Wizard and video

Hi guys'n'gals
I'm seriously considering upgrading my pensionable P900 to either a Magician or a Wizard device. I'm currently thinking Wizard for the persistent storage and built-in wifi, but I really want to be able to play good-quality videos using betaplayer/TCPMP. Has anyone tried this on the Wizard, and is the performance reasonable compared with the JAM?
Cheers
Z
video isnt that great
i have used video with the imate ii, imate jam, and the wizard
and just by comparing them the worst video in quality is the wizard,
the capture speed is also slightly slower on the wizard maybe because of the speed of the device being slower, so u sometimes get the occasional freeze while taking video
I think he means playing a movie or video file on the Wizard, not recording one with the camera...
I've been watching episodes of Scrubs on my K-JAM for the last couple of days, and I'm suitably imoressed. First, TCPMP works, rather than crashing or hogging memory. Secondly, the frame rate is impressive for such a small device. It is slightly slower than my iPaq 4150, but not enough to really notice. The sound quality is also very good.
guys, can you STREAM videos from your computer HD/router to the WIZARD without saccades ?
or are you talking about SD stored movies only ?
thanks

Best Sega Genesis Emu ?

Picodrive is fast but no sound, Pocketgenesis doesnt work (black screen only), Morphgear with sound is extreme slow. Any alternatives ? Picodrive on UIQ works on my Moto A925 nearly flawless with sound (and the CPU is only about 200 Mhz !).

Hermes has lost to Nokia E90 Communicator

With great saddness in my heart i announce that my hermes which runs Black satin lite, has lost to Nokia E90 communicator. atleast when it comes to playing video smoothly. we both downloaded same clip from Pixar - format Mpeg (Mp4), duration - 02.29.191, size -24516 kb, codec Core ASP, video size 800/352, name of clip - Ratatouille, nokia played this clip very very very smoothly, hermes coudnt play more then 15 sec with out a pause. meanwhile nokia with it brilliant clearity, outshined it completely.i used core media player latest version. i am shocked.

Slingbox Mobile TV opinions/sugestions

This is the first time posting so bare with me. I have Slingbox Pro at home and since I purchased my new HTC Sprint Touch Diamond I have been trying Slingbox Mobile. I am still tweaking settings and testing but currently I find video streaming a bit slow but audio OK! Have not tried WI FI yet. Has anyone else been using Slingbox Mobile? Would like to know your tweaks, settings etc... on improving video quality.
Thanks
Sprint HTC Touch Diamond DIAM 500
ROM - 1.09.651.5
Radio -1.00.00F
OS - Windows Mobile 6.1
I have been using it for a while, though I am not sure I have figured out the optimum settings, it is working pretty well over wifi but a little jumpy in fullscreen.
These are my settings:
Player: Buffer setings-manual
Optimization:Enable slingstream optimizer
Enable fast start
Encoding:Enable sling stream optimization X
Video Bitrate 250
Video FPS 20
I-Frame interval 5
Video rseolution 320x240
Audio: Stereo low
advanced: no alert
no stats
reconnect
X=exit
no audio video offset
Use GDI Rendering
On the whole I am pretty pleased with it, but mainly because it turns my laptop into a TV, the mobile software does leave a lot to be desired, especially since they make you pay on top for the mobile software, that is taking the piss on an already expensive piece of kit.
Thanks for the reply post... I have been using Slingbox Pro and my son also who is in Germany has been using it and we both agree that the video and audio quality is great. I have SprintTV as well as DiamondTV which are OK but nothing like having my own DishNetwork TV programs. I am thinking of purchasing the Slingbox Mobile software. It's only $29.99... What's a few more $$$$ anyway. LOL! Again thanks....
I use Slingbox Mobile too. I paid for it because to it's worth a one-time fee of 30 bucks to be able to stream my tv to my phone with full control. I'm aware of Orb as a free alternative but it's way too bulky and resource intensive. Slingbox definitely beats it.
I have not touched any settings at all in Slingbox Mobile. Everything is default. I stream over 3G data and I think the picture looks great and the sound is great. I hope they update the Mobile app soon to have some of the functionality that the latest Desktop version has (DVR buffer, and Guide data). Overall, it's my favorite app on my Diamond.
I also am very happy with my Slingbox (Pro in my case) with my Tilt. I use it with the my recently acquired Motorola S9/S9-HD bluetooth headset and I have to say it GREAT. Highly recommend the wireless headset to go with you slingbox. The older S9's can be found on ebay for under $40, just watch out for knock offs from China.
I've been using the Slingbox Mobile software too and I've found the picture and audio to be fine most of the time. The only problem I have is that my upload speed via my broadband is terrible (thanks BT) so it sometimes struggles. When I use it at home it's fine though.

TF810c [Atom Z2760] problem with HD streaming

Hi,
is it Atom SoC in this device that is not strong enough or is it something else?
How is it on your tablets?
HBO Go is struggling to play at all times. Not the buffering (I got 20mbps broadband) but it skips frames
Netflix, BBC iPlayer, Yout Tube (1080p) - works awesome...
Do you think there is anything I can do with this?
