Ok, so first off I rooted my previous phone (a Verizon Motorola Droid X2) without any problems ever. I dropped Verizon as my carrier and switched to Straight Talk and I bought the Samsung Galaxy S4, after a few months of having it I decided to look for a way to root it. After a few days of browsing and reading about I found and root option that worked. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565758) This saferoot worked and i had superuser and was able to do everything i wanted to.
I then went on the Google play store and installed apps that I previously had on my old device for rooted phones. Well I installed chainfire3D and opened it up and clicked install the drives (which then requires a reboot) after a sort time I noticed my phone was stuck on the loading screen and I can't get past it.
I then start looking for a unroot/unbrick option in order to restore my phone to default firmware and factory settings to get it to work again.
Now here is the dilemma...
Like it says in the title, the phone model is SGH-S970G and for the life of me I can't find this model's firmware anywhere.
plz help me asap!!!!
Thank you in advance for any useful information to help point me in the right direction or give me a solution!

If you get your phone fixed, I suggest you skip reinstalling Chainfire 3D. It specifically says it's not for Jelly Bean devices.
Hi guys. I've rooted and flashed my s2 countless times and never had any problems, but i've now upgraded to my s4 and every time i've tried to flash a rom on it something has gone wrong. The first time i tried flashing fox hound and my 3G wouldn't work. I then tried flashing my backup and ended up bricking my device. After many long hours I managed to get my phone back to factory setting. A few weeks later I tried again with the google edition Kit Kat Rom, but then the play store wouldn't work. So I tried flashing my back up and yet again bricked my device and spent even longer fixing it. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.. I'm doing everything exactly as I'm told. So I thought I would give it one last try. So I've had to root my phone again, but now after I rooted it I'm not getting Superuser, SU or BusyBox... I'm running Root Checker and it;s not coming off the "Checking for root access" display. As you can probably tell I'm not the best when it comes to technology. If there's someone you can help get me on the right track I would be very grateful.
Oh and also, I've been hearing the words (Verizon and AT&T) etc and I don't know what type of phone i Have. All i know is it is an S4
Hello everyone,
i am fairly new to the world of rooting and recently encountered a problem while flashing a rom
i have the at&t samsung galaxy note 3 N-900A running 4.3 jellybean (2 year contract expired and i got and used the unlock code)
i rooted the phone using the kingo root app, because i could not update the phone (I recently moved out of the USA so i cant connect to an at&t server to update)
i installed safestrap recovery 3.71 and it was running fine
i found a tutorial from galaxy note 3 root for the knoxraid ro
(put youtube. c o m here) /watch?v=8HDHt4xSnQY
according to the tutorial i had to install the rom over the stock rom file
so i copied the stock rom to rom slot 1
this is where i messed up, i installed the knoxraid rom over the stock rom without wiping/data factory reset first. But it gets worse, i realized i forgot to wipe the data from safestrap so before the install was even halfway completed, i pulled the battery out.
now whenever i turn it on it will go straight to recovery mode
it wont even turn off. i have to pull the battery out.
i can get to download mode and recovery mode but thats it.
im not sure about the build number because it wont boot up
all i can tell you is it is a at&t note 3 running 4.3 jellybean
please help if you can
btw: my computer wont recognize the phone because it says the PHONE does not have the correct drivers installed
however odin still recognizes it with the blue box with 0:[COM6] if that helps
so yeah please help me the phone is fairly new and i dont want to waste $600

However, head over here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2703006 , and read very, very carefully.

The other night my gs4 running OC3 decided it didn't want to live anymore and randomly rebooted and hung at the ATT splash screen. Took the phone to best buy and had them reflash it. The phone would then boot but ran incredibly slow and certain apps just wouldn't open. Fast forward to last night and the network died. My IMEI is gone and everything having to do with the phones identification was wiped out.
I'd like to downgrade the phone from 5.0.1 to 4.2.2 and possibly get twrp onto it. I don't care about tripping knox or bricking the phone as I've already gone and got a new one. Worst case scenario I have a brick, best case I can install custom roms and use it as a multimedia device. Can anyone point in the right direction for experimental methods people are too afraid to test or guides that might help out? I did some searching and found a few relevant posts but nothing concrete relating to this situation. Any help is appreciated!

Could try hear to get imei back
Hello all,
I recently discovered that my S5 was only running KitKat despite Marshmallow having been released for it. I checked for OTA updates and it found nothing, so I decided to flash a custom 6.0 ROM onto it (and for some reason I ended up deciding not to make a backup of the phone beforehand, the ultimate mistake).
The problem became that it didn't recognize Tracfone for my service provider and wouldn't connect to the mobile network. I then downgraded it to a 5.0 ROM, and it no longer even recognized the SIM card, saying there was none.
So I tried to flash the original stock ROM a few times, but every time either got errors from ODIN, the phone itself, or the TWRP bootloader.
Long story short, I seem to have screwed up multiple times trying to install a ROM to get around KitKat and now my phone appears to be softbricked. I can get into the TWRP menu and the "download" mode, but when trying to start the phone, it sits on the "Samsung Galaxy S5" screen with the "Set Warrenty Bit : kernel" text at the top left.
I'm just wondering if there's a way to fix it at this point, or if I've completely trashed the phone.
If anybody has suggestions or experience with this, all help is welcome!
Thanks!

Are you sure you have the stock firmware for the 902l and not the 903vl? The reason you didn't get the update for 6.0 is you have the 902l model. If you had the 903vl model you'd have 6.0. Straight talk never released it for the 902l model. No idea why being both models are very similar. Im not sure but if you make it back to stock on kitkat. I think you can use safestrap from the Verizon s5 to use some custom roms that run kitkat. If your bootloader is in fact unlocked and you can install a custom recovery other then safestrap. I believe you can install pretty much anything but I'm pretty sure straight talk ships the phones with the Toshiba chip so the bootloader isn't unlockable
