Does anyone have optimal settings for use with this router? My YouTube downloads are extremely slow. I've experienced this issue with previous phones as well.

Have you tried going to linksys website for your question?

OP a Google search for your router would benefit you more than posting in the Device forms....Thanks

So whenever I watch a streaming video whether it is using Google play, Netflix, or YouTube app the internet just seems to go in an out. I have downloaded WiFi analyzer and speed test.net apps. Both are showing I have should have no issues streaming videos. Its really frustrating. Is this a known issue or should I get an RMA??

This problem is likely to be either your router or your ISP. Have you tried testing streaming on a different network?
I don't have access to a different network. The kindle fire I sold to get the nexus 7 had no issues streaming video. Hence why I am concerned with my nexus 7.
U also have access to an iPad that has no issues either.

The problem is the router for sure, use the WiFi analyzer app to find the strongest channel then set your router to that channel, see if this helps and if not send me a message and we will try something else.I had the exact problems so I will take you through each of my steps I did until fixed.

I have an Asus n10 150mbit router that shows connected on my n4 at 65mbit. What router are people using with this phone for the best WiFi speeds?

I can connect to my wifi router fine but the icon is gray instead of blue and i believe this means limited connection. Not really sure what to do next. All my other devices connect to the wifi with no problem at all so it shouldn't be the problem with the router.
It means your not connected to Google

Hi,
For around 3 days I have been coming across an error message "lost connection to server, touch to retry" whenever I want to watch a video on my nexus 7 (WiFi) or for that matter of fact my xperia sola too via the YouTube app. I wonder if I have messed up with some of the settings on my tab and phone too or there is some config issue in my wireless settings of the router. I didn't have this kind of trouble until very recently. I am not too familiar with wireless and networking. Would be great if someone could shed some light. Thanks.

Hello to all Xda Members
Recently i discovered a problem with my Nexus 4 connections: it doesn't connects to Google Servers a.k.a.: Gray Status Symbols
My Nexus 4 can't reach any of the play services (no downloads from Google Play), not with WiFi or Mobile Internet. I tried different ROMs (PA 3.69, SlimROM), stock ROM (4.2.2, 4.3) but anything works, maybe it's something with the Router?
Thanks and Regards

Try using another router (your neighbour's). See if it works.
If its really the routers Problem, what could it be? Someone has got an idea?
