The title explains it. I am rooted, with unlocked boot loader, and AOKP flashed. 4g was working fine until two days ago.. Any suggestions?
I'm totally having the same issue... I tried romming it was slimbean, PAC, and cm10.1 and no results..also tried adding vanquish kernel...no luck. Let me know if you figure it out!

Have you tried switching network mode? It doesn't work on the default, it needs to be "LTE /CDMA / EvDo".... For whatever reason, the default (LTE / CDMA I think?) doesn't get 4g. Not sure about the OP's problem... That's an odd behavior

Yeah that makes sense. But too late, I actually used the utility and rsdlite to restore and started from scratch...problem solved. But if it happens again I'll try that!
Thanks sloose!

Recently every couple hours the phone runs at like 2fps. All animations run about that speed but don't freeze. It also causes my soft keys to stop vibrating on touch and accelerometer locks. Any ideas?

What rom are you using?
There is maybe somthing running in the backgroud which does that!
I wondered that but nothing was ever in the runnin list but nothing I stopped helped. If it keeps up I suppose i'll factory reset and then possibly sbf. On cm7. Flashin new nightly over didn't help. We will see.

Im running cm7 nightly now and not having any issues at all. does it happen at any certain time or after you use a certain app or something?
Usually happens after I wake the phone after a couple hours. Seems to have gone though.

I would say if it keeps up maybe try factory reset then if that don't help a sbf might be in order.

I use gosms myself and haven't had any issues like the ones you've been experiencing. Never used friendcaster.
After a whole day it finally happened again! Oh well will flash sbf once we get outta hospital.

What are you overclock settings?
1ghz on demand. Trying fiddling with it while it was acting up to no avail. Not trying to be lazy I just am curious what happened. Going home tomorrow. Will flash. Hope its not hardware.

I can't figure this out and its driving me batty. When my phone is on wifi and the screen is off, it will stop syncing with Google.
I turn my screen on and the wifi signal is grey, then after a moment, it turns blue and I get my Google voice texts, gmail, etc.
Dies anyone have any idea?

well, i gave it a go and ran with it all day. still no incoming gmail or google voice texts when the screen is off
even when the screen is on, the notifications are very delayed. might it be a router setting..? it does only seem to happen at home..

what ROM/kernel are you running? Did you flash a kernel with updated wifi drivers and flash another (kernel) without reinstalling the ROM?
Otherwise, yes...check your router settings.
I'm sorry that changing out to wifi never sleeps, didn't fix your problem.

The stock Droid 3 ROM has a battery saving "feature" in the settings. Do you have that somewhere?

Make sure to read the changelog of the kernel. Some kernels include updated WiFi/Bluetooth drivers and if you switch kernels you must reflash the ROM to revert the drivers.

Is possible to have dual ROM in nexus 7?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
There's an app that provides such functionality, but I can't think of its name.
Boot manager. Haven't tried it lately or even with the n7, but I've had some success with it. Give it a shothttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.drx2.bootmanager

N7 isn't in his list of supported models. Probably a very high risk of something going bonkers. Some braver soul then me can be the guinea pig.
EDIT: I have had great luck with the app on my old G2 though.
Hi,
First time post, I've had a search through the forums but haven't been able to find anything related, hopefully someone knows how to help though.
I turned on my Nexus 4 the other day and the date setting has somehow changed. As you can see in the screenshots, the last 2 numbers are the date and the first number seemingly just goes up by 1 each day. I've tried to change the date settings several times but nothing has changed. Is anyone else having the same problem?
My Lightflow app also stopped working at the same time, it won't open despite uninstalling and reinstalling. I would imagine these are unrelated but you never know.
Thanks in advance for any responses!

More information would be helpful. Are you rooted, have custom ROMs, custom kernel?

Ah, sorry. Nope, not rooted or anything like that. Just on standard Android 4.2.2

Looks like a software bug. Try flashing the stock images again and it should fix this problem. Try using carbon to do a backup first if you want to keep data.

I have the exact same issue - Stock JB 4.2.2 but am rooted. Happened suddenly last week - can't figure out how to revert this.
Any luck so far?
Anyone experience this yet? I've gotten it twice now. I'm completely stock rooted with twrp recovery so I don't understand why it's happened. I thought the dreaded circle was kernel related. Ps. I'm also running xposed framework.

It looks like this minus the bars. What it boils down to is no data no network. absolutely no connection of any kind. It was a big issue on my e4gt for awhile before it was discovered as a kernel related issue then eventually solved.
Or so I thought.

I would say you are in a bad area for signal. Or Network Vision is being worked on in your area, which is a good thing. I've never seen that happen on my phone unless I update the prl and profile. Never saw it on my S3 either.
