Hey guys,
I'm thinking about selling my HD2 to an American friend of mine. It's the EU version and I was wondering if it will also work in the U.S. It's not all CDMA over there, isn't it? And what price would you suggest? It's in a really good condition and I was thinking about $200.
He would get me a American Galaxy Nexus (which is now being sold for 400$ directly from Google), which should work over here, I guess?
Thanks guys!

We have gsm as well, but it depends on specifications of the hardware, some phones don't like T-Mobile frequency bands.

So he would be tied to certain carriers? And how do I find out if/how it will work?
Does anyone know if the i9500 is available on the O2 network in the UK? I see lots of listings for it on ebay but not sure if it's actually available. Can't find any information on it online.
Anyone?
Nope I think the only version of the S4 available to actually buy in the UK is the I9505.
You could get the I9500 on eBay, and i'm sure it'd work with O2, but you wouldn't be able to use LTE whenO2 finally deliver it, plus there isn't as much development on the I9500 as there is on the I9505.
I live in the UK and am on a Vodafone contact, I am planning to buy the S5 when it is released here. However I am off to New York in a few weeks and looking at the US unlocked pricing I can save myself over £100.
Is the US and UK phone exactly the same as I know previous models were different and will it work with my sim ?

Think the LTE bands may be different. Best to wait til they're released to check specs of both.

Any US model won't work on LTE in the UK or EU. Only 3G will be working.
However, you can easily buy international version of S5 in the US cheaper than in the UK and it will work on LTE in the UK.
International version are SM-G900F or H.

Try here : http://www.voloxcellular.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=samsung+s5
Or you can go to their store so that you will be able to ask everything you wanna know. :fingers-crossed:
Many thanks for all your replies, I will be sure to go to the store and even try my sim before i buy.
I'm planning to buy a second hand Galaxy s4 from Craigslist. Which one should I buy for use in India? Besides the International version, which version should I get from a development standpoint? (Verizon, Sprint, T-mobile, At&T). I'll be using a GSM network in India but I think any of these will work on GSM network assuming they have been unlocked from their carriers.
Thanks.
why dont you buy an international one?

Hi All,
Can anyone advise if Samsung S8 US version going to work as it should on European networks? Or is it better to buy the international one? There is a good offer at the moment - $550 on ebay and $575 on samsung website - and I wonder if it makes sense to bring it back?
Regards!
