Are you guys using the card comes with s4?
I just swapped mine with the one I was using in my s3.
Is there anything different in the New card?

I dont understand your question... while should somebody get a new sim card when he possesses it already? Its the same micro sim like S3 or iPhone 4/4S and all other devices which use micro sim. Its no NANO SIM like iPhone 5.
Maybe his telco gave him a free sim

I actually had the same concern because mine came with another micro SIM.
As far as I could tell, I think it's the same one that came with the s3

Well, I meant maybe the new card is something to do with the new LTE, but again not sure.
I am still using my s3 sim for now. Will see..

Before you start using your phone, you may need to insert a micro SIM card

Thanks for answers guys, I'm sure T-Mobile will just swap them out
Micro sim is the new standard. I haven't seen a normal sim in forever.
I have a micro sim in my s3 but I'm gonna sell the phone and switch back to the g2 in the mean time. I wanna know can I reactivate my old g2 sim card? Or do I need a new one if so I could possibly keep the micro for the s3 and reactivate it for the Nexus when I get it

Once you activate a new SIM, your old one gets de-activated automatically. Which means that your old SIM is a peace of trash now as it wont be able to activate again.
Gotcha so can I just go to a tmobile store and get a micro sim for free? Or do they charge for it

I can't find a clear answer on this, does the nexus 4 use both a standard sim card, a micro sim card, or does it support both?
Thanks in advance

Nexus 4 is micro SIM.
Thank you. Does every carrier have micro sim cards? Currently I only have a regular sim card and am not sure if Fido has micro sims.
Sent from my SGH-I897 using xda app-developers app
I think they all do, yeah. Just give them a call and they'll be able to let you know
I currently have an LG Optimus one with a normal size sim. When I get the Nexus 4 I plan on cutting the sim to micro sim dimensions then sticking it in my new device. Will it work instantly with my existing plan from my Optimus one?

Mine didn't when I moved to the ONE X
So, I jumped on amazon and bought myself a noosy micro SIM cutter.
Worked a treat

Thanks. I just checked fidos website. They do have micro sims. They even have a dual format (micro sim + regular) so I can use my existing captivate as a backup still.

That's a shame, its fun cutting your own.
You go from scared and worried, to really happy and impressed in a few seconds lol
Its a strange old feeling. Haha

Lol yes. If I had to I would try cutting it, but that would mean I couldn't use my cappy as a backup afterwards. Definitely glad fido has the dual sim card option for that reason.

I'm on O2 UK with a full-size SIM. Do you think I could just ask them to give me a micro-SIM?
SIM
The phone has a micro-sim and if you cant get hold of a micro then the only decision is to cut it yourself. The sim still works equally well!

Or just ask your carrier for a new sim. Cutters are fun but why not get a new doggie

I had an iPhone 4 so I had to cut my Sim card but when I moved to HTC Inspire 4G then I still had the extra pieces so i fitted them in the device. Now when I will get Nexus 4, I can simply use the Micro Sim and keep those pieces to a safe place

I'm on T-Mobile UK and when I asked they said it would cost me £10. I tried to cut my own, but the chip is huge! What I did was ring them up and they were able to credit me the money to my next bill. Give that a try...I'm not saying it will work, but its worth a try.

T-mobile charged you £10? I'm with three, and I just walked into my local store a few months back and they exchanged it for me for free.

Yeah, they call is an "admin fee"...not sure why. All the guy did was get a new SIM, scan it in and then enter in my phone number and details. If I hadn't got my money back I wouldn't have been too happy about it.
AT&T gave me one for free as well..

it will obviously be Micro sim, no latest high end phones use normal sim cards.
all use micro sims or nano sims (eg: iphone 5)..:good:
Normal sim, was just on the phone to o2 and asked the same thing so yeah normal sim
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
normal sim
My network told me it was smaller, hence they're sending me a new one for when the phone arrives.
getting conflict answers.. guess we will have to wait to find out.
Even the various reviewing websites state it's a micro sim.
Micro Sim (i have i9505 and that one is micro sim)
Definitely micro sim. Ignore o2, they are clearly as useless as they were when I was with them years ago.

International GT-I9500 uses Nano. GT-I9505 uses micro
Dunno about you but my older brother uses the international one (GT-I9500) and he bought a Micro-Sim and it fits perfectly.
Take a look here:

I used the same sim from my s3.

Then I read it wrong from somewhere. My bad. Thanks for correcting me guys.
so I'm planning to get it off contract on Verizon, but there's no details of what type of sim the american version has. I'm using a micro now, so if it's a nano sim, I should probably order a sim cutter on eBay before I get the phone... lol anyone know?
and I want to get a case beforehand... but I'm wondering if Verizon's will be different bc those back buttons are diff. any ideas?
Sent from my Nexus 7 FHD using Tapatalk 4
If you don't ever plan to switch back, cut it yourself... There's a pdf out there that has you place the sum on paper and lines to cut to make a nano.
When I pre ordered mine from T-Mobile, I had to get a nano sim kit. So, yeah, I guess nano sim.

ahh ok. I think I'll just order the nano sim cutter kit with adapter on amazon so I'll have it ready for the day I get it

Picked up my Verizon G2 yesterday. I was shocked to find it uses a micro sim. I was unable to use my work nano sim with the phone, so I've ordered a Nano to Micro SIM adapter.

Thanks for confirming...bummed to hear that the Verizon G2 has a Micro SIM vs Nano....now have to mess with an adapter.
I have the Verizon G2, and I use this case http://www.ebay.com/itm/221270868056?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
It works fine for me, and keeps the phone and camera lens protected.

So I'm thinking about snagging an LG G2 but I too am already sporting a nano sim. Was just wondering if you've had any issues using an adapter with the nano sim in the tray? Have you ever had it jam or not eject properly? Thanks!
