Hey guys,
First of all, I searched for my problem but couldn't find a solution anywhere. This is the most unusual kind of "bootlogo stuck". My phone shows the bootlogo for several seconds, then turns off. I go to the recovery mode (CWM), it appears ("reboot system now", "...", all that), but then again the bootlogo appears and after several seconds the phone turns off. I go to the download mode, it appears, but then again, I see the bootlogo and my phone turns off. So obviously flashing the stock rom turned out to be a failure in this case. I first thought that maybe I needed to recharge my phone. But when I plugged the charger, there was no display of the battery icon. I left it like that, hoping it was charging, but the same problem occurred after a while when I checked. Oh, and one more thing, whenever, I took out the battery and put it back again, the bootlogo showed up (even when I hadn't touched the power or any button!).
It's been several months since I detached myself from Android development. The last ROM that I flashed was Hyperion 8 four months ago, I don't exactly remember the kernel that came with it.
If power button seems to b the issue, you can fix it by *slightly* striking its side against a hard surface(may b table or wall). You might not believe but this method is 99% working.
But do this only when u r left with no choice. Don't get me wrong

i also had this issue... you can't catch up with recovery console or download mode because the phone automatically turns off..
Reason: The power switch is shorted... But sometimes the rubber between the power button and the switch in the circuit is jammed... i fixed it myself... replaced the microswitch myself.....
Same problem
HELP!! Same problem. Stroked against hard surface and flashed the ROM.
nothing worked. Help please.
Cool !!
It really did work! what a hardware i've got here.

Hey guys
I am really sad because my wildfire became handicapped today...
I was playing around with it surfing and playing games
Then I put it on the table played abit on the pc but when I picked it up again the screen didn't turn on when I press unlock I felt feedback so it means the phone works the screen isn't tried restart it vibrates but doesn't turn on screen...
What can be the cause?
Is it because I updated nightlys every two or so days?
Thanks
Plug battery out. And plug it. It happen for me a few times in nightly

tried everything...
battery pull out, charge it, remove sim\sd... anything...
----
oh and forgot to mention
right before the screen died it went white then it never turned on again
is there a way to flash an rom to the wildfire without touching the device? i.e cable?
i currently have no screen but the device is alive...
Is your screen completely dead? Or only after booting? I.e can you see the bootamimation? Try booting into bootloader mode (volume down + power)
If your screen is completely dead it might be a hardware issue.

Why is this in the Dev Forum? Please move!
Yes perhaps it is in the wrong section but by posting that your basically spamming up the forum.
Anyway on topic i agree find out if it really is your screen or just a dodgy flash of a rom

sorry didnt know where to post,
and no i dont even see the animation... as i turn it on i only feel vibration for a sec then i can hear it boot.. but still no screen..
oddly it was after flashing a nightly..
and as i asked:
can anyone tell me if theres a way to flash RUU without screen ? i suspect it might be a problem with software..
Hmmmm you could get sdk and get mobile on pc screen.
not too sure but exhaust all avenues. Have you tried soft reset?
Vol down + power + trackball

hi,
Download the original RUU from Shipped Rom, it happen to me,,and connect ur Buzz (at least it should be turn on, just white scree thats ok) ,,,and just wait, it will return it to the original 2.1 Eclair,,so u can do unrevoked to root ,,CM7 is not stable, i choose wildpuzzle more fasst and stable.
MC
In my experience with ipods, a white screen is usually a hardware issue (ie it needs changing), which seems to be consistent with what you experience (no startup logo).
I hope it is not the case for you, and that your problem will be solved by flashing a different rom.
Good day to all!
I am experiencing a problem with my Samsung Galaxy Y and I badly need your help. This is what happened.
This morning my phone shutdown and kept on opening only until the Samsung Galaxy Y logo. So what I did was removed the battery and put it back again. At around 12 o'clock, I kept doing the same procedure and my phone opened. I was able to send messages to my friends. After 30 minutes, my phone died again. AFTER THAT INCIDENT, THE ONLY WAY TO OPEN IT IS BY REMOVING THE BATTERY, AND BY PUTTING IT BACK AGAIN, IT BOOTS UP TO THE SAMSUNG GALAXY Y LOGO ONLY! then it turns off. In order for it to open again, I'll have to remove the battery then back again. But it keeps on dying. It only reaches the Samsung Galaxy Y logo for around 5 seconds.
I tried putting it on Download Mode, but after 5 seconds it dies again.
Thank you,
Hoping for you replies, ASAP!
Did you try flashing stock?

I already tried that. My battery works on my friends SGY. When I use his battery it's just the same problem.
Maybe it's a hardware problem.... Though u try flashing stock Rom using odin like he said..... If it happens again I think it's a job for the service centre.... Good luck

Yes. And rooted phone= warranty exploited. So, as far as you have a stock rom( non rooted) you're good to go.
Just tell them you tried to update using kies and it got stuck.

I'm not using SGY's stock rom. I'm using Hyperion 8. What will they do to me if they found out that my phone is rooted?
If they find out and your phone's under warranty then they will not consider the warranty. Since you can't flash the stock rom just tell them that your phone got stuck in between the process of updating the firmware via kies. They will try to flash the stock rom via other methods and i guess then they won't know. I'm not really sure but am telling of what all I've read on online forums.
Good day fellow XDA developers and members.
I got an update with my phone. I think the power button got stuck. Why?
1.) I can access download mode with just pressing Volume down + home button
- *it boots in Download mode but closes after 5 seconds*
2.) Once it boots into the Samsung Galaxy Y Logo it closes after 4 or 5 seconds.
- I think that can only be triggered if you are still holding the power button.
3.) Every time I insert the battery, my phone turns on by itself BUT only until the Samsung Galaxy Y logo then it shuts down.
What do you guys think? As far as I know, you can't access download mode with just volume down + home button.
Thank you for your support! PLEASE KEEP ON HELPING ME! STAY TUNED FOR MORE DETAILS!

Hey,
I've searched this forum on others but haven't found anyone who've had my problem.
I have an original GT-i9500 purchased a little over a year ago around the launch. The phone was rooted and had a custom ROM installed. (Crash ROM). I have installed the ROM about 3 months ago, and haven't fiddled with it recently. I've had CWM installed.
Yesterday I've noticed that the device went into boot loop all of the sudden. I haven't done anything unusual when it started boot looping.
I can see the Samsung logo for a couple of seconds, but then the screen turns off and the logo comes again. Loop. Trying to enter recovery mod (CWM) doesn't work. Phone keeps looping. Trying to access download mode does work partially. I can get to the screen where it says "Warning!!" and asks to click "volume up" to continue. But stays on that screen for a few seconds and then boots to the logo again. Happens whether I click "volume up" or don't.
I have no idea what caused this. But shortly before it started I did see that an app that uses wanam was updated (bubble UPNP) and there was some notification about it from wanam.
any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
You have eaither a malfuntioning power button, a faulty battery or some other hardware failure.
This is not a software problem.

I have exactly the same issue, tried plug in power supply, shows an empty battery icon with circle in the center, stays for a few seconds and screen goes blank. It repeat this process if i keep it plugged to the power supply.
Just an update in case anyone ever finds this thread and is experiencing the same symptoms. It was indeed a faulty power button. Having it replaced has solved the problem.
It was apparently stuck on "pressed" mode (not physically, i would've noticed that). Another indication for that was that putting in a battery would automatically turn the phone on.
i know it was before a few months back,
but anyway... i got the same issue too, but my phone was on stock rom without root.
this is random annoying issue...
as i understand from you guys, i will need to take the phone to a lab to fix this, bummer!

Faulty power buttons, faulty power buttons everywhere.
I fail to understand how samsung does this. This has been like the 500th stuck power button issue here.
Looks like we have to add it in the guide.

I've got my phone back from the repair service and it was indeed a failure of the power button electric circuit,
(i don't know exactly how to translate it correctly to English, but they say something about secondary electric circuit board)
anyway, it been replaced and the phone came back to live again
I got it fixed today..
I think it should be added as a major cause for bootloop, if you cant open recovery or go to download mode
at first i thought my phone was bricked but then after some hard searching i found out this thread and proceeded accordingly..
I opened up at the phone and checked the power button myself with my instruments.. then i took it to repair center and told them to replace the power button... simple as that.. cost me 9$

Well mine S4 turned of last night it freezed and it turned off. I'm on Broodroms Pre Final 4.4.4. After i pulled out the battery and placed it back then it boots but then again it shows only the S4 splash screen and then it turns off again. I've read some things on the internet that it maybe can be a dead battery that is causing this problem. Or maybe it is an another problem maybe that you XDA members can help me it would be great :fingers-crossed:

That happened to me once and reason was because the phone was not charging (even if USB has power supplied).
To solve this, I first removed it from the samsung charger and charged it using a laptop or computer for approximately 10 minutes.
That will get it charging

Searching on the internet people say that it's a faulty battery so i could try that method and if that is not working i think it's something with the mainbord (i hope not)

Hello folks.
So I left my A1 charging at night, the alarm woke me up as usual in the morning. Just before leaving home I took it to check the time and then it was already "dead".
PS: The phone was never been knocked over, wet etc...
Symptoms:
- Black screen, as if was turned off / without battery;
- Buttons do not work;
- Doesn't react to any connections.
- Doesn't enters fastboot mod;
- It's not recognized by the computer;
- Also not charging.
Any help is welcome, best regards.

It's a possibility, but it's strange the phone has like 4 months of use, never had any problem.
I'm willing to try some stuff first, even open the phone to unplug and replug the battery on the mb.
Otherwise at my country (Brazil) Xiaomi has no warranty

So yesterday a oppened the phone, disatached the flats and atatched then again, unfortunatelly didn't help =[.
We also made some tests and seems like it could be an issue with the battery seems like it's not charging nor receiving any charge.
Seems like the "regulator" of the battery or something like that is not working as it should.
I'm gonna try to test this a in a more acurate way, at least to be sure that it's the battery.

The phone will power on without any battery attached at all, so remove it and see if you get life. If not, then it's not the battery.

So yesterday i tryed to make the phone enter at the EDL mode, by jumping the 2 points on the motherboard. Unfortunately the computer didn't recognized the phone at all, i'v tryed several times.
I'm starting to think that something related to the the motherboard just died.
I'll lend it to a tecnical that can fix it or at least confirm the death of the phone to me.

Just tested it yesterday, without success.
Even with the battery disconnected and ubs at computer or charger, the phone still not giving any signal of life.
Does it mean that it must be a serious problem?

Hello mate.
I'm sry for you phone, at my case i'm starting to believe that the mb/cpu died.
I was thinking that it could be the board at the bottom (ubs, mic jac) but i have been told that it's really rare this to happen.
Yesterday i tested the battery and it's fully charged, (so the battery isn't the problem)
I'm weeling to take it at the end of the week into a tec who can test all the hardware stuff in order to know what actually have failed.
Have u also tryed to engage ur phone at EDL Mode?

Hi.
Yep also tried shorting the test points, it does not respond to anything. Just totally dead.
Its sad cause i really loved that phone. I might buy a used cheap one with a broken screen and use its main board or other parts.
Thanks Knievel
