Hi,
If you have the International variant ,you are fine.
Only the US AT&T variant is locked.

@OP: you have to press F8 while booting, if you'll see the options, then ur bootloader is unlocked....

1.Does this mean that i can flash a rom like cm10 normally?
2.Also i heard most roms come with root pre installed so does this mean if i flash a custom rom it will give me root access?

the i9505 (s600) is not the international version!!!
the international version is the i9500 ( exynos5 )
Its downloaded OS upgrade to 4.3, currently on 4.2
I haven't installed it yet as it states you cannot downgrade after this update.
I will probably be interested in custom roms and rooting, if I update to this will i not be able to root etc?

Have you tried the method recommended for the i9505? CF-Autoroot. Worth a shot.
Have you tried to look in the i9506 forum here?
I know i have, and i'm rooted!
Dont want to take any chances with using the i9505 method.

Thanks but they only have the file. Do I just boot into download mode and download the root zip from there? Or is there something I'm missing?
