Does anyone know which WiFi Tether app will work with root AT&T Galaxy S4?

barnacle tether always worked for me back in the day. guess & test is your best option

Unfortunately Barnacle does not work.
Nor does Tetherfly, FoxFi, Treve or Wifi Tether

I have a Samsung vibrant with andriod 2.1 that i have rooted. I used to use barnacle to tether it to my laptop. Now, i know that asus can't connect with ad-hoc networks so i was wondering what Bluetooth tethering app people were using.
pdanet tablet version works.
I use an older version of wireless tether that still has bluetooth tethering on it, works great.

If not, you can root it with Prime 1.5 ROM that comes with the wpa_supplicant file needed for wifi ad-hoc.
Has anyone else recently had a problem with their wifi tethering? I have a rooted Nexus S 4G on a stock rom. I used to be able to wifi tether flawlessly, with speeds downloading at around 1MB/s... but as of late its down to around 10KB/s. But tethering with USB, it works normally. Can anyone help me with some suggestions as to why this is happening?

tried that. same problem. I've tried every wifi tethering app I can find. all the same result.
I use http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/downloads/list and it works pretty well. Cant say i've ever tested its speed on my laptop tho.
My phone is an HTC Hero cdma(sprint) that I rooted with z4root and cm7. 1. I tried almost every single version of the wifi tether app on the code Google website and none of them work.
My cm7. 1 has usb tether but not portable wifi hotshot. If anybody knows a way I would be really grateful.
The Hero only has Ad-Hoc wireless tether so your device may not be able to connect to Ad-Hoc networks and only infrastructure networks.

I'm running Wireless Tether v 2.0.7 on my CM6 Hero without problems.

Doesn't CM7 have the native tether app in the CM config screens? I don't tether with my Hero but I will have to take a look at it when I get home. I know that I used to use wireless tether app routinely so the Hero will def tether just fine.
Cyanogen mod 7.1 has tethering via usb but not portable wifi hotspot. I may have to flash to cm6 see if it becomes available. Thank you for the responses ill post back after my attempt.
Has anyone got tethering working for AT&T? I can turn on the native tethering, I can connect to it... But can't use the internet. Also, can't use the app "Wifi Tether for Root." Just got my N4 today, all I've done so far is unlock the bootloader and root it. Everything is stock.
Tethering works perfectly on my N4 on AT&T, all stock no root. internet works on the phone and on the tethered device.
What are your APN settings? May have something to do with it. I can tether just fine and I'm on at&t.

Now that the Galaxy Note 3 is out and we have root, has anyone been able to get the free Wifi Tether to work?
My note 3 is the TMobile model.
I tried different settings using the WiFi Tether App but I cant get it start with no errors.
