Grr silly hotfile. Started a download, failed. Now it says I'm already downloading (I'm not, browsers exited).
Anyone mirrored yet?
>> Update. Ok it was in fact still downloading on the tablet (8010). Flashed happily with mobile odin.

Can't see too many changes on the 8010, but haven't spent a long time with it yet

The update is nice the tablet seems a bit snappy'er / quicker

I've noticed two impovements.
First a bug where using the multitask-button and then quickly taping an app would open the wrong appp is fixed. This bug annoyed me a lot so I'm glad it's fixed.
Also the graphics seem to be smoother.

lf2 firmware on kies and oot

Just recieved an update OTA (sim free, uk sgs3) which failed to install when it rebooted in cwm (im using cf root).
Just ran update over kies instead.
As usual Kies doesn't tell you anything about updates, but the OOT that failed said it had 'stability improvements'
Maybe a screen redraw fix? who knows ill give it a play this morning
I can confirm the same. UK unbranded firmware.
PDA: I9300XXALF2
Phone:I9300XXLF2
CSC: I9300OXAALF2
Noiced Brightness fix so far. Maybe little zippier, too early too tell.
Mine failed over the air

it's already available on sammobile.com

I think they have fixed the screen redraw or is it just me? Mines back to 256m for dalvik and seems to be running like it was when set to 192m
Also mc3 loads way quicker now.
Edit: redraw fixed? Nope not completely

so oot = ota?
Can the OTA be installed on a rooted phone with perseus kernel? What happens if you do that?

Guys please discuss about about the updates in the firmwares thread.

Ota updates

Hi, I've just finished charging my new p6810 and it has informed me there is a firmware update available.
My question is, if I update (to ics, I assume?), could this cause me any difficulties if I later decide to unlock boot loader, root etc?
I have had a search but can't find anything conclusive, so I'm either blind our guessing it's not an issue. However, I'd appreciate confirmation.
I live in Australia, don't know if this has any relevance to update.
Cheers guys!

Well I know this update is not ics, it's only 0.07mb big. I will have a search to see what it does.

Just download latest ROM and flash it with Odin. Root is also easy to apply later.
The tab is just so much better with ICS don't waste time using HC.

Should the above firmware/rom work on an Australian P6810?
Cheers!

Do u guys reckon this means we are finally gonna get our JB update, or are some of you already downloading it (and preventing me from doing the same)
Sent from my GT-N8010 using xda app-developers app
Theres a new JB rom for Australia on Sammobile. So you are just having to wait for everyone else
Holy Moly!

Do I have to back up everything before doing an ota update sorry new to Ota.
Also is ota updating better easier than using kies.
Was never happier to see kies finally work on my mac so i could upgrade to JB

If anyone is interested this rom still has the clipboard crash problem. I.e. In s-note for example cut and paste a few times and eventually it will reboot the note. Not good samsung!, I'm very disappointed that they have not fixed this long running bug.........

there's some early test releases of 4.2.1 for the S3 floating around, the note 10 seems to be following the builds of that device fairly closely, so lets hope we see a leak build for ours at some point.
Another Germany release right? Is that the beta-country or something ;D

Is it an official update? No OTA nor Kies update available for me?!?

This is already on sammobile. But it is not available over the air or through kies. Is it unofficial from Samsung or what?

Kies update is available. March 2013 release.
As I responded to your other post with this link :
"So there was a DBT MB2 version for the N8000 a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't see the difference. Now there is an MC2! Has any one downloaded it or have any idea what is different between the two versions and from the MA8? Otherwise I'll just wait for 4.2.2!"
