I am loading a SharePoint page into a webview using LoadUrl. All the other content comes down but not the images. If I use a Gingerbread phone or on the emulator all comes down fine. Anything above that ICS JB then the page loads without the images for this particular site. The site requires a cookie to login but that part is working fine its just once you get past the login page the next page is correct minus the images

Are you sure the images on the webpage are loaded through <img/> html tags and not through javascript ?
If they aren't then add this method to your webview :
Code:
mWebView.getSettings().setJavaScriptEnabled(true);

Has anyone been able to turn off the mobile view in any browser? I have tried Opra and Dolphin disabling the mobile view in both and it still brings them up. In the stock browser there is no option to turn mobile view off.
I got it to work using dolphin by clearing cache, data, cookies, and history in both stock and dolphin browser. The opened dolphin browser and hit menu>settings>user agent then just selected desktop. I think the key was clearing everything first.
it simply does not work on any of the browsers. Even if you clear all cache and cookies.
I have tried BBC iPlayer and The Sun in the UK. You can get the full homepage if you clear all data but as soon as you click a story or link you are taken back to the mobile site.
This is an absolute JOKE! I bought this to do full websites. Even my HTC Desire 2.2 views full sites. Obviously Samsung have messed around with the browser so much that they have screwed it up. Fancy selling a tablet that can only view mobile sites!
Oh I forgot to add...you can type about:useragent in to the browser and switch to desktop but it makes no difference at all.
Hi mate,
I had this issue until I flashed a different FW..
As soon as I flashed an tested this out it works no more mobile sites for me.
All you need to do is flash FW JK1
Make sure you back your data up.
I've read some guides but they seem to suggest removing battery. Is there any easier way of doing this? I'm not prepared to open it. If I don't get full sites working soon, then I'm just taking mine back. Don't see the point in having it as my Desire does a better job at the moment.
As I said Gareth you dont need to open it..
Just re-flash it

I have been playing around for awhile now and it hasn't shown a mobile view since clearing everything out. I haven't checked the sites your referring to but on espn and cbs sports are all the full versions even after clicking on stories.

Ah ok. Do you know of any links/tutorials for me to do this. I searched on here earlier but the one i found suggested taking the tab apart, so maybe I was looking at the wrong info.
Yes - Here is the link to everything you need. Theres also a tutorial of how to flash using Odin at the bottom of the page (This is what I used)
You will need to register to gain access to this part of the site.
http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-p1000.htm
First thing you will need to do is download a few things from the page.
We need -
P1000XWJK1 ## P1.PIT Version 2.2 2010 November (Located in the Europe section at the bottom)
Then scroll to the bottom of the page and look for -
NEW Odin: DOWNLOAD Version 1.7
Once you have all the files in a folder on your desktop. Open up the Odin folder and extract and you will see 2 files Odin and a PIT file.
Open up Odin and look to the right load up the PIT file that was included in the folder.
You then need to extract the .tar file from P1000XWJK1 that you downloaded. Once you have extracted it go back to Odin and load the .tar file in to the PDA section an tick the box.
Now that were ready to flash you must prepare the tab -
You will need to take both sim card and SD card out before we do this.
Once both have been removed turn the device off. Now power back on holding Volume down + home key.
You should now be in download mode - This is a black and yellow screen with an Android bot stood in a triangle digging. Once you are at this stage you are ready to flash.
Double check that the only options checked are -
Auto Reboot
F. Reset Time
PDA
Once you are happy hit the start button. You should now see Odin doing its thing and also the tab will show a progress bar. Once flashed you can check if the flash was successful by checking with *#1234#
As always
Remember to back up anything important that is stored on the phones memory as this may be lost during the flashing process.
Hope this helps
thanks mklass.
I followed your instructions and everthing is now working fine. I had to switch the useragent to Desktop but it now stays in Desktop mode and I'm able to view things like the full BBC iPlayer.
Thanks again.
I have been able to to view all pages in mobile and "full web experience" using dolphine, skyfire, default and opera mobile. Some times i have to diable mobile view on a per-site basis (like wikipedia). But aslong as i have cookies on they keep loading normaly.
Ps: the speed of opera is just mindblowing to me!

You may not see any advantage now, however, as more and more developers get a hold of this device they will start launching custom ROM's that speed up and improve the performance plus add more features to the device like we've seen on the Galaxy S devices.
Glad I could help you guys out.
As for the reason for flashing -
Quite a few people including myself were unable to view 'full' websites and kept be re-directed to the mobile version of the site. Even when the UA String is set to desktop mode in any browser the Tab would still still load up the mobile site. I heard that some people had this issue and others didn't.
I'd say that unless you have this issue there's not really any need to flash just yet.
ah i see.. ty for the answers guys
opera Mini right?

No, opera mobile. It was released less than a month ago. I recomend it strongly! You can find it in the marketplace.
The only thing it is missing is the google search integration wich gives "the google instant" experience.
If i need to view flash videos outside of youtube i use skyfire since it has a optimizing feature for flash videos. Rest of the time i use operamobile. It makes the browsing, scrolling, zooming and loading comparable to the ipad, if not bether.
I used to browse on a n900. Compared to this device with opera, what a joke the n900 is.
So if anybody is worried abot slugish browser on the tab (wich is true for the default browser); know that opera mobile more than fixes that problem.

I've been messing around in google app inventor getting an idea for the flow of code and figured that it's time to step up to an actual coding environment.
So I went and downloaded the most recent SDK and eclipse. I installed all the available resources and revisions.
Then i hit a snag. The guide said that in order to properly set up Eclipse i need the ADT plugin. I opened the help menu and went to install new software and clicked on the add button. In the name section i put "ADT Plugin" and in location i put the exact web address they gave and it kept giving an error that said unable to connect to repository... i even tried http over https but still experienced the same issue. I entered the website enter my web browser in hopes that it would connect to a ftp server or start a direct download but unfortunatly it was a google site that was no longer available.
So i want to know if theres a mirror download somewhere that i can manually install to eclipse.
Also my eclipse info

lol - glad to help mate.
Okay just ran into another hitch
I downloaded the zip file and go to install new software but instead of the website i use the archive. It provides me with a list of 3 options
Android DDMS
Android Development Tools
Android Hierarchy Viewer
I put a check in each box and click next it says calculating Dependencies and requirements then i get an error that says
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: Android Development Tools 8.0.1.v201012062107-82219 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 8.0.1.v201012062107-82219)
Missing requirement: Android Development Tools 8.0.1.v201012062107-82219 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 8.0.1.v201012062107-82219) requires 'org.eclipse.gef 0.0.0' but it could not be found
Now this has me at a loss. If i downloaded the Archive in theory i shouldn't have to connect to any more sites to install the plugin. I want to know if there is a way to drag and drop the contents of the archive to a plugins folder then open eclipse and refresh the installed plugins in order to show that ADT has been installed.
Not sure if the 64 bit side of things could be an issue (either for you or for anyone), but this guy seems to have solved the same problem...
http://superuser.com/questions/221944/huh-jdk-not-found-on-windows-7-64-bit
Hope it helps mate.
KK ill see if i can follow this and come up with a fix to my issue. not too sure how this will work since im running a 32bit system with windows Vista
I'm still experiencing the same issue with eclipse unfortunately, i even downgraded to Galileo instead of Helios thinking that it was an incompatibility issue with the newest version or the most recent version. I even tried dragging the .JAR files in the ADT zip into the eclipse folder in an attempt to get Eclipse to recognize the plugins without having to install them through the "install new software" dialog.
Everytime I try to connect to the download server it gives me a message that says An exception stack trace is not available. Or Unable to connect to repository http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/content.xml
Connection refused: connect
Hi All,
We'll be sending out a newsletter shortly to anyone who registered with us when they were setting up their MOJO but I thought the community here on XDA would appreciate some early notice. The new firmware release is available now and can be downloaded from this link:
ftp://86.54.116.234/pub/software/mojo/firmware/mojo-signed-ota-MO0202-WW.zip
I recommend downloading directly on MOJO so it goes straight into your Downloads folder. It's then simply a case of running the Software Update app in your All Apps view, selecting the 0202 update and then clicking Upgrade.
As I've mentioned on a few other threads this will remove Paul's Modaco Root Mod, but you can then reapply the mod back once the update has finished.
The main feature this update adds is Over The Air update capability so manual updating won't be required in future. It also addresses the bug with Bluetooth keyboards where the onscreen keyboard keeps appearing, along with a couple of other Bluetooth tweaks.
Awesome. Will update mine tonight after work, then reapply the MoDaCo Mod. Let you know how it goes...

I don't understand what that means. Can you be more explicit? When, while using Dolphin, I click on the link provided, I get "page not found". Ditto when I use the stock browser. Have you downloaded an FTP client add on to Dolphin of ???
Did you install ES File Manager, as we recommend in our Getting Started section from the M.O.J.O. link on your homescreen? If not try it and then see if that can handle the download for you when you click the link.

I did install ES File Manager when I initially set up my MOJO. At some point since then, I "updated" to version 2.4.9.8 (Aptoid notified me that an update was available if I recall correctly). Given your instructions, I went back and checked the version available from Google Play, which is 3.1.0.1. I uninstalled 2.4.9.8 and installed 3.1.0.1, and tried the URL you provided again, and now it is downloading (extremely slow download speed BTW - ~60Kb/s).
I read somewhere recently that Asian cultures enjoy ambiguity in their instructions. Whether that is true or not, I do not know. I however, detest ambiguity. If MCZ ever hopes to make MOJO ready for the masses, please be as explicit as possible with your instructions. Doing so will prevent a lot of frustration.
PS: Thanks for your help!

Downloaded the update and installed it per the previous post, but knowing that the update can be accomplished using the update firmware link contained in the mojo setup app is good to know. Thanks!
The explanation from the entrance post may confuse some people.
It's not a must to download the firmware directly with the M.O.J.O.
You can download the update with your computer at the regular way and put the file on a sdcard.
It should be listed in the update tool, if you start it.
You only need to choose it and answer the dialogue box.
Hi
When i clik on upgrade, android shutdown and never restart.
Are you running the file off the MOJO internal memory?
If youre doing it via USB, plug the thumb drive into the USB 3.0 port (if you plug it into the USB 2.0, it won't work).
try to force, it s work
Thank you

Yesterday I whished to try this rom on my Galaxy S3, but as I opened this device's page on the official website appeared to me a page with little more than a searchbox (that seems not working) . I tried to open other pages of random devices in the legacy section but the same page appeared. I also tried with different browsers (Firefox nightly, Internet Explorer and Firefox for Android) but nothing changed. I can't write the link because I haven't reached yet the 10 posts limit. I hope this is the right place to tell about this issue, otherwise I don't know where to write!
