Hi,
I can't find the solution to this problem.
I had originally a Dutch Vodafone branded X10i.
Debranded it -> ok
Rooted it with the old method (install .16, update, root) -> ok
Had to repair some mistakes and reinstalled the X10i again.
First back to .16 from the old root method.
Update OTA to .23.
Update to .26 had to go with SEUS.
Installed the new root function (one-click app X10root.apk).
Reinstalled my apps and data with Titanium Backup.
All but some apps seem ok.
I can't find some apps in Android Market anymore.
For example I'm missing Paypal (is free), Hit it light, GoTo (lockscreen, paid).
From the applications menu I:
- erased data from download management
- erased data from gmail
- erased data from google apps
- erased data from google talk
- erased data from google talk-service
- cleared the cache of market
- erased data from market updater
- erased data from gmail storage (opslag van gmail)
I can't find anything called IM or Instant Messaging or so.
I throttled the phone.
Started Android Market, inserted my credentials.
Still no luck.
What can I do next?
Have you tried the market fix?

Which one?
I know there's one from the original thread to gain root, but I thought that one was needed because .23 was deliverd by that thread. Do I need to run that market fix ?
Or do I need to use Eris Market Fix app?
Or is there another one?
Not sure which you would need to try, but would imagine it would be from the thread you used to root.

Hey guys, I have a problem when installing new apps or doing updates.
When I try to install new apps (angry birds Rio) it will download but not install, it has done this on other apps too. I have deleted apps to make room and done a factory reset and its still not working.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Have you tried to wipe the marked data from application settings? Don't know if it's going to help, but it's no harm in trying
Does it give you an error message when it gets to the install process? You could try unmounting the SD card temporarily before you try installing apps, this solved the only problem I've had installing apps from the Market.

Settings - applications - all aplications, locate marked and wipe all the data. Next time you start marked you should have to agree with terms as you did the first time.
Tried that mate, still not working

I've had this happen in the past and the only way I could get around this issue was to delete the file 'Smdl2tmp1.asec'
To do this, connect your phone to a PC and use Windows Explorer to search for the file. You will need to set Windows Explorer to read hidden files for it to find this file.
Hope this works for you too.

If the apps download but don't install you can install them manually. Using any file manager head to /cache/download , here you will see all the apps you tried installing recently. They don't have useful names but the icons should help you remember what they are.
Find the package and install it manually.

Right I sorted it. I took out the sd card and it installed it for some reason

Try wiping the data for Market. This can be done in Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All

Go to settings->Language & Input->Language; and select English US (or whichever u prefer). And Market should work after that.
I had the same problem when I switched to ICS rom (by texasice). Found this solution after a lot of searching and it definitely worked for me.
Btw, no other solution worked for me (clearing cache, dalvik..).
I always get the msg "Authentications required. Please log into your Google account." :-(
P.D I use the Market Enabler
Hey all,
I'm coming from the Samsung Epic 4G touch ..... thankfully off sprint ......... that was a horrible 4 years of abysmal coverage .. slow speeds when it would connect .. and random disconnects thrown in just for fun....
I'm pulling crazy fast speeds everywhere I go ... Hit 50Mbps this morning on my commute..
However, one thing I liked about my samsung was that there was an APK to bypass the exchange security pin ...
Anybody know if the Epic 4g Touch (Sprint version of SGS2) APK will work on the G2? or if there is a version out there that will accomplish this ?
I saw one for the GS4 ...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2355654
Didn't know if this would work on the LG G2 ...
Thanks in advance!!!!
Thanks guys!!!!
Are you rooted? Do you have twrp installed? If so try it and give us a yay or nay. It's not that difficult.

Awesome!!! I hope you get it ... It's a pain in the ass to have to password unlock my phone everytime the screen goes off
I would also love this email bypass apk
Here is an Xposed module designed for the G2 that bypasses the Exchange password policy. Use at your own risk.
anybody got this to work?

When I try to install, it just says "Application not installed" and doesn't do anything .... I don't know if I need to put it in a special folder or something for xposed to see it ...... I don't know what to do
any ideas or is there a different way to install this APK ?
Try saving the apk then using solid Explorer or the built in file manager to find and install it. Installing from the notification shade doesn't seem to work

This is how I did it.. file explorer ... install
It just then goes to a screen that says not installed and your only option is to exit.
Xposed doesn't seem to know anything about this file.
Make sure to go to settings, security, and select install all apps or similar option

Solution
I just did this on my own before seeing your post- hopefully you will find this useful.
I used this set of APKs: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1965468
Grab Email-JB.apk and Exchange2.apk
First, you need to completely uninstall (not just freeze) the LG Email app. I used Titanium Back to do this- make a backup of the app first in case you ever wanted to go back for whatever reason. Once the LG Email app is uninstalled, you can install the 2 AOSP APKs.
I didn't try installing them normally (download->open->install), it's worth a shot- instead I used the directions in the post to push the APKs via ADB.
You should see "Success" after pushing both via ADB (I did Exchange2.apk first, but I can't imagine it would matter). Unplug your phone, open Email, and you're set. My Email is syncing perfectly with my corporate email, no lock screen password required.

YES!!!!!!!!!! This totally works..
Thank you for looking out, and thanks for posting this ... I've been waiting to be able to add this .. and having to carry 2 phones to check email because I didnt want to be pinlocked on my G2!!
My procedure -
Rom tool box free for the uninstall, the titanium way didnt work for me because I have TWRP installed .. and when it would try the recovery removal .. it would boot to TWRP instead of the stock recovery ...
Anyways, Rom Toolbox free has an uninstall utility, couldnt be easier .. uninstalls without a reboot needed.
Turned on wireless storage, copied over exchange2.apk and Email-jb.apk and installed through android .. didnt use the ADB method .... it works perfectly!!!!!!
Thanks again.
That works. Only downside is it removed the feature of peak and off peak for message retrieval. oh well.

Tried this several ways, but it does not install. Can u give some more direction on this? Do we put itf in the apps folders? Flash it? Any advice would be appreciated. I like the lg email app and don't want to go back to the stock one if possible.
if someone figures out how to do this with the stock email app that comes with the att version, that would be awesome. I like that version better than the one you have to install to get this to work.
I really hate having to use a pin, but I have to give my work permission to remote wipe my phone. Is there any chance this could be flagged by my employer and they remote wipe my phone? That would really suck because of the lack of memory card. Anybody that has been remote wiped, did it affect the entire phone, or just the main system?
For some reason the home screen on my google now for the latest omnirom build isn't enable. It doesn't have the "Okay Google Now" inside the google search bar. Is it something to do with the gapps I downloaded?
It has to do with the installed language, I think. The workaround is to uninstall and then reinstall your Google Search, or move it from system app to user app, and back. I had success with the first option. Then I had to uninstall and reinstall GEL to get it to recognise the new Search and not hang at the end of the boot.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling google search and lost my desktop it reverted back to stock. How would I go about moving the app from/system to /usr and back? Where is the.apk located?
Thanks

You mean the your homescreen setup? Yeah. sorry I forgot to tell you that would happen. The important question is, did it fix hotword? Also, sometimes the text disappears but the mic is filled in as still functions. Be on the watch for that behavior as well.
As for system/user app converting, I have always used Titanium Backup for that.

Go to settings accessibility and disable services one by one to see which one is causing Google Now to fail listening.
Fixed

Thank you Tsukasa Buddha-- I used the second option with Titanium Backup to convert it from a system app to a user app and then back and it is now working properly on my sgh-i337m Galaxy S4. You're the best!
