very first part of what you wrote. Can you maybe give me a step by step with a little more info? Thanks again.

You're rooted and have safestrap installed?
1) Go to App info on the calendar app and Clear Data
2) reboot to safastrap.
3) go to wipe menu, advanced wipe, then check ONLY Cache and Dalvik Cache
4) wipe these 2 ONLY, then reboot.
If that doesn't work, uninstall the calendar app, reboot, reinstall the app from the play store.
I have no clue if this will work, but it's worth a shot

Hello again, I added back Safestrap and followed the above and still the same results. I appreciate the effort. Any other ideas out there?? Also I can't uninstall the calendar app. I guess its the stock one that came with the phone. I can freeze or uninstall it with TB but i don't see it available on the play store.

I'm getting the feeling you didn't do this as I explained. You shouldn't delete the files or folders in a file explorer app. It should be done like I explained in SS.
And you can uninstall google Calendar with any uninstaller app or TB, either way. the new app to download is here, so yes it exists:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.calendar&hl=en

Apps crashing a lot on 10.5.13

So I'm having a lot of apps crashing on 10.5.13, I've tried clearing cache but the crashes are still persisting. Is my best bet to backup and factory reset? If so is there an easy way to backup?

How did you install the apps? Titanium?
If the system is causing problems then that can be wiped from stock recovery, back up first anyway.
If that fails then yep, back up and wipe.

Everything was installed from the play store. And I've just been taking incremental updates.
So to be clear I can wipe system from the stock recovery and not lose any data?
