What are the differences (hardware and software) between the i337 and the i9505 model besides the fact that one is international and the other isnt?
Thanks in advance!

No LTE support for AT&T on the i9505, that the big one and only one I know of.
Will the shape of the phones be exactly the same?
I bought a i9500/i9505 case and I was wondering if the i337 will fit the case as well..
I have seen pictures that suggest that the i337 has rounder sides (the aluminum strip).... Haven't seen it in real life yet
Anyone have any input for this?

Can you elaborate on that? I have an AT&T I337 S4 and I am on their 4G LTE network.

I believe that the chassis for all of the SGS4's variants is the same; the only difference is the radio internals.

The i9505 also has a FM radio, only GS4 to offer it actually.

I'm confused about all the variants too.. There isn't a forum for the i9505 (the one that has the actual model number i9505), is there..?

I'm using a regular i9500 case on my i337...so i think that means they are all the same
Also~
I believe the international version has an 8core Exynos processor (spelling?) while the state-side variants have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4core.

According to Samsung, NONE of the GS4 variants has an FM radio.
The real mind bender is the Exynos 5 supports ALL LTE Bands yet they turned them off, why is a friggin mystery to me.

Wikipedia article today modified to remove FM radio reference.
ATT webpage under Details tab still says "Built-in FM Radio - Requires use of headphones " : http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/devices/samsung/galaxy-s-4-16gb-white-frost.html
Has nobody yelled "False advertising" loud enough for ATT to change it ? It gives anyone a handy reason to return one with no penalties.

Any plans to sell the s3 to get an s4? I would say start a bounty for a phone because your s3 work is nothing less than top notch.

Nope. It's not on the horizon for Verizon. They have the Galaxy Nexus which has the same HD screen but slightly smaller. That is the closest you will find.
Also I might add, the only carrier in the US that the note works 100% on with no compromises is ATT (or smaller carriers using ATT's network). Other carriers may work like Tmobile but with edge (slow internet) or not at all.

Why would it be a bad idea, as long as it's the I9100 then your fine.
If you want the phone then go ahead.

I think it is the international version.. I just don't want to get screwed and have no roms, or root
You get updates faster on a world edition phone ota.. But if ur flashing roms doesn't make much of a difference.

Have you seen the forum for the i9100??? You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. There are more roms than you can think about.
It's probably the most supported galaxy s2 now.

If you are on T-Mobile, as your carrier icon says it would be a bad idea. You'll be stuck on edge as far as data goes.

Correct. the Original s2 i9100 does NOT support tmobile 1700mhZ AWS bands so you will be stuck on edge....
do what I did: switched to at&t from T-Mobile, signed a 2yr contract to get an iphone 4s for 199, SOLD the 4s for 500, put a little bit on top and got myself a white i9100
and now on a $10 unlimited data plan because they have no idea what phone im using
at&t's 3g is nowhere near as fats as tmobiles but you have a better selection of "unlocked" phones
I have the chance to purchase/trade a galaxy S4 new still in the box. I'm on Att and my only concern is that LTE does not work on the international version..Am I correct? Thank you
Yes you can use LTE with International S4 with AT&T (use only stock roms) look for Unlock S4 and AWS...

International phone or ROM? Theres a difference.
i9500 or i9505
Both are S4 "International" versions. One (i9500) has Samsung's "Octa-Core" processor while the other (i9505) has the Snapdragon 600 quad core. The thing is, I don't believe the i9500 Octa core has LTE unless you get the Korean version.
If it's the i9505 version, there are some how-to's on here that might allow you to enable the ATT LTE bands.

The GT-I9505 with the snapdragon processor is THE same hardware of the AT&T phone. The GT-I9500 is the exynos octo-processor but as far as I know may/may not get the frequencies needed to run AT&T 3G and does not have LTE. I am not 100% sure but I ran into issues like this purchasing my S3 GT-I9300. At that time I bought the Gt-i9305 which had LTE but it would not get AT&T frequencies for 3G, so I sold it and got the 9300 that worked with AT&T but had no LTE.
"The S4 has two major variants, one featuring a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 and the other featuring an Samsung Exynos 5 Octa. The Exynos 5 Octa version features the first big.LITTLE architecture central processing unit (CPU) but does not have LTE connectivity."--from wiki

No LTE on the octacore. why would you want one of those pieces of crap? ALOT of developers don't want anything to do with it. and the chip itself is apparently just a huge flaw. Just go over to the int'l forum and read about it, personally your wasting your money if you by the octacore

Hey everyone!
I purchased an S4 yesterday from a guy on Craigslist. This S4 does not have any type of branding on it at all, so my guess is that it is the international unlocked S4. The About Phone section says it is a GT-I9500, baseband version is I9500XXUAMDK.
I took it to MetroPCS today (which ride off of T-Mobile towers) and activated the device onto their network. However, I am stuck on EDGE!!
I do not know what to do. It has been quite some time since I have been working with Android phones. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is it? Baseband version and model number are legit ... this is the international exynos variant s4
Also according to this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cellular_frequencies
MetroPCS uses CDMA/EVDO tech for data ... while the i9500 which u have supports only gsm bands and HSPA+ for data ...
That's why u are stuck on edge/2g

Yeah, I ran a test with an app in the play store that detects. It has less than 1GB of RAM and only 720p video. The camera quality kinda sucks too.
MetroPCS teamed with T-Mobile, so they should be on HSPA+ now. That is why I took the "S4" there.
Suggestion

If the S5 turns out like any of the previous Samsung devices, then the Snapdragon one is the better to choose for development etc, in regards to stats, even though they both have different CPU's they both perform around the same rate.. So neither one is the "better" one.

Speaking of this. Does anyone know a place to buy an unlocked one in the US? I want to use it with straight talk, but don't want to have the at&t stuff on the back and on the phone. I think unlocked phones get updated quicker??
Not sure if I trust the Joe Schmoes on Amazon
