Nope all smartphones carry a $100 deductible now. And they always consider full retail price which is like $499 still.

20% deductible on the total value of the insured device?
Wouldn't it suck if you had to pay 20% of your car when you got into an accident?

Many health plans make you pay ~20% of the total bill.

If you choose a $1000 deductible on your car and it is only worth $5000 in the blue book...that's 20%. You get what you pay for. Best Buy insurance has no deductible but costs more. They also don't cover lost or stolen.
I got my wife a used Epic on swappa.com for $165 about 3 months ago.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
Yeah I picked up my epic on ebay practically new for 165 about two months ago, then sold my evo shift for 200 cause sprint wouldn't just switch me to this phone even though they offered me nexus. Just gotta make sure its got a clear esn. So id say by the end of the year u should prolly drop ur insurance cause even if u gotta pick up another one it would be around 100 for this phone anyways sprint usually sends u a referb anyways. Terrible and good part of android phones depending on how u look at it is they lose most of their value by 6 to 8 months after being released.

Being the son of an insurance agent, I can say that people who choose $1000 deductibles have ****ty agents. My mom would have fully explained the cost differential, as the difference is not that much per month.
Using your analogy downplays the severity, My car was 20k used. if I had to pay $4000 in the event of an accident i'd have some problems...
As it stands now, I only have to pay $250.
If asurion offered more than one policy, I would choose one that gives me the best advantage...
Ah but to avoid a 25% increase in your policy would you have accepted a change to a $500 deductible? Assurion used to be $50 regardless of phone. Now phones cost a LOT more and are a hot item to steal. Since they cover theft rather than increase the monthly cost to $12 they went the way of an increased deductible. I guess they could have kept the cost down if they removed the lost or stolen part.

I think I got shafted by at&t I ordered over the phone not online I guess online is 199.00 vs 299.00 over the phone I got white one but she couldn't tell mr whether it's a 16gb or 32gb.anyone pay the same as me?

I paid $199 for the 16gb model of which only like 8-9 gigs is available on boot :/
Worst case for you is you overpaid, in which case you have like a 30 day window to return or exchange, so you should be fine price-wise.

I got mine in-store and it was listed as the 16gb model. I tried ordering over the phone but wouldn't have received it fast enough.
I'm not sure why AT&T would quote you $299 though...I don't think they have a $299 version yet?

My local Wal-Mart in Fort Worth has them in stock for only $168.00. I had to look twice because I thought it was the S3, hard to tell the difference.

I have found the chat option on sprints site to be a great alternative to a phone call or a trip to the store. but i imagine, the answer is yes you can take the phone back and get your money back. i have done it. there was an htc windows mobile phone years ago i got and took back less than 2 weeks after i bought it. it got horrid reception.
I don't see why you wouldn't just call sprint and ask...

Within the 14 days you should be able to, but I'm 99% certain they will charge you the restocking fee. I don't think there were any other fees.
I thought about leaving when my contact was up last time, but I couldn't find anything better anywhere. Good luck with your switch, hope they let you or without too much hassle.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda premium
You can cancel in the 1st 14 days. You will have to pay for the time you used it (a pro-rated ammount) but you will get the rest of the money back + your deposit (if you had to put one down.)
You MIGHT have to pay a restocking fee on the phone and you will lose your $36 line-activation-fee you had to pay too.
Just go into a Sprint store and tell them you are within your 14 days and you want to cancel.
If you return a device on a new line in the first 3 days you pay no service costs but subject to the restocking fee.
After the first 3 days but before 14 then you would still have to pay for the services uo to that point and a restocking fee.
The only way to avoid the restocking fee is if the device is defective.

It wasn't a smart comment. It was a legitimate statement. I am 100% you could have figured out the answer to your question by doing any of the listed methods that should be the first things you do before asking a question much quicker then posting a thread on XDA and then waiting for responses.
Your question was in regard to Sprint, so why not ask Sprint directly - there's a multitude of ways to contact them. And I know there are plenty people knowledgeable of Sprint's procedures here and I know some people work there as well but your question was for Sprint, what's the point of asking her unless you were unable to get an answer for who knows what reason.

Did it ever occur that he may bounce a few questions off others here in the appropriate place - the forum before contacting the service provider. There is no harm in that; if one might believe so, than simply do not respond.

How about you do your own due diligence instead of expecting someone to "wipe" for you as well. I mean, for the love of everything sensible, this is the sort of question that is solved by contacting the carrier via * 2, walking into a store or via the web. Anyone can say whatever on here (both correct and incorrect) and it wouldn't mean squat because at the end of the day the final decision is (between you and Sprint) the carrier.
Wouldn't you rather get the correct answer from the horse's mouth?
Be quick about it, it is actually only 13 days. They count the day of purchase as the first day so make sure you don't wait to long.
If you don't like the answers that were given, call Sprint. I'm not sure why you didn't just do that in the first place

Yeah I've used it before with the galaxy s6 edge. They had a promotion where you'd pay 5 a month and 75 deductible. Broke my s6 edge screen after 3 months of it being out. Sent it to Samsung, they charged me 241 to fix. Sent the receipt by email to squaretrade and they PayPal me back the money minus the $75 deductible. Just got coverage again for the s7 edge. Paid 120 and it's 100 deductible

They let you pick a place from their data base or you can pick your own place to have it fixed. Springly, they didn't have Samsung as one of their places so I chose my own place and that was the actual Samsung repair center
