Hello,
I have a problem with pictures on my N4.
After flashing Cyanogen yesterday, I noticed today after trying to take some pictures, that they don't show up in gallery, they only show up as grey boxes. Same is true of any other picture in the memory, however picasa pictures are shown.
The picture problem also extends to some other apps, for example the official Twitter app or the 9gag app. Some other apps show pictures, such as Facebook or Google+. QuikPic alternate gallery app also shows pictures correctly.
I am on latest nightly of CM.
FWIW I also have a problem with camera app that shuts down when I change mode to video recording, but I wouldn't say it's connected and I accept that in a nightly.
Could anyone help me? Thanks

Interestingly enough, if I use edit option in the gallery, it shows the pictures just fine.
Tried flashing latest nightly and wiping cache, didn't help.

Wipe the data for the gallery app

Unfortunately, that doesn't help at all.

Seems like a fair bit of Job Limiter warnings in logcat. Off to read about it a bit.
Can I somehow attach it here from the xda app by the way?

When grepping Twitter from logcat I ran into the oh-too-familiar "Permission Denied".
I tried chmod to triple seven and fixing permissions from TWRP. Didn't help, but the next thing did, I did a backup and restore of data/media, and the process remounted the filesystem with proper permissions.
Now, all works.

Someone please help! Why doesn't any image show up at all? I've searched the forum and googled. When I go to the camera from the gallery screen an a go back to gallery after taking a pic. There is a list sdcard, camera, photo after few seconds it all disappears. It seems I am the only one with such problem. Currently I access my photos through the camera program.
How can I get the gallery program to pick up my photos?

Anyone had same issues?

I'm not having the issue, but could it simply be a corrupt cache? Try removing /sdcard/Android/data/com.cooliris.media and letting it rebuild.
Thanks. Camera app reading my SDcard so I ended up just formatting my SD card and started working. Now it works.

I can't seem to find a solution to my problem. Please see attachment. Basically, I cannot use my camera or gallery because of a No External Storage Available message. I wanted to take pictures and clips over the holiday period (I haven't got a proper camera)... I would be very grateful for any help! Cheers!:fingers-crossed:
It would help if you attached a screenshot of your Storage screen in Settings. That will show what is available and what is used. Perhaps we can find your memory hog.

Your images folder might have been deleted or is corrupted, maybe a cause for gallery and your camera not finding it.

Hi! No, it's the 8GB model, one of the very first batch...
I may very well have deleted the image folder when I was having problems with the update to 4.2. It would be great if you could tell me where to put it back (under pictures?) and what to name it. Thanks!

Storage/emulated/0/dcim/camera
Is the path mine uses on stock 4.2.1. You might want hook it up to a computer to find it unless you have a file manager.

Oh, using ES File Explorer I can see that I have this folder, and I even have some pictures in it taken before the 4.2 update. For some reason my camera and gallery can't access it. Any ideas?

have you tried using other cameera applications or quickpic and if so what were the results?
Maybe try to empty the folder onto your pc,maybe it is set to only use so much of the memory.
I have never used my camera so I can only make suggestions.
Sorry I cant help more.

go into apps in settings and clear galarys data and cache, force stop it to.
if all elce fails you could fastboot flash 4.2.1, after backing everything up with titanium backup.

I'm having trouble with the you tube app. I can only view one video, after this in order to view another I must close the app and reopen it. It's like I lose connection or something. If I click on another video or search the little circle just turns and turns forever never loading anything.
I'm running the latest paranoid android, but this has been an issue for a while and I've just been ignoring it.

Try wiping the YouTube cache/data.
If that does not help try removing any changes you did to the PA Settings to the YouTube app.

Had anyone had an issue where the N4 just won't give notifications for most apps? The notifications work for SMS and Gmail buy that's about it...
It doesn't matter of I'm on cellular data out Wi-Fi, and am running CM 10.1.0 Stable. Anyone know a solution or a reason for this?
Greatly appreciated
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
No haven't heard of that or know of a solution.
But as a member of 3 yrs you ought to know that questions go in the Q&A section. Please post your threads there next time.

Have you restored the app data using any apps? If so clear the app data for those apps (like facebook, whatsapp, etc) and relogin.

As soon as I have less than 500MiB storage avaliable, my n4 begins to act funky, like dropping many notifications. Maybe that's what's happening to you?

Or like oSandmano said, I'm alwats have this problem with Messenger, it's not showing notification until I remove it and intall from Play store

Don't use TitaniumBackup to restore app data for apps that requires push notifications. I'd bet that if you clear the app data for all the apps that are suppose to give you notifications, your problem will be solved.
Going forward, try to only restore the apps themselves. Go ahead to restore data for stuff like games. But for apps like Facebook or instant messaging apps, just make the effort to enter your login details.
