Nexus 10 won't boot after charging - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
My battery went completely dead, left it to charge over night, now wont boot at all. If its plugged into the charger and I hold the power button the full battery symbol (black and white) shows for about 2 seconds and then goes off for about the same time then reapers. Any ideas?
Device status:
- Stock rom
- boot loader unlocked
- non-rooted
I've tried :
- Hold power for 30 seconds to a minute
- Hold power + volume buttons for 30 seconds to a minute
- no response form my computer when its plugged in
- no response when trying to boot into fast boot
I am aware this has already been asked. I've tried the other threads but no luck
EDIT
I got mine to boot. I have literally no idea how, I just tried the power button again and it burst into life, although the battery was empty.
I think this could be due to not letting the battery die enough. I normally let my phone (HTC One) so completely flat every month or so but i've never done it for the Nexus 10.

The same problem please help

Serious bump. Ive tried all of these methods, but it just shows the charge icon when plugged in. This is the first time for me that it wouldnt just turn on after going into that sleep state. Charged over night.

I think this is the same issue that many (or a few) people are having. Mine, for example, will be at 100% charge. Then, sometime in the day (without using it) it will die. It will not power on. When I plug it into a charger, it will show the charge indicator on the screen, and I can get it to power on 50% of the time right away by holding down the power button for about 5-10 seconds.
When it boots up, the android tells me it is at 0% battery. If I leave it plugged in it will usually show 100% again after a short period of time, but until then, if i unplug it, the tablet powers right off.

Here is a pretty good thread to see the issue.

Here's a question for you:
Watch your battery life. At any point, does it begin NOT draining? Such as remaining at 60% for 2-3 hours during usage? If so, you may have a defective motherboard and require warranty replacement, as that was one of my symptoms.

[Q] Random reboot and no longer booting

Hi, so I've been doing a fair bit of reading, but I've not really found anything thats exactly like my issue.
So I got the Nexus 4 yesterday, today I've been using it for probably 3 hours, it was charged overnight last night to 100% and was still at about 65% when the phone randomly rebooted, no force close or anything. So it attempted to boot back up, showed the Google logo and then the nexus X, before going to a black screen.
From here I can't turn it back on, I've tried:
Power - up to 60 seconds
Power + Vol Up - up to 30 seconds
Power + Both Vol - up to 60 seconds
I then plugged it in to the wall (using the charger provided), there is no sign of life still, no battery charging screen, no flashing red led.
If I hold down the power button, while the phone is on charge, I do get the flashing red led.
Is this a case of leaving it to charge and assuming the battery is completely drained, or should I be contacting Google to start an RMA?
Should probably say, as I've only had it a day, no root, no custom rom, everything stock and on 4.2.2
Thanks.

Help Pls. My Nexus 7 2013 wont turn on.

It won't turn on even the battery icon is absent when I try to charge it. Also when I hold the power button for 15 seconds it only blinks/pulse 3 times(notification light). I bought this tablet at Best buy...and it's over 15 days now.
Can I still return. This one or get a replacement from Bestbuy/Google? My tablet isn't rooted yet with locked boot loader too.
Thanks.
Hold the power button for longer, like 30-60 seconds.
If that doesn't work, connect to charger and let it sit for a while, then repeat.

Thanks...it works now...and the battery was so drained it didn't power up for a couple of minutes ... . I checked the battery section and it was mainly caused by Vonage app...I don't know why ...it should consume about 50% of the battery... I just used it once . :/
I'm having the same problem I am completely stock with a locked boot loader. I had just took my device off the charger and it powered on and I saw Google so I thought it was starting up, when I looked back the device was off I've tried holding power for 30 seconds and even tried putting it back on the charger, but its not even showing the charging indicator.
Edit:I got it to work, I left it off the charger for 5 minutes and then tried charging it again and It started charging. I turned it on and it said I had 65% battery so I find it kind of weird that it didn't start up.

[Solved; Ignore] Phone on "charge" at 0% Instantly turns off when charger is removed.

[Solved; Ignore] Phone on "charge" at 0% Instantly turns off when charger is removed.
As the title suggests, my phone will only turn on when the charger is plugged in and the battery stats say "0% Charging (AC) - 0s on battery".
Little background. I just flashed stock and AK 301 kernel as well as the latest libs. Phone turned on just fine, battery was at 50%.
I then decided to run Antutu for the hell of it to see if there were any performance changes etc.
Whilst Antutu was running the phone just powered off and wouldn't power back on. I had a red blinking light and that was it.
Eventually I managed to boot in to recovery after following advice to hold power + vol down for 15 seconds then plug the charger in.
The phone was on charge for about 3 hours with the LED still blinking at me.
When I managed to get in to recovery I flashed the only ROM I had on there after wiping all data etc. Which was Mahdi ROM.
Now when I turned the phone on, after many failed attempts, the battery icon is completely depleted with the charging icon inside the battery and as said in my first sentence it says 0% Charging and as soon as I take the charger out, the phone turns off instantly and won't turn back on nor will it blink until I put the charger back in.
Does anyone know whats going on? Could the battery have come loose somehow? I'd like to open it up but I don't have the required screwdriver to do so, anyone know any other way I can crack the case open without damage?
Any help or suggestions are most welcome. I can't return it on warranty as I bought this phone 1 year ago on the 4th June... Of course this had to happen 6 days after warranty expired!
I think I spoke too soon.
I just decided to hold the power button and vol down until the phone completely switched off. Turned it back on and now my battery says 32%.And as of writing this it's now up to 34%. So it's actually showing that it's charging now, whereas earlier the phone was on for about 20 minutes and said 0% the whole time.
Odd. That's all I have to say.
I can't delete my post for some reason. So I'll just flag it as answered. Sorry about that.

Battery don't charge anymore. Fastboot still possible and see logo on cable plugged

Hello all,
After a long time with Android phones since 2009, it's the first time I have such an issue.
Yesterday, I noticed my phone was low battery, and charged it during the night. Didn't pay attention a lot at the morning, and used it a little bit. At work, I noticed battery was very low and realized it didn't charge over 3%. Let it like this a couple hour, and realized it didn't charge anymore - Screenshot 1
After a long call this morning, battery dies and it's now impossible to charge.
What I did.
When I plug it, little battery+lignthing symbol. Nothing else. (shouldn't I see a battery charging animation? I don't remember as the battery of this phone usually never dies.)
Fastboot is working well, I tried to fastboot erase userdata and cache, just in case.
When Pressing volume down+up a couple of seconds, as instructed is some help forums, I see the red battery low symbol (and charging text, but obviously don't charge) - Screenshot 2
When pressing power + volume down about 15-20s, same scenario than before but text is green - Screenshot 3
I tried to contact seller and make the warranty work, but they are still trying to contact Motorola and seems complicated.
Please help me, I have to use an iPhone 6 while waiting for a warranty/response, it's just.... so ... iPhonish....
Just a quick update.
With the help of an USB power meter, I noticed that the phone will never charge. (or just 0.01 Amp)
I used the vol down + power to get into Fastboot: the phone "charged" with 0.1-0.2 Amp.
Only issue is that the phone will only stay a few minutes in this mode, then restart and thus stop charging.
I repeated the operation a few times till I get 3% of battery.
Then I was able to reboot into recovery, where the phone took 1.14 Amp => Problem solved!!!
Did you solve the problem? I have the very same problem and can only charge my phone in recovery mode. If I connect the charger while already booted into system a circle with a horizontal line in it appears in the battery symbol.
Tried to flash another kernel or rom without success.
Any ideas?
Thank you
Did this ever get any solution? Same problem here....
I post what I did to fix it here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70917477&postcount=21

I don't know how many people are still using these, but I have a solution to this that doesn't involve opening up the tablet or anything else invasive.
The problem is that the screen stays on and drains the battery too quickly before android has a chance to fully boot, so it dies and then starts up again. So you want to let it charge as much as possible with the screen off, before finally letting it boot.
The way I do this is to plug the tablet into my laptop (for whatever reason this technique doesn't work with the wall charger), and then hold the power button down for like 5 minutes. Don't let go of the power button, just hold it down.
After the initial 30 seconds, the tablet will go into a boot loop of having the display on for about 2 seconds, and then off for about 10 seconds. The battery is charging during that 10 seconds, and the 2 seconds of display time isn't enough to fully drain it. Just keep holding that power button. After 5 or so minutes of this, once the display comes on just let the power button go. It should boot up completely into android and dim the screen (but hit the power button to turn off the display once it's fully booted up, just in case).
Android should now be slowly charging, and the lock screen will say it's at 0% or 1% and charging slowly. Just leave it alone and it will fully charge. After a minute it's usually got enough power to quickly switch from the laptop charger to the wall charger, if that's your preferred charging method.
