[Q] LG P700 Cyanogenmod No sim - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all. Today I flashed my p700 to Cyanogenmod 10, and it's shows no IMEI, no network, no sim... I don't know what I need to do now... How I need to fix it? Maybe u have some ideas. (sorry for my very very bad English.)

Hi. Network not work because baseband is bloked. You must install baseband.zip , copy this file to card SD and install in recovery.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ehtgcl1q45p34zh/v10Baseband.zip
https://www.dropbox.com/s/da3iq7iegulvk0t/v20Baseband.zip
Try first or second file.

hi, sorry for my bad english, also this happened to me, i update my p708 to jelly bean (v20a) and i do a hard reset but at the moment i turned on, my l7 ran out signal and say this to find networks "error finding networks" and if i try do any call say "not yet registered on the network".
Any idea?...

lg p700 on cyanogenmod no sim card and mobile network

You just need to flash the v10 Baseband, You might have installed original JB that is v20 BB. just Flash the v10bb and will be ok...

Thanks for reposting the file, but now i see its exactly the same file i got from someone else. I already lashed that file, but it didnt do anything. My guess now is that the simlock i got unlocked at a phoneshop somehow relocked... because when i restored the rooted v10k rom it didn't recognise my SIM anymore too.
Edit: the rooted v10k did recognize my SIM after restore, after i placed the sim in the correct way Phoneshop tried to unlock the Phone on CM 10, but they couldn't do it. I guess its a bug. CM is after all in the nightly stage.
Edit2: i flashed CM10 again, along with gapps and baseband-zip, and finally it worked! Just keep trying....

[Q] Which baseband for LG Optimus L7 (P705)?

Hi Everyone,
I would like to flash a V20 baseband on my Australian P705 as I'd like to upgrade soon to one of the custom JB 4.3.
I am currently on Slimbean 4.1.2 with baseband V10e.
I don't want to brick my phone or have any issue with it by flashing the wrong baseband on it so could someone please advise which V20 baseband would be the one to use on my phone from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335273
Also, I was wondering if I flash a V20 baseband, could I go back to V10 if needed?
Thank you for your help!
And sorry, I would have posted the question on the thread above but I am a new member and restricted in the thread I can post in!
Anyone would have an idea? I just really don't want to use all signal!
Thanks!
I risked myself to install V20e baseband.
I had signal from my phone provider but in "About Phone", in the Baseband line I had "RRO" so not sure why or what it means.
I also installed Slimbean 4.3 which didn't seem really stable and I lost root privileges in the process and couldn't find a way to root a LG L7 using JB 4.3 so I went back on baseband V10 and Slimbean 4.1.2 until we get a more stable JB 4.3.
I'll keep you up to date if I find a working solution.

Yeah I knew that, it's just between JB 4.1 and JB 4.3, we need to upgrade the baseband from V10 to V20 and there are plenty of V10 versions and plenty of V20 versions with different letters (e.g. V20a, V20e,...) and I wasn't sure whether I could use any of them without any trouble or not.
I tried V20e temporarily on JB 4.3, I could still get signal from my phone provider but the baseband didn't seem to be properly recognized in "About Phone".

Hey mate, any luck with this? I'm in the same boat as you, except I haven't tried any of the various v20's yet... I'm on v10e also, so logic says I should upgrade to v20e - but there even two of these - one says "PL" and the other for "GBR"... I'm with Vodafone AU and have no idea... I don't want to brick and am a little worried :/

Hey mate,
I think I upgraded for V20a but I can't remember. Baseband is just showing RRO in About Phone but it's working with Optus in Australia and overseas.
I remember I had to upgrade the Baseband first before upgrading Android otherwise it didn't work!
I am also using Slimbean 4.3 Beta 5.2.
It's working OK.
To be honest, don't bother, it's not worth it playing with custom ROMs!
At least not for the L7!
Battery life is even worse than out of the box (even with Greenify), features from newer versions of Android don't work because this phone is not compatible with them (I'm thinking of Photosphere which was the main reason I wanted to upgrade)
In my opinion it's just a waste of time! I'll try a custom ROM of KitKat when stable but if it just keeps getting worse on my L7, I'm just gonna go back to stock!

Thanks. I ended up trying the v20e (both of them) with Prime KitKat rom. I installed all this before I read your reply and all is good - except for the network reception. I'll go back and try the v20a now. This phone isn't my daily driver, just a mess about so I'm keen to try KitKat out on it while I wait for OTA on my Note 3. So far, other than the current mobile data issue, this Prime 4.4.2 rom seems pretty good Thanks again

[Q] [L5] CM 10 4.3 Touchscreen Issues

So, here I am trying to upgrade my phone to 4.3 and I installed Slimbean, CM 10.2 (or something along those lines) and AvatarROM and every single ROM based on CM (or maybe 4.3 in general) has an issue related to the touchscreen. The touch is basically not working. I've tried a lot of KDZs and none of them seems to do the trick. I've tried Slimbean and the touch isn't working, only the physical keys. I've noticed that if I flash to v10 baseband, I can get the touch to work, but it seems that I cannot use my SIM card. I saw that a lonely few other users cannot get this to work, but this is a problem with the ROM or version in general, it is very common.
So guys, can anyone help me? I've seem to have gotten this modding thing down in general, but this is the first time I'm having issues. I am prepared to give all the nececery data in order for this to be fixed, but that is all I know for now.
TL;DR Newest 4.3 CyanogenMod based ROMs touch not working with v20 baseband, only with v10 baseband. On the other hand with v10 baseband, the SIM isn't working and I don't want to use my phone as a tablet.
Thanks in advance, guys.
EDIT: THE ANSWER IS THAT V10/V20 baseband thing! I can feel it!
Do you flash it with a SIM in it? And with a microSD inserted too?
And first startup with thosse too
yes, indeed I did.
EDIT: One more question that I need answered. Do I need v10 or v20 in order for me to have Slimbean or CM 10.2?

You need v20
Do a boot without flashing gapps... Test and then flash gapps ....
Also did you try lock phone and unlock to test touch?
Sent from my LG-E610 using Tapatalk
I did try without gapps and it didn't help. The touch is still not working. Only the physical buttons are working (volume+, -, power and home). I tried a bunch of different solutions, but none of them seems to work. I have V20 on my phone (updated with the KDZ tool).
After I install the rom, I install v20 baseband and I get the SIM thing to enter the PIN but the touch ain't working. If I flash the V10 baseband after the ROM installation I get the touch working, but I can't use my SIM card and I don't want to use my phone as a tablet.

No SIM Problem i9505

Hello I have a s4 i9505 phone and my problem is that sometimes (most of the times) doesn't seem to recognize the sim (it is inside) . Last night i installed the goldfinger ROM and it went good, i had no signal but the people could call me. This morning i tried to get rid of the signal problem too but i flashed the XXUGNE5 modem and now i don't have sim at all . My carrier is Vodafone , Spain. I tried everything , since this problem persist like a month ago when i changed my screen because it crashed. I changed too the hardware, the sim reader but no solution at all so my thoughts are that this is a software problem . Sorry 4 my bad English and thanks in advance for your help.
Edit: Sometimes i have no signal but the phone works , but after a certain time it says Sim card extracted , restart...
1. Do a full wipe in your custom recovery
2. Flash the latest stock rom.
3. If the problem is still there then it's a hardware problem.
