I'm sorry, I didn't understand what the issue is. Could you explain it again? Also, which highlight are you talking about?

he means the time he has the screen on its still black bar instead of blue bar

if you will notice my phone's screen is on while phone not awake...from what i understand they should be proportion to each other or in other cases the awake part is much greater than screen on bec of wakelocks

Oh I understand now. Well, its been that way ever since the battery graph came along. Its that way even on my i9000. I think it has to do with the fact that even when the screen is on, the processor is not necessarily processing if you aren't doing anything. Even the CPU frequency goes down to its minimum value, despite your screen being on without any app open or task running. Also, there's a difference between sleep and deep sleep.

Yes something is wrong like mine. I think it's inverted. The screen on is the awake graph and vice versa because it makes no sense to have screen on while the device is not awake lol

Sorry, but that pictures shows nothing what so ever. We can all show a picture like that, but without showing a picture at the same time saying how much screentime is then it's completely pointless to show that picture your showing.

i get at least 5hrs screen on stock. Op what language is that?(ju$t curious lol)
Out of all the smartphones i have owned the S3 has the best battery life...managed to get 7 hrs screen on time with 30% brightness a lot of browsing, listening to music and watching hd videos....i find that i usually have to charge phone once after every 2 days with medium usage...light usage i can go for slightly over 3 days without charging...amazing
I get about 3 hrs with a heavy live wallpaper, 100% brightness and bit of games.. my desire would die after 1 hr.
It does drain allot on standby, about 15% overnight. :|

[Q] Charger got wet

Hello, My original LG wall adapter got wet, i wiped away all the water i could, and let it dry out for day.
After that I plugged my N4 into it, and my battery just jumped from 70% to 100% in a blink. I unplugged it imminently, and phone thought it was still charging for like 10 seconds, and then my battery percentage went back to 70%.
It's been a few days since this event. I'm worrying about whatever damage it might have caused.
Battery life isn't great. i get about 1.5 SOT when I hit 40%. standby time are as the used to be, but when using the phone the battery seems to drain more. (WIFI OFF WHEN NOT AT HOME ,ALL GOOGLE LOCATION SERVICES DISABLED, ON 3G 24/7)
Is there any real test to see if there is really any damage ?
I hope I'm just imagining. Maybe the charger didn't went bad at all? after all is it a known bug when nexus jumps to 100%.
The wet adapter charged my Other galaxy S2 just fine..
Here is some ridiculous screen.barely 10 minutes screen on an a short phone call and its already down 5%
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4w595gkqV6AZDA5d3FaQ2dvVzQ/edit?usp=sharing

5% down, in 1 hr and 15 minutes, with 10~ minutes of screen on time, and some phone calls is not really that bad imho.
You should probably get a new charger, seems like something is messed up within the charger, due to being exposed to water.
Is there any way to determine if the phone itself received damage ? I's there any chance at all ?
Only the plastic of the charger was exposed to water ..
anyway I'm using apple Iphone adapter since then.
I think the best way to tell if it received any damage is to just use it normally.
Charge it normally, through the iphone adapter for now, and see if the problem re-occurs.
I do notice battery drains quicker , My friend's nexus, which was from an older batch, drained 2% after 10 mins in google chrome, auto brightness.
mine drains 8% , same brightness, no application running in background. betterbatterystats shows nothing unusual.
Is this normal? Totally Moderate use.

no, you have bad media file (music, video or picture) on your SD card.
Guys, let me ask you a question.
Which one would you chose, considering battery life? (battery, a very important thing for me).
GT-9500 or GT-9505?
That is not a question! Get the octa core! the 9500!
Ok, i am waiting for opinions.
I am more likely to buy the octa core version but, from the feedback i've read on the forum it overheats a lot, and the battery is not so great.

Settings --> Accounts --> Backup&Reset --> Factory reset
No, it won't remove any of the bloatware, but our forum members have said that it will help with battery life and overheating problems.
The bloatware can be removed only by rooting the phone.

Except for mediaserver your numbers are normal and you should expect screen to take that percentage or even somewhat more. In the 40 percent range is quite typical and expected. The one poster was correct, find out what is keeping mediaserver lit up.

I am not sure why you crossed out the FCC ID stuff and not the IMEI, but your battery is normal. The 1300 you see is the max power draw of the device. It is not rated in mAh as it is not a storage device.
Your battery is fine. That is the 2600mAh one that we all have as stock.
You never gave any details on what your battery life issues are, your usage patterns or any other details. But your battery and phone look normal.

Oh sorry I was in a hurry and crossed out the wrong things. Also my usage patterns are less than average and I believe there is something wake locking the device or something because the battery dies even when the screen isn't on. But I am losing about 3% a minute and about 2% without the screen even being on. And all I'm doing is browsing the web.

[Q] KitKat battery usage way up

I have read where the KitKat upgrade for the G2 is supposed to add speed and increase battery life even further. For me however it seems its the opposite. I have had way worse battery life since installing (pc lg tool) the KitKat update. I was going all day with anywhere from 40 - 30% left when it was finally plugged in for the night, now I am lucky if I make it to the end of the night. At first I thought perhaps it was just in need of a reboot, but I have done that several times since installation and battery times are still worse. What I don't understand is the battery meter says "System" is to blame for 53% cpu time. Before screen time was my number one battery drain, now its just from being on?.... I don't get it.. Anyone else having this issue, or can shed some light?

That's just it, i haven't done anything different. It can't be an app because i haven't installed anything since the upgrade. What bothers me is it seems to be a system process that's causing it.

Pocket Mode
Not sure if it is something generic across KitKat or if it is specific to my ROM but pocket mode was killing my battery since it was constantly powering my proximity sensors looking for light to unlock the screen.

I provided the path above, like I said though not sure if it is specific to the ROM i'm on(PA 4.4.2) or not. It the only real exposure to kitkat that I've had. If it isn't a default kitkat thing i apologize if I got your hopes up. I will say this though, if it is don't get your hopes up. It's rather annoying and a massive battery drain. With it on my phone acted like it had half the battery it does.
I don't have location settings turned on, so google now shows unavailable for location, also I don't have security turned on, so I have no security lock screen notification settings that I could find... I'm assuming this is only on if you are using pin, or pattern lock. Thanks for the suggestions tho... I'm going to keep monitoring it and see how it goes. So far today it seems to have normalized, Android System is only showing 2%, which is more like it.
I'm on Official LG Stock KK and to be truthful the battery life has been pretty bad. Like not really comparable to 4.2.2 and definitely not comparable to vanilla Android(of course). What's the issue? Anyone know?

Had a similar issue. Let It settle for a day or so. If no improvement, that's a pain but go through a factory reset. That should fix it. Did you have a specific setup like root/custom rom before?
