[Q] Sound and Shot file format - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
Does anybody know which file format the S4 creates when doing "sound and shot"?
Does it create separate files for audio and image or is it combined in one file?
Will this format be playable on any other device of PC?
Hope that someone can help me out.
If someone is really good at discovering this, I am able to supply an example (JPEG) file.
Kind regards,
Groentebroer

Install / run from storage card

I have an app created with pocketpccreations applications. This contains the
exe file, custom points(DLL's) and my own forms. I need to be able to send a
client a storage card with all the data on it.
When the card is installed the client has to find the exe file and create a
short cut to it within the programs folder. Is there a way to automates
this. EG when the card is put into the pocket pc automatically add a
shortcut to the exe file. Alternatively is there a method to copy all the
files to the internal memory and create a short cut to the exe file.
Any help or links appreciated.
Cheers
SteveW
Not my field really but if you make a directory named 2577 on the card the system looks in there for files to execute when card is inserted, as far as I know.
Take a look here for more details.

Got it working. Another question
Is there the equivalent of writing bat files. I need to run a bat file to add the program to the start up menu.
Any help appreciated.
e-Pocketsetup2003
google it - creates an installer OR you can create a cab file to do what you want
I have taken a look at both of these links but still can't seem to make sense of any of it. Okay I admit it maybe because of me, but I am looking for simialr info. I have Tom Tom5 & want to load it onto an SD card so that when I send it to whoever it will upload & install automatically onto the device. I know this can be done but the real question is HOW? Any help would be greatly appreciated but please keep it as simple as possible, a bit like me........

Can anyone please help me? I have an SPV M3100. I accidentally cut and pasted about 20 pictures (jpeg) into the following file UA Contents/UA MMS Log. By the time i realised the phone had converted the files to a DAT format. Does anyone know of anyway i can convert them back to JPEG so i can salvage the pictures.
Any help much appreciated.

Help me kick the limit of my Herald to the curb!

Hey guys. I need your help. I think that with our combined know how, we can achieve this.
The Herald formats its storage memory using the size of the os.nb within the nbh file. It completely ignores the actual partition table within the os.nb. The problem is that the flasher for the Herald and Atlas has a size requirement of 51.2mb. If the file is smaller than this, the ruu says the image is corrupt. I can pad the image with FF's but it will still use the physical size of the file. (This is an observation, I haven't had time to "test" out my assumption.)
Can someone help me figure out a way to hack the RUU to allow flashes of smaller size?
ANY help will be GREATLY appreciated.
Bump. Anyone willing to help? I've been trying to decompile the RomUpdateUtil to no avail. I don't have the tools and the knowhow.
At the very least does anyone know what tools I can use? All my decompiling tools only work on Win32 files.

Click to collapse
set "USB connection" setting to mass storage and select your SD-CARD ...and connect the PPC to computer..
and the computer will recognize your "SD-card" as a removable drive!
then you can easily copy mp3s or any file you want to your ppc!
good luck!

[q] how to record in mp4 format

Hello can anyone tell me how i can set my u8800 to record in mp4 format.
thank you.
what format is your output file?
have you tried to change the the file from xxxxx.xxx to xxxxx.mp4?
normally the encodings are the same if you change the file format should work. give it a try and let me know
Thank you Druida69
i will try it
but i would like to know if there is a seting that i can choose the record format.
have you try it m8?
choosing the output format I dont think its possible normaly.
I know that in some apps you can do this, such as LGcamera. You can get it for free in market.
But if by changing just the file extension will work there theres no need to worry in what format the file will be recorded in first place,
