Hi everyone
i was trying to install cutom rom in my gsy. i wiped it data , cache and dalvic cache . and installed it using 'install zip from sd' mode in CWM. and rebooted and waited to start in 5 minutes . but instead it just hanged in its galaxy young screen . And i am just blank what to do next
custom rom - jellyblast 3
If you can go to recovery mode try wiping data and cache again and if you can't go to recovery mode try flashing a stock rom again

But how can i flash
My mobile hangs just in the first boot screen i.e. where it states"Samsung galaxy y young GT-5360"
please learn to search,
there are like a thousands of threads out there to teach you how to fix your phone
Use odin. Download the appropriate firmware from the general thread and use Odin 1.85 provided in the attachment. Put your phone in download mode by holding home, power and volume DOWN key. Press the volume up key to enter Odin mode. Extract your firmware files somewhere and link the relevant files in the relevant places in Odin. Dont worry about the files not present. Connect your phone and there will be an indication your phone is connected. A white area turning yellow.
Click start. Youre most likely going to experience bootloops but now you can boot into recovery and wipe data and cache and install the ROM you wanted.
I flash the German jelly bean firmware through mobile Odin. When I first booted it all I see is a black screen. I went to go back to stock through desktop Odin but now my computer won't read it. Odin stops at NAND Write Start!!. Can somebody help me please?

If you have CWM , go to wipe data/factroy reset, wipe cache & dalvik & reboot.

Had the same problem over the past 24hrs
(I have a GT-N8013 with stock ICS firmware root injected installed, when I went to check if a JB update had come out it didn't recognize the stock root injected firmware as stock and proceeded to try and install ICS without root through TWRP and continued to loop through recovery and installation.. unsuccessfully)
I am now posting this from the GT-N8013 so here's how to do it:
1) Use ODIN to flash CWM (Google them if you don't know what they are. I am new and cant post links yet)
2) Boot Your Note 10.1 into recovery by holding down Volume Up and Power, wait until the samsung logo shows up twice, then release the power button and you should end up in recovery.
3) Wipe Data/Factory Reset
4) Clear Cache
5) Advanced/Wipe Dalvik Cache
-Repeat Steps 3-5 twice (three times total)
6) Reboot and voila! You are back to your original rom all nice and neat.
Tried that as well no go still goes to black screen after the screen that says Samsung galaxy note 10.1. I hear boot sound but Samsung doesn't show up just blank screen.

You are able to boot right...Then You should be able to enter recovery mode.Enter ClockworkMod recovery and wipe data and wipe cache and
also wipe Dalvik cache...
If the above steps fail to work then you have no other idea other than to flash stock rom via odin..
For steps see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465800

It's because you flash a different kernel.
try going to backup and restore in CWM
advance restore
restore everything except boot.img
then reboot
if it's still not working then flash stock ROM using Odin.

same happens with my i9505
You're on stock recovery... You need to flash a new recovery, CWM or TWRP to fix this....
I have tried cwm and twrp both using odin. Odin says PASSED as well but when I reboot in recovery mode it starts the stock recovery again. Any alternative way to install cwm or twrp recoveries? Thanx
