Hi. how to start the WiFi direct? I want to transfer one file from one Sgs4 to my sgs4 via WiFi direct. But while sharing and starting to scan for available devices it cannot find my phone because I do not know how to switch on WiFi direct to b on standby for receiving files...
thanks

If both have nfc switched on, then you can just tap them together to initiate s-beam (basically wifi direct initiated by nfc)

Hi there,
Is there a known way to get WhatsApp working on the nexus 10?
The normal app store version refuses to install because the device is a tablet.
I've found some outdated information claiming that it still should be possible to install it on rooted devices but I wonder if someone actually has it working on the n10.

Not on just data. It's very slow even on a Wi-Fi. I tried with my other devices and they were running like a beast in a website. My my nexus 4 is so slow in any connection. Any help ?

Mind sharing your details? On stock ROM ? Do you have a custom kernel? I hear flashing different radios can help too. It may be the kernel if you are on a custom one. Maybe you're a bit too under clocked / under volted? It could be numerous things.
Welcome to the club. Try flashing a different radio to see if it helps.
I'm on latest radio. It's something like 1700.48. Which baseband should I flash ?

Give .27 a shot I'm using it and it works great. Regardless if it doesn't work I'd tinker with various kernels. Hope it helps.
I had the problem with slow data, delayed MMS and used an alternate APN setting.
My WiFi has always been strong though but I've noticed in the settings in trickster (I think) that some custom kernels allow battery life in favor of battery draining hardware like the radios.
Personally I've tried and tested heaps of ROMs and kernels and the ROM that suits my needs is the de-odexed stock 4.2.2
As for your problem, try typing your symptom into the search bar at the forum.
You never know it could be a known LG problem or a problem with 4.2.2 itself across the line (gnex) , you may have set an asp up for sync (eg.drop box) that is constantly syncing folders.
Anyway, XDA and it's users have been an amazing source of knowledge for me and helped me out a lot.

Actually there is no problem with WiFi. I made a test near of my modem. And WiFi speed was super awesome. Now I just need to fix my data speed
Should I call my operator's support?

In Australia I just typed "Telstra APN settings" into Google and got what I was after.
Also look for Tweakker APN INTERNET MMS in the play store.

Still no chance. I'll try the stock ROM

Try the .27 radio. To some there's claims of increased data speeds. I do notice a variable difference from .48
It should be a joke. Changed the radio but still same speed...

Tweak the kernel clock speed some. Also a few build prop tweaks may or may not work.
Where can I do that? But the ridiculous part of it, my data speed was awesome 1 week before.

I'm going to call my operator's support to see what's happening.

I did not understand if you tried stock rom.
Hey, can i get the galaxy s4 / galaxy s3 status bar to my nexus 4?
i really want it (i love the toggles line in it )
i also trying to get the galaxy s4 / galaxy s3 lockscreen to my nexus 4 but i haven't found it yet..
Thanks For Help!
For toggles.. Download POWER TOGGLES from play store

That's not the same.
Samsung toggles are way better IMO + they can be sorted and the best of all, you can change screen brightness with the slider.
Power toggles is not capable of this.

Try slimbean rom. This rom has brightness slider and you can sort every toggle.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not into Roms and flashing anymore since I got my nexus.
I think Google should implement those things into android by default.

Not gonna happen. Those toggles are part of Samsungs Closed source propritary Android Distro. As for not flashing roms because you have a nexus. Not sure how you figure that. Even the new 4.3 OTA is already out dated.
So there is no way to get this things on my nexus? Its have to be a way to do that somehow no?

Yes there is, learn how to build android and port the feature from the galaxy s4.
And you have a nexus dude! You need to flash flash flash to try out what all the great devs are doing around here. Else get an s4 and be quiet.

No there is not. You can try custom roms or build a rom from source and try to add the elements you want (a buddy did the sliders awhile ago) but for the samsung one. No as there is no source code to use and it needs to re-write a bunch of system files from the ground up.
I dont see all big hypevfrom galaxy s 4 i traded mine for nexus 4 and im loving it way more cuatomizable

Hi mates, is there any way to connect two Samsung devices via cable for file transfer ? Using 2 OTG cables for instance and a 'something'?
Sent from my GT-N8010 using Tapatalk 2
Well why do you want to use cable instead of wireless connection. Wifi n stuff isn't that slow I guess. Tho I'm not sure I doubt there's a way to do so since it would require drivers n stuff. But as said I really don't know for sure.
Gesendet von meinem SM-N9005 mit Tapatalk
Just curious mate.
Would be a useful option being able to copy a whole folder from one device to the other using a cable.

Well there are wifi tools allowing allowing the task.

Hello, pls help to vote the rSAP Support problem on Jira.
Here is the link
https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/BACON-940
This profile allows devices such as car phones with built-in*GSM transceivers to connect to a*SIM Card*in a Bluetooth enabled phone, thus the car phone itself doesn't require a separate SIM card (wiki)

The app is not working, because there is no rsap support in Oneplus one...
