Hello everybody,
I just switched my Samsung Galaxy S1 (GT-i9000M Bell/Canada) to a Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919V Videotron/Canada).
I had really good experiences using custom ROM on my first one, so as a developer, I plan to contribute on SGS4 ROMS.
Anyway ...My real question is : I would like to know what are the best tools and methods to make a full system backup (Rom, modem firmware, IMEI....etc).
Thank you!

TWRP has a release out to support the S4 now. 2.5.0.0 I believe. I installed it on my non-rooted S4 yesterday using Odin and did a full system backup.
TWRP confirmed booting on my end. I'm waiting on the next CM10.1 to test nandroid out.

Hi Guys!
I got a classic Samsung Galaxy S i9000 and i used to mess with the roms and Kernel, however ... I've recently upgraded to Samsung Galaxy SIII and i decided to be a good brother and pass my old i9000 to my sister ... However, before i can , i need to fix this !
Is there a way to make the i9000 completely stock again? at this point the CWM is still installed even after factory resetting the device..
It's been quite a long time since i messed with it and i dont trust my own knowledge anymore so i figured i'd post a message.
If there is a quickfix for the Wifi, that will do too :highfive:
Thanks guys !

Have you backup your phone's orginal ROM with CWM before flashing the custom rom?
Hello,
You can flash it with Odin. Read more tut about Flashing with Odin on the forums.
Sent from my GT-S6102 using xda app-developers app
Ok so I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-I337, I dont really understand what flashing is and would like someone to explain it to me please. And also if I flash my galaxy will I lose all of my Data?
flashing
flashing means installing a custom rom a different operating systeme from a developer you do a nandriod back up for your settings with twrp or cwmr and back apps up with titanium back up hope this helps you

You need to read the "pinned" threads in the general and q&a sections before you brick your phone. Everything is already explained in those threads.
Hi guys
Wondering if someone can help me flash the latest MIUI ROM to my Galaxy S4 I9505?
Currently using the latest official british firmware for it which uses Kitkat.
Though phone was bought in Australia.
Just want to be 100% sure of everything before i proceed to flash it.
Thanks in advance

Hello guys,
I am verry sorry to bother you with this, but I am just to dumb for this part.
I am quite familiar with the whole custom rom business but I try to fix my mothers phone where I installed a Cyanogenmod custom rom (12.1) some time ago.
She experiences some mobile network issues which, I guess, are related to a old baseband / modem version causing troubles.
Can you tell me which version is the right one to flash via Odin or preferably via twrp?
I plan on updating it before installing the lastest 12.1 CM snapshot.
I believe she has the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 International with LTE and Snapdragon processor.
Under baseband version ("About the phone") it says I9505XXUEML6.
(I dont know if this is correct I can remember that I once installed a Google Play Edition Rom to get rid of the bloatware).
The phone was bought in Germany.
I know that you guys are probably busy with more important stuff but I'd really appreciate it if you could quickly help me with that.
Have a great day.
Thank you in advance.
Update: I got the files, changed the cable Odin passed but no version change!
Update 2:
Manually going into fastboot instead of using the reboot menu did it! Thank you so much. (Maybe add that info to the guide to avoid similar problems with othe people)
Thumbs up & good night!
