Im running Sentinel 3.40 on my nexus 4
the thing is that randomly playstore closes unexpected, is this normal?
i think it has something to do with the play music app.
is there any known problem to do with the normal apps?
btw when i open playstore and try to go on the settings, it closes unexpectly
"Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped."
No, it's not normal. Try wiping Google Services Framework's data, then reboot.
Or try reflashing the ROM and GAPPS. Works most of the time. Be sure to wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache.

I'm getting the error "Unfortunately, the process android.process.a core has stopped." about every 8-20 seconds. The only thing that stops it is deleting my Google account under settings>accounts.
Earlier, I had OAPK4 and backed up my apps and settings with Titanium. I then installed Smoothrom3.1 and cleared cache partition and Dalvik after flashing. I then restored my apps and settings. Everything was fine for a couple hours and then the problem started out of the blue. Like I said, delete my Google acct and it goes away. Sign back in and it immediately comes back
AFAIK, that process is for home launcher mate, try installing other launcher, nova or apex is recommended BTW, hehehe.

You must not switch between different ROMs without wiping because it may lead to unexpected behaviour, but even restoring ROM internal settings from a different ROM may cause force closes. Wipe everything, log in again and your force closes should no longer appear.

Fixed. I started clearing caches on Google related stuff and it finally stopped when I did a Clear Data on Contacts Storage and that seems to have fixed it. Been good for over an hour now. Fingers are crossed.
After a failed rom flashing I restored my phone through CWM recovery and now Google Play is not working. A "Unfortunately com.android.vending has stopped" message pops up and the app crashes.
Any solutions?
I tried:
Reinstalling google play store
Deleting application cache
Deleting phone cache
Installing an outdated version of google play

Tried it already. Doesn't seem to work. I'm frustrated...
try looking up for "google play services".
i had similar issues with all ICS based ROMs, including DJuga's recompiled MIUI. It was after installing this and uninstalling and installing every single goddamned Google apps and apks only did the problem seemed to subside (except where Google play has to send sms where i disabled it and it crashes)
Did you try to install Gapps?
I'd say you wipe everything and install custom rom again.
crashed
google play apk is updated and apk changed and youtube service
may it needs 15 minutes after crash to update g.play and restart
After upgrading my Nexus 7 to Android 4.3 I keep getting "Unfortunately, Google Play Books has stopped" error all the time.
I have tried clearing the app's data and cache - but cache seems stuck at 12k.
Tried deleting data/cache for Google Play as well and also de-registering my Google account. Problem persists....
Any help greatly appreciated!

Try to flash 4.3 system.img again.
I tried installing Blackout Play Store which is a themed app. I backed up Play Store uninstalled it and flashed the Blackout one. It worked for a while then started crashing every time I tried to download anything. (mind you I also installed Blackout hangouts, calendar, gmail, dropbox and all work fine only the Play Store crapped out) I then uninstalled and restored from backup but now it keeps crashing all the time. I cannot even open it without getting "Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped working." and I get that sometimes even if I'm not using/opening it. I tried disabling, reinstalling, reflashing, disabling/enabling, clearing data/cache of both store and services and also updating.
I would like not to reflash my ROM so is there a way of fixing it without having to do that?

Dirty install your rom. It shall fix everything relating to play store.
Then you can flash your blackout themed apps.

Anyone having issues with updates in Google play store? It shows the data is downloaded but does not install. I have cleared app cache and phone cache. If I let it run for awhile it eventually downloads and installs. Any ideas?

I had this happen too. Though I never got a solid resolution other than a reboot.
Sometimes closing Play Store from Recents after it finishes the download part and opening it again will activate the install. If simply closing from Recents doesn't work, force stop Play Store and open it again. That will most likely start the install.
