[Q] Voice Control? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I turned on voice control to answer or reject calls, and it is not working, does anything else have to be on/off for this to work?
TIA

Thanks, but I couldn't find a "features" section or anything specific about voice control to answer calls. Just how to get to it and enable it. (Which I already did)

I just simply cannot get this voice control to work for anything. Anyone here getting voice control to "Answer" or "Reject" calls to work?

Hi there,
Does anyone know how to make the atrix vibrate on call connect and call end?
My old Nexus S did and I like the feature.

"Callend Vibrate" is one choice.

Try callVibrate (novaeye) from the market, is the best one for me so far, vibration on answer and end call.

Thanks guys...
I found that callvibrate worked best for me.

You're welcome.

I use Vibralert, its a root app, and offers customizable vibrations on: outgoing answered, incoming answered, outgoing failed & active ended. as well as an in call alerts option.

NFC task launcher

Would Tasker allow me to write a tag to do more actions? Right now the tags I have can only hold 46 bytes and I'd have to use multiple tags to toggle the volumes. That or is there a way to toggle volume and have notifications and ringer volume linked together like in aosp? My T999 won't allow that.

I used nfc task launcher and set 3 volumes, turn on Bluetooth, wifi off and brightness and launch an app all on one tag. U should be fine.

Well it works but not if I do a toggle tag which is my goal

im pretty sure you can use tasker to perform operations
I figured out a solution for this by toggling a setting. However what do you all use your nfc tags for?

[Q] Setting to hear notifications while on a call?

Apologies for this simple question, as I have tried searching everywhere.. While on a call, I don't hear when texts come in using the stock messaging app and also Whatsapp.. Am I missing a setting somewhere?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
This is a good question as my girlfriend just yelled at me beside I didn't answer or call her back. Didn't hear the call or text while I was on the phone.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Good question.....
Anyone? This is my first Nexus device, so I honestly have no idea..
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Why would they put that in the first place? It would interrupt the call, If you want you could just check your notifications afterwards.

Well, every smartphone I've previously used (including the att Galaxy S2) would sound off a notification and that way it was easy to check if the message was important and place the phone on speaker while responding.. Our phones can multitask for a reason..
But it's always been available as an option on my previous phones that could easily be disabled for those who prefer no interruptions.

Anyone?

there is call waiting. just go to the dialer and hit setting on the bottom right and then scroll down to additional settings. as for text im not sure.

do you mean when you ask "s-voice" the answer is not spoken?
try to hit the little face next to the mic, this will activate voice prompt.

Different issue but sort of related, for me the alarm snooze doesn't work. I tell it "snooze" but it keeps going. Maybe it knows I'm still half asleep

Why yes I do....seeing how I was just clearing up what was being discussed as people were confused and how I don't actually use s-voice I figured why turn on the option just for a screen shot.

[Q] Any call block app for NON-rooted LG G2?

I am so on my last nerve with these robo dialers trying to sell me viagra and fix my credit.
I am about to change my number. The only reason I haven't is because of all the people I will have to notify if I do.
I am running 4.4.2 stock. Is there anything that will work well? I don't care if I have to pay.
I searched and only found a thread from 2012. Sorry if I didn't search thoroughly enough.
No but there is a call reject option in the call settings

Any way to NOT send them to voicemail? Just hang up?
I'm half tempted to find a recording of the tones for a disconnected number and make that my voicemail message for a while, if not.
