As of late ive been having a touchscreen issue, bought device a few days ago, not noticed anything until i installed franco kernel. Enabled overlay drawing to see what was going on, in one of every ~30 unlocks the notification bar gets dragged down when i want to unlock my device.
Screen is pretty self explanatory, is there any way to set a deadzone for those upper few pixels? Is anyone else experiencing this?

It's a known issue of Franco's kernel. It should be fixed however from M2 onwards. What release are you running?

3.4.0-franco.Kernel-Milestone.1, will update to M2 and see what happens.
Edit: Just had the exact same issue on M2, no dalvik/cache wipes.
Having the same on Francos #134 kernel.

Hmmm, try performing a factory reset of your phone and flashing Franco.kernel again. I had the same issue but it disappeared on M2.

As you can probably tell, I am new here.
I joined to try and solve an issue with my galaxy s.
For the last few months my phone has been randomly resetting itself which is becoming more and more common. Sometime it happens every few minutes.
It also keeps freezing when i try to do anything. The internet is barely useable anymore as it just crashes.
If you need any information before you can help, please just ask.
Thanks to anyone that can suggest some fixes.

Do You use SetCPU (or other) to overclocking?
I don't have any overclocking software installed.
I am running android 2.2 and my kernal is: 2.6.32.9
It is rooted.
A rooted phone running 2.2?!
Blasphemy.... BLASPHEMY I say to you!
Just kidding, yet again wondering why wouldn't you try a custom rom based on 4.0.4? Maybe it will fix your problems, maybe it won't, but I strongly believe it's still worth a try.
Try the CM9 nightlies.
I have tried to run 4.0.4 earlier today and my phone just went nuts. Became very un-responsive.
I decided to load up Kies and it prompted me to update to gingerbread (2.3), so I did. Problem is solved. Running so smoothly now.
Thanks for the suggestions anyway.

Hey guys
I sold my nexus 4 previously but just re purchased one because nothing out there matches the smoothness of this beauty..
But anyway I've noticed some weird screen bugs happening now and again and wanted to know if its hardware or software?
I'm running PA with Franco. I'm guessing I need a replacement but just thought id get another opinion first
Thanks

Since it's visible in screenshots, it's 100% software. Flash the stock images and see if that helps
Thanks ill give that a go.. i did find it a little weird that it showed on screenshots too
Still doing it after flashing factory image... no apps installed or anything custom... its so strange
I had a HTC sensation 3g that did this I ended up having to get a hardware replacement to fix it. I never had that problem before or after that phone

I'm having a similar issue with my brand new nexus 4 that i unboxed yesterday. It had the issue with stock and now still persists on CM10.1 with franco kernel. not sure what is the resolution. did you manage to fix yours?
I was told it was the best for nexus 4, but its been a month now that its been "patching" here is the screenshot that keeps my screen ON, and when i lock it, it turns it on after a few seconds.

Just flash the factory image and be done with it. Stock is pretty good.

Its not the ROM that sucks, It's Open Delta that sucks.
This is a common problem with open delta.
You will find the update located in: sdcard/open delta
Just reboot to TWRP and flash the update from sdcard/open delta in TWRP.
Best of luck
You are probably using Omnirom. 1. Omnirom has not released an official lollipop build till now so you are probably using an unofficial build
2. Opendelta won't work for unofficial builds.
I'm facing the same problem that this guys are having. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-grand-2/help/help-blue-screen-error-samsung-grand-2-t2831445 except i only have it with cm 12.1 and ress remix.
I don't know if this has some relation with dual sim fixes, maybe.
I also noticed that it usually happens when the phone gets hot and i have to wait until s3 neo temperatures becomes normal, otherwise it'll show the blue screen and reboot again and again... Stock rom is ok, no errors, but cm 12.1 is much metter. It's a shame i can't use it propperly.
@Rox can u give me a hand? Idk what is logcat and how to do it, if its usefull i can do it.
Also i made some tests and most of times (90%) the blue screen happened after antutu test and always in this screen

There are plenty threads about logcat and how to use it. You dont know if it's related with the fixes: Reflash it without the fix and check how it goes. But sure it is the the fix that causes this (taking into account that you have reflashed the rom after the issue because sometimes maybe something doesn't go well when flashing/copying).
Device is running on latest stable xiaomi.eu ..... This was working fine the first few days of flashing the ROM but last few days this problem has started. Any clues ?

Hey thanks for your response. I was expecting this may be a problem of cpu gettting stuck at higher frequencies, bu the battery stats posted showed that the phone was not awake for most of the time. It was in deep sleep with intermittent wakes which I believe is normal?
