Enabling accessibility apps without disabling S4 features - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've tried installing a few apps that require accessibilty services enabled, but when I do this I get a message saying that the new S4 features such as Air Gesture, Air View, Smart Screen, Multi Window etc. will be disabled as Talk Back will need to be enabled.
Apps such as tasker, lightflow etc. needs to turn on accessibility services in order to work.
Any idea of a way around this?

Tasker plugin to modify android wear settings ?

Anyone know any tasked plugins that will allow me to change android wear settings?
Ex: when connected to my car enable all notifications, on disconnect mute desired apps
Thanks
I am generally looking for a way to interact with my watch from my phone (including changing settings). I hope there is a way
I too am looking for this. I'd really like to be able to change notification settings and ambient light sensor depending on my location via tasker.
Interaction is already possible with Auto Wear (alpha status), requires abo on Autoapps. The settings part is missing so far.

Unfortunately, there aren't many APIs exposed for changing settings on Wear devices. I have a Tasker plugin for Wear that I'm adding more and more features to, but right now there aren't any actions in the plugin. I'm hoping that the next version of Wear will expose more APIs. If you want to see what it does so far the package ID is com.jarettmillard.localewear on the Play Store (I can't post links yet, unfortunately).

Recent apps floating windows

So I used to be able to long press on a recent app from the recent apps window. I seem to have accidentally disabled this though and I can't get it back on. I've tried disabling wanam and xposed as well as toggling any settings I thought might be related. Anyone have any ideas on getting that back?
Make sure multiwindow is enabled in the notifications pull down bar shortcuts.
Yeah, it is. Everything else multiwindow wise works.

How do I get rid of background usage?

In iPhone, you can simply disable background refresh and once you close specified application, it won't receive any updates, notifications won't popup. I can't seem to do same thing on my S8. I have restricted background data usage through connection settings, I have enabled limited data usage in both snapchat and instagram but still, they keep sitting in background and I get notifications from Snap. I have installed Greenify but apparently, without root auto hibernation doesn't want to work. Any advices? Samsung's inbuilt optimizer that is supposed to hibernate apps doesn't seem to work on these 2
Try Medium power saving mode, or data saver.

Battery manager stuff ?

Hello everyone !
I just bought a Redmi Note 7. This morning my alarm didn't ring for some reason. I use the Google Clock. Also I can't make "OK Google" working when my screen is off. Some notifications take time to be showed. Etc.
Is the battery manager thing responsible of all those "bugs" ? Is that a weird "Greenify" ?
Since I didn't unlock the device and install a real Android ROM, any of you have a solution for alarm so my boss don't kill me tomorrow ?
Thanks for your help guys.
Settings > manage apps > clock (or any other app) > battery saver > no restrictions.
Also enable autostart in the same settings menue.
And avoid stuff like naptime, if you are not experienced with such things.
Hi there. It's probably a MIUI battery saver thing. So for all of your mission critical apps whose notifications you want to receive instantly, do this:
1) Go to app settings for the app in question
2) Toggle on Auto start
3) Turn on all notifications that you want to receive
4) Set the battery saving setting to no restrictions.
If you notice that an app still gets closed in the background for some reason, add another step:
5) Open the app and then open the Recent apps screen. Tap and hold the preview image of the app in question. Tap the first icon (lock app). This will lock it in memory and only you will be able to manually swipe it off and clear it from memory. Tapping the Close All button in Recents will not close the locked apps.
After I had done this with the apps that I wanted real time notifications from (or battery tracking apps that I wanted always running in the background), I've never had any issues with late or missed notifications.
I don't use 'OK Google' to wake the phone. I'm not sure if this is possible with all newer phones or only with specific SoCs.
Thanks for your answers. That was that battery saver options. Have a nice weekend.
