Hi All,
I was wondering if there was anyone else out there that uses NEXT LAUNCHER 3D on their S4
I have been using it for a long time on my S2 and it worked fine, however, when i switched over to the S4 it seems as though all of the widgets on the screen are frozen.
I have done a full Next Launcher Data wipe (to see if that would fix the issue, however, no luck)
Below is a link to 2 screenshots i took from within the S4:

You will notice that the time in the top right of the S4 device has changed to 8.34am however the widget is stuck at 8.04am (the time when i restarted the phone) also the widgets that control the buttons do not change to unhighlighted when pressed or pressed. Also the second screenshot, you can see the widgets are still loading, and the same issue with the time. This is taken up to 20+ minutes after the phone has loaded.
Anyone else with this issue? or know how to fix it?
Cheers
Hi,
I have same problem on my S4. Also switched from S2 where it was working correctly. When I restart the Next Launcher it is working for a few minutes and then all active widget get frozen.
Already sent an email to developers of Next launcher. But so far no response or an update.

I have a stock MT4G and have expanded to 7 screens. The first 4 screens have been fine, but widgets installed on the other screens seem to disappear at random. The widgets in question are not installed on the SD (common cause found via search). They are still installed - but I have to re-add them to the screen which is annoying.
Anyone else having these issues and any solutions? One of the widgets is WinAmp.
When I first bought my device I had to send it back due to a faulty power button. The next one they sent me had the same issue. Are you getting a force close error for "com.htc.bg" at all?
The issues I had started with the widgets disappearing from the home screens. It progressed into all apps and widgets would disappear or get rearranged by themselves. I then started getting that error I mentioned above every ten minutes on the phones display. After 2 day of searching for answers and factory rebooting multiple times I gave up and just called in for an exchange again. T-mobile did replace this one as well.
I tried to recreate the problem you speak of but the only time I found it to happen was when I would unplug it from charging both in the car and attached to a wall charger. IMO get a new one.
I don't get that error....at least not yet. I think it happens when I change modes. Not 100% sure - will have to do some tests. Thanks for the feedback.
Hi!
I just had a very weird bug. Suddenly when I pressed the home button the stock clock app (which I think is useless by the way) opened. When I pressed again the phone didn't switch to my home screen but stayed in the clock app.
When I tried to put the phone in standby and wake it up again my lock screen didn't show up, it was the stupid clock again.
I rebooted my phone and now everything is like it should be...
I'm running 2.3.4 (not rooted) with Launcher Pro.
Anyone else familiar with this problem?
I believe that you can set home button behavior in Launcher Pro. Not sure about the lock screen though.
I've had the same issue, always resolves itself though, especially after a reboot. Odd bug but doesn't occur enough to bother me.
But I agree the clock app seems largely useless, I have no wish to leave my phone screen on all night, and I can access alarm clock, gallery etc fine without.
I had this issue in January when I first got the phone, I guess on 2.3.1 or so. Anyways, the buttons did random things, and launching App A would result in App C launching instead, if you get what I mean. For example, I'd try to open Dolphin browser and Youtube would come up instead. I'm not sure why this occurred, and a simple restart fixed it. I wouldn't worry too much unless it keeps happening.
I only had it happen to me the one time.
I'm also experiencing this on my Nexus S, First the Car/Dock Mode appeared out of nowhere. It literally just launched itself while I was working at my desk! Now the home button pen up the clock App. Windows can't even detect the Nexus S now. No "you phone is plugged, mount it?" dialog box.
help!

Okay so I think I may have found a solution. I set my Nexus S beside my iPad 2 last night before going bed. I think it may have been the caused of magnets. yup. magnets. So I tried contacting both together. The iPad 2 reacted and lit up its screen and voila the Nexus S home button now works as a HOME and not a CLOCK button! I know its a little weird, may just be a coincidence for all I know! But mine works fine now.
Try it and let us know if this works for you!
Let me resurrect a dead thread here with a new solution. I began building my roms from source on the NS4G and immediately this bug appeared in them. Funny thing is only on my phone none of the testers had this issue. I decided to overwrite desk clock with desk clock pro on the market for free, and it knocked out the bug, and I still have my alarms for work.
Not sure if this is a problem with the phone or some settings i'm missing. I bought the phone 2 weeks ago so i think there is still time to get a replacement but i was wondering if anyone has seen this problem before.
The stock weather widget that is on the home screen by default does not refresh the weather sometimes. If you manually click on the refresh sign from the home screen, it shows it trying to refresh but nothing changes. Same happens if you open the app and refresh from there.
I have data turned on, sync, gps, etc. Nothing i can see that would be stopping it.
The problem is fixed if i reboot the phone. If the phone has been up for about 6-7 hours it still does the refresh just fine. If its been up for 30+ hours the problem above starts happening.
I have another S4 as well, have not been able to catch if the same thing happens with it, but a side by side comparison of "status" and all the apps running is identical and where my phone fails to update the weather (up time over 30 hours) this other one works just fine (up time 5 hours).
The only difference between the 2 is that my phone is rooted.
Happened with my s2. Not my s4
I think i was able to narrow it down and i'm starting to think there is nothing wrong here.
Clearing cache/data on the app also brings it back so no need to re-start. But the failed refresh seems to happen when i'm not able to get a GPS signal. (would be nice if it actually dont you this with an error pop up or something) Still need to try it a few more times but im 95% certain its timing out if it cant lock on GPS. It only seems to happen inside.
The other phone was working even without GPS turned on, which i thought was odd.I later found that it was not displaying current city, but instead was just configured to display the city i happened to be in.
After a while the top part of my screen will completely stop responding to touch. I can't pull down the notification area or press anything on the upper portion of the phone. After, I reboot it works for about 30 seconds and then the top part of the screen will stop working again. The only thing that will fix it is to wait it out. Maybe a few hours later it will start working again. Then a couple days later and the same thing happens. I think maybe my phone is overheating from some app or something and then it causes this to happen for some reason. That would I guess explain why it starts working after while, because the phone had a chance to cool off
Anybody else experience this?
Yes your not alone with this issue.
This happened to my galaxy S8 plus after using twitter.
I uninstalled the app but I hadn't regained the ability of touch response.
I don't have a backup device but have ordered an older model so that I can further diagnose.
In the meantime I found an app to help counteract the problem. ie. Rotation - Orientation Manager
To be clear this is the top portion of the screen from Very top to about a half inch down.
I verified by using a touch sensor test app. ie. Yet Another MultiTouch Test
I've also did the soft reset, clear cache, and since I use a third party Home Launcher reinstalled it. ie. Nova Launcher Prime
Good luck!
Hey guys. I bought my LG V20 for T-mobile about a month and a half ago. At first, I wasn't completely disappointing with the phone as it was really laggy and when I clicked home, the icons would disappear and reaper after a few seconds. Everything seemed to lag (Opening and closing apps, and random freezes that would last a few seconds). I found a thread with instructions and lowered several animation settings, but that didn't make much of a difference. I then changed the launcher to home & app drawer to make it similar to my old Note 4. That only made things worse.
I then finally tried downloading a few other launchers before settling on the Nova Launcher. After finding several a few widgets I liked, I pretty much have the phone just how I want it. Right now, the only issue (more of an annoyance) I have is that every time I unlock my phone, it goes back to the last used app, even when I locked my phone from the home screen. I can't find any setting for this in the phone settings or Nova settings. I also can't seem to find any other threads that mention this same issue. Has anyone else experienced this?
