Mine will drop in and out at home, but normally no other place. The odd thing is that no other devices drop out at my home, just the Droid X

I know this is something you have already thought of but is your wifi passworded and have you added the password correctly

You might check your router to see if you have access control enabled. I have frequently found that to be the cause when a new item refuses to otherwise connect. First check login, password, then the router permissions. Be sure to recycle your router if changes are made.
Installed PDA net to try and tether via Bluetooth. Did not work. Uninstalled PDA net and now my Market says it can't connect to the network
If you used the pdanet tablet edition open the app and clear the proxy. If you did not, u will not see the web.

Hi I have a PC connect via ethernet to the internet, I would like to connect my phone to the computer so I can broadcast my computers internet connection to my iPad for example. Don't want to use mobile data tethering thanks. I can use either a HTC Hero or Samsung GS2. Is this possible at all? any apps that will let me do this?
I'm not sure if it forces mobile data when hotspot is enabled.
If not, I'd connect the phone to the PC using internet pass through with mobile data disabled and hot spot enabled. I'm unsure if it will use your PC's internet when broadcasting though

Also, I found a similar request here

Its not the greatest help though, but that open garden app still does something I guess

You want your computer to be a Wi-Fi router? Try Connectify. You will need a Wi-Fi card to make it work.

If your computer has a Wi-Fi card/builtin, you can use something like Connectify to turn your computer into a hotspot.
When you say wifi card thats the same thing as a wireless card?If yes then I can use my laptop as a hotspot?how do I do that exactly. Thanks

Like a PCI card or it's built into all laptops built in the last ten years.
If I had a wireless card..I wouldnt even bother about getting a phone with "Internet Pass Through"
What I am asking is "A Desktop without a wifi card but has a wired internet connection needs to provide internet to a laptop"
What are we having with us? - A Phone with "Internet Pass Through" enabled
A Desktop (With no WIFI card)
A Laptop (With a WIFI card ofcourse)

Laptop would work. It has built-in Wi-Fi and probably a 10/100[/1000] ethernet port.

You still don't understand mate...
What I meant to say is
PC is WIRED with broadband connection...It is passed to the phone using Internet Pass Through...
Now THE GOLDEN QUESTION IS HOW TO BROADCAST THIS INTERNET(that is present in the phone through IPT) USING ANY HOTSPOT APP!
?

follow this reverse tethering guide (i've tested this one and it's working):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1371345
and when it's done... try and activate the wifi hotpot feature of your android phone.

Oh gotcha. Sounds like you got an answer above but if that doesn't work, hook your phone up to the laptop and use an app like Connectify on that laptop. Sorry I didn't understand.
Try this http://www.connectify.me

Dear friends,
I have a wifi issue, my mobile mt6575's wifi can find and connect rooter, but some seconds later link speed changes 54 mps to 0 mps, it still connected but there isnt any internet connection. I tried most of things for example, static ip and google dns, changed country code, different rooter, different open rooter, wpa, wep etc. But i couldnt solve. What can i do for solving this issue. Hmm i tried mobile 3g internet sharing, my galaxy p1000 connected very good to mobile and connected mobile's internet.

Does it happen on other devices connected via Wi-Fi?
My tablet galaxy p1000 and my laptob can connect clearly to the rooter, my mobile phone mt6575 ( android 4.0.4 ) can connect too but some seconds later link speed changes 54 mps to 0 mps. i tried to connect 5-10 different rooters, i would see same issue. Hmmm, mobile can do internet sharing very well. when i open mobile's 3g internet to sharing, galaxy p1000 and my laptop can connet to mobile very well and can use its internet.

Hi all
My friend has a galaxy s4 and it will connect to his WiFi network, but when he goes to like, for example, go onto the web browser, it will say he is not connected to the net!
Its not our internet that is the problem either! Because other devices connect and use wifi.
Thanks

Try forgetting the wi fi network on the phone, then reconnect to it, re-enter the password and see if that helps.

Hi,
My friend has already tried that.
His problem is very strange
It will connect to Google on the web browser.
But if he opens Facebook it will not connect to the internet
