HD2 becomes EXTREMELLY sluggish after removing Android - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hi All,
Today just now I have flashed my phone with TMOUS HD2 with RUU 2.13 on earlier installed Android.
Android was installed as NAND.
After this RUUing, the phone has become extremely sluggish and hands every now and then.
I feel that it seems to be synchronizing with something. (The strange part, I dint any of my logins to connect).
Could anyone please guide how to get rid of this and make my phone smooth.
Later I plan to install Win 7.8 on HD2

Really?? Well you should see in which section your posting before you post something and spam the section.
This is a development section dude, not a Q&A or troubleshooting section.
Reported.

i think you have used zram..in android build you used............
zram reduces the life of ram......................
you try ram cleaner once in winmo6.5..................some android cache memory may be there in ram so only............clean the ram using any cab..in winmo6.5

No not at this stage. I can recommend Miri's ROMs for android compatibility but havn't tried many others but there is currently no way to run Android on our HD2s without first booting into WM.
There are also a few ROM builds (see the HD2 android development thread) that have a lot cut out of them for faster operation/boot and there's also the option of using one of the developed Android loaders (boots WM then Android for you).
Not possible right now. The devs are working on a NAND version which will make it possible, but it's not available yet.
Highly recommend Energy's Titanium rom, its very lightweight and is perfect if you reboot your phone and want to get back to android fast.
I use ChuckyDroidROM as Winmo build (very low on all recourses), and put shubCRAFT 1.5 or mattc Froyo 1.7 on top of it.
Using the little boot app in the ROM it runs great now
Almost dont notice its a layer
Its cool to have 2 OS on 1 phone, why not?
Question seems to be answered. Thread closed.

[Q] Simple Android Question

I installed Froyo 2.2 by darkstone recently and everything is working well except one issue. After I installed the software, if i reset or turn off my phone I go back to winmo6.5.. How do i keep android up and running?
It would probably help if you told us what device you are talking about.
wesideballer96, there's a Q&A section you'd better post this kind of questions in. Expect to see your posts closed or moved often if you keep going like this.
And if you don't search the forum before posting, expect to be bashed or banned.
Anyway, did you try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623792
for most wm6.x devices it is not possible to use android as primary os. you probably installed it on memory card. but in the ROM you still have wm6.x.
im using htc hd2 and have costom wm6.5.3 rom in the phone and a nice clean froyo port from desire on my memory card.
when iturn the phonw on it goes in wm6.5.3 but i have instalede dualboot app that emediatly pops up and sks me if i want to use wm6.5.3 of android 2.2 (froyo).
but remembEr. firSt it goes to wm, asks me for pin number, then i only have 2 buttons on the screen BOOT ANDROID, BOOT WINDOWS MOBILE (wm is already ready to use you just dont see it).
dualboot app is basicli a nice shell over the wm desktop that helpsyou to run haret.exe by simply pressing a BOOT ANDROID button.
search on this forum for a dualboot app for yourt model.
sory for bad english.

[Q] New HTC HD2 from T-Mobile user

Hi guys, I am new to this and I have been reading around, right now I am using -=MDJ FroYo HD v.4.6=-[FRG83D][kernel:MDJ S8.0] from SD but last days it has been so unstable , just today I rebooted like 8 times and my phone is still crashing after a couple of mins when android is loaded. So I am planning to format my sd and reinstall again.
Right now I have all backed up with Titanium app, so here is my question:
Since I am no expert (and non english speaker btw) do you recommend me to install again the same android build? or maybe install another one?
Thing is I have been reading that NAND builds (Android/WP7) are kinda unstable right now, so I am kinda afraid to move from SD to NAND, I am not really interested in WM 6.5 but I don't wanna harm my device.
So, any tips out there? Please include links, I appreciate it. Thanks

"Tytung's" builds, in my opinion, are the best; whether its and SD/NAND/GINGERBREAD Build. Check my thread link in my signature for info on all three.
i can recommend the new hyperdroid nand.
Another vote for tytung's build. I have nand nexus froyo 1.9b installed on my phone, only had once the phone didn't respond after stand-by. Also the charging bug because of magldr (but that's with every nand rom). It's my daily build and I love it.
Ok I think I will give the NexusHD2 build a try...
It is so confusing because I am a starter... but I will keep reading.
Thanks

Which OS to use?

Hey. I have some questions..
Im new in all of this an so pls forgive me if i ask something stupid
// I have an HD2 with 512MB Flash Memory / 576MB RAM
Im looking for an Android OS which runs stable, with good performance and if possible enough apps .. the battery life is not interesting for me.
So i hope, theres something out that fits my wishes
it would be nice if you could also link me the thread (or a video) where is exactly explained how to install the new os ( and of course a link where i can download the rom, if its not in the thread where it is explained how )
thank you
Here's a guide to installing Android on your HD2...

Other than that, just take your time and have a look through the NAND ROM section. Just open some that sound interesting to you from the titles and read the 1st post to see if it's what you want (Froyo or Gingerbread? Sense or no Sense?).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=928
I've not seen a ROM thread yet where the dev doesn't list what's working and what's not working, so you should be able to weigh it up yourself.
I only suggest you do this because there's no way I can tell you a good ROM. It's all subjective, and you're better knowing what options you have anyway, rather than me just giving you a link to the one I use and saying it's the best there is!
Good luck mate. If you get stuck on anything, read, read, read. If you really can't find help then you've found a very rare situation, so go ahead and ask.
Have fun
Thank you, that will help me for sure, but i have an other question.
What means "Sense or no Sense" ?
Do you know the HTC interface, HTC Sense? It's on the HD2 running WM by default, but also on Android HTC devices such as the Desire, Desire HD and Desire Z (to name but a few).
If you've never seen it it's worth a look. I personally don't use it as I prefer something more configurable, but a lot of people really rate it.
Here's a link to the Desire running Sense...

Hello,
I use a clean Android 2.3.2 and it works like a charm. 720p recording does not work, but it should be fixed in future. You can contact me via MSN or ICQ.. In german
Or you go to www.mobiletopia.de and you can read my Tutorial for flashing Android (http://mobiletopia.de/viewtopic.php?f=371&t=8275) if it is easier in german.
Im not exactly sure what it is, but i think that i like it.. so thank you very much .. I will give a try to the threads you posted above.
You're welcome mate. Good luck
You may also want to try one of the NAND builds, they replace Windows Mobile on your phone. I set up NexusHD2-Froyo V1.9b NAND for my girlfriend and she's reported no problems. It's been a few weeks now.
It runs very fast and stable.
Before you can install a NAND ROM, you will first need to install the MAGLDR. But it's all quite easy.

It's Android for the NAND of you HD2. That means that it will be installed in you phone memory.
An other option ist to install Android on your SD card and Windows Mobile is still on your device and you have to start Android from within Windows Mobile.
I think NAND is the better option, after you startet Android the first time you will never change back
P.S. i used a clean Android from the NAND-section fro Leo and it just works.
