I cannot add my gmail to it. I like it better than the Gmail app. I get server error everytime. Just wondering if it was not meant to be used for gmail. I got hotmail on there successfully on the first try. Im not a noob at this either. Any help appreciated.

Can you add it manually by inputting the imap and smtp fields manually.

I'm trying to do push email not pop or imap.
Went through this problem this morning. Solution does not exist. Google ended exchange access in January. Sucks.

I installed both my Gmail and yahoo accounts with no problem? Could you perhaps have disabled some system app or service during debloating that is causing the problem?

I thought google decided to grandfather in support for push to those with older legacy accounts or does that only work for iOS users.

somehow I cannot complete the process to add another mail account
Ive added gmail, now I wanted to add my school email account but it will not go any further then step 4/5, no matter what I try. I am not connected to the internet, which supposedly is good (the help file says so)
anyone run into this problem?
I have two pop accounts installed on my Jam, works no prob. there is a page when configuring the accounts the has Account information account type POP3 and by default has Name as POP3...have you been changing the names? because it will probably cause a problem having two accounts named POP3. I call my account Yahoo and Uni mail and have never had a problem.

I have been using my 8125 to access my gmail acount. It works fine for the most part. But once i've downloaded an email. And read it. Later i will send/receive again. All my previously read messages disapear and will not be re-downloaded. Is there any way to keep these messages in my inbox?

thanks for the help guys. I eventually found a solution that works for me and then some. I signed up for an account at mail2web.com that offers free push mail. I have my gmail acount forward all email to my mail2web account. So now i have free pushmail and i keep my old gmail account. (switching email addresses is a real hassle)

I did mine through Windows Live and it sets it up the hotmail in your messaging.

That's what I recommend too.
To add to this, if you looking to sync your Hotmail in the "Outlook" account that shows in the list of email accounts, that is for syncing with an Exchange Server email account.

Nothing special. Input your details into K9 and it takes care of the rest. Very easy. I use K9 for Gmail and prefer it over the Gmail app.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about Hotmail and Exchange using K9, I still don't think there is a solution for it. Stock Email app works fine with these new Exchange settings for Hotmail but doesn't do HTML, so it's useless. If anyone knows of a way, please let me know. I'd love to have all my email accounts consolidated into one in K9. Didn't mean to hijack this thread btw, getting Gmail to work in K9 is as simple as inputting your email and password, K9 will autoconfigure it.
I've had nothing but problems trying to setup hotmail as exchange vs regular pop3 in any email client so I just don't bother.
I have hotmail setup as pop3 in K-9 and I'm fine with it.
Okay I can't for the life of me figure out how to setup email using this Email App. It asks for a server name and domain, WT I don't have an exchange server I just want to use my pop3 account like on my phone, am I missing something here. Please help.

Thanks man, I had to find out the hard way : ( I set it up the Hot Mail way which seems to work.
