I used it and like the concept. Also like the HTC ability to quickly create a video of the days event and create an MP4 to send out.
thanks
For that specific feature of creating video highlights, you could try "Magisto".
I'd love to see some app recommendations around an "shoot now, edit later" feature for the S4 where you can erase a passerby, create dynamic shots, etc. without going into those specific modes. Of course, this is accomplished on the HTC One with the Zoe feature where you take a Zoe and then do the editing later, useful for if you get an unexpected photobomber or if you realize later that one of your friends had blinked in the group shot.

I am looking for an app to assist with medium/large format photography. Currently I use a spreadsheet to note the various settings for each frame, however there was an app (photoassist) I used on my old WM5 device that had drop down menus, though it doesn't work on the TP2.
Something that can also use the phone's camera as a lightmeter would be great too.

I second that I would love to not buy another Gossen Digipro F I would even through a $100 bounty on this. That will still save me $170.
Resco Photo Viewer can handle .raw, .tiff, .png, etc... files. Spb Imageer can do the same.
However, large format photos are going to cause extreme issues. The OS has a memory limitation of 32MB, so anything approaching that size will cause your device to crash...
Could you perhaps elaborate on a feature set you're looking for in this application? If I understand correctly you're wanting a way to record information about your individual frame settings, not a way to view or arrange these images on your device, correct?
I'm not promising anything, but depending on your requirements I might be able to assist you in creating an application that suits your needs.

Yes, it would be a pretty simple app. Basically there would be multiple drop down fields that are prepopulated with different values based the prior selection, some thing like-
Film size- 120/220/4x5/8x10, then presuming 120 is selected, brings up the next field,
Image format- 6x6/6x7/6x9/6x17, then presuming 6x6 is selected, brings up
Film type- Negative/Color Reversal/B&W, then
ISO- 50/100/160/200/etc, and so forth.
The above would be "master fields" that are global to the film I select, and subfields would then include the frame #, aperture, shutter speed, EV, etc.
All the info would then be recorded into a spreadsheet or database for later viewing.
The side app to turn the phone's camera into a lightmeter would be as simply as providing a live output of EV (exposure value) based on what the camera is seeing. A plus would be if it could output ISO/shutter speed/aperture values too, but we'll take things one at a time.
Coming from the fuze with the people tab i could update new people, remote people and change the picture for a person. With the htc pure and the new people tab it does not give me the update picture option.
as well when i put a new person without a picture it only lets me crop the picture and not use the entire picture. the only way around both issues was to change the pic using the windows mobile contacts tab and change the picture however it is not high resolution.
aside from deleting the contact and redoing it is there another way?

You should be able to delete or change your contact photo in "edit contact".
That does allow me to remove it appreciate that. Still though i would have hoped there was a way to use the full picture in manilla instead of cropping.
I had the one for a week and found two things I miss with the S4 now.
1. The camera app on the one seemed to do both object, face, and best picture all in one. You would simply run the zoe or burst (can't remember which) then remove objects, choose your smiles, animation shot etc. With the S4, looks like I have to choose the mode I want first but cannot edit with the other features
2. I really like the automatic creation of videos based on photos and videos you took. You choose 10 peices of content and create the video highlights. Simple, quick.
Any ideas how to do similiar on the s4.
thanks
Yes. Trade your phone back to One

ZOE is very clever and the S4 dosent really have a comparative feature you have the S4 Albums that can make intelligent albums grouped by when pics were taken but its a separate app. The S4 has a lot of settings buried under the different modes it might be worth checking those out to see what tweaks you can make. For instance I have the auto exposure default notched up 2 spaces which to me provides better ISO levels.
Hi everyone,
I didn't know this was part of Blinkfeed, nor could i find it via search. Seems it makes a little collage of photos once they're a year old.
Way to think of the little things htc, nice surprise this am.

This "Video Highlights". It was part of Sense 5.0 & with latest update (Sense 5.5) the Photo Gallery changed a bit, but it is still there.
Im raising this thread from dead.. but I have good reason.
Latest updates to HTC Zoe (renamed Video Highlights feature) broke some important functionality.
1. User can save produced clip on phone.. only to upload on HTC social network
2. All edits are limited to 16 pics, no matter how long is song.
Those issues makes Video Highlights useless. So, I tried to uninstall HTC Zoe updates and I got back both features, but I lost all themes. Only one (Clean) teme works. All other temes is listed but not working (fallback to Clean theme). After research I found two folder on user storage which is used by factory video highlights and updated HTC Zoe. But folders is updated, old content is overwritten and after I uninstall HTC Zoe updated, new themes is still there but old app cant use them.
I contacted HTC Zoe support and they realise those issues, but they dont have plans to fix it, because they are focused on their social network... So lame...
So I decided to fix this.
I need someone who *DID NOT UPDATE* HTC Zoe app to copy (backup) following folders and upload somewhere:
Code:
/sdcard/Android/data/com.htc.zeroediting
and
/sdcard/Android/data/com.htc.zero
I tried to find those files on ROM images, but seems there is no such files because ROM files does not include user partition files.
If I manage to fix this issue I'll write nice tutorial how to restore broken functionality.
Coming from a Samsung s5 I'm used to being able from the photo gallery to crop and draw on photos. Now with the standard photos app I don't see these functions. Am I missing something, or do I now need another app? Recommendations?

I don't draw on my pics, but have seen a few that allow this....Just search for gallery and read the features. I've tried about 25 different ones to find one I like and I always come back to QuickPic . Has several great editing tools......But I always have a 2nd (besides Google Photo's) with more editing options. This 2nd one changes all the time and I keep hoping I'll find an "all-in-one" gallery that will let me only keep one. Many people will recommend the CM gallery, I really like it but it has no option to "hide" a folder. So if you have 300 albums, each in their own folder, you can' t automatically hide them - You have to add some sort of "no media" tag to each folder (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
Another one I like, is a new one that I thing has potential.... It's called: A+ Gallery Photos & Videos (by AtomicADD Team)
Another couple I liked were:
FOTO Gallery (by LADYBUG)
Gallery (by Flayvr Media, Ltd.)
Piktures was another one I used for a while, you might check it out too.
You can always delete them if you don't like them.
Thanks, I was hoping for a few suggestions rather than the try a whole bunch to see approach. I checked the play store and hoped to whittle it down to a few contenders.
