Impossible install Recovery in Android ICS - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

Hey guys!
Unable to install the Recovery. From ROM Manager, brings me to the stock Recovery (Android system recovery <3) and when trying to install the ROM it gives me error:
E: "Failed to Verify whole-file signature"
Instalation aborted
I try to go to the screen rose to put the recovery.img but I mounted the SD card pc, so no choice ...
Any idea?Thank you!
PD: terminal Model: Huawei U8800 Pro
Sorry for not understand any word. This is the translator;(.

Who told you that u+ support rom manager???you need to unlock ics bootloader and then manually flash recovery.img!!

Dont use rom manager unless you have interest to go to the Service centre

[Q] CM MOD on SGS

Hey guys,
so, a lot of my quetstions will be already posted, but i can´t find them all.
So i hope i annoy no one here ;-).
Ok, now to the important:
I have a SGS until 6 month. over the time i learnd a lot of android and i´m very lucky with them.
Then i heard from cyanogenmod. and all i read about it is great.
i have knowledges about root of linux an so of android.
So, during my research i have a lot of question before i flash my sgs:
- i found only one forum enty where i read i have to format all partitions.
So, how do i flash a sgs?
i have a modded boot rom with root and clockwork mod.
I tried a backup of the system.
the rom manager don´t show ne the cm7 mod for my device.
Do anyone know why? because the RC status?
When i get an error, how can i rollback my firmware with the backup?
Which pc software i need?
my plan ist to flash the sgs with the experimental version, no nightly build.
CWM makes al lot if IMG files. the cm7 zip has only one IMG.
So, i hope anyone can tell some or send my some nice links.
thanks a lot :-D
ravn
Use this
Boom, that's how it's done folks.
Sent from my I9000m running Cyanogen Mod Nightly
Hey,
thanks guys.
So, can anyone explain me how i can go back to the original rom if i got any probs or even i want?
So, i made a backup with Titanium Backup (premium user) and secondly with CWM.
So, i copied them to my PC.
CWM makes some IMG files. So, how can i rollback them to my device?
Also if i try to create a rom image with the rom manager the recovery manager makes a error.
:-D
So, i get by saving my rom the following error:
-- Installing package ...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
Why do the rom manager want to install a package by making an backup?
PS: i have the rooted bootloader: PDA_XXJVK_Sbl.tar installed.
to revert back to you need to revert to a stock rom. using odin and a full PDA froyo will do the job.
Hey,
so u mean, i have to download the offical rom and install them over odin.
then i have to root them and install CWM and reverse the backup.
is that right?

Not do the following flash will brick: unlock BL, update flymeOS4.2.8.2, use this software recovery(not philz);
Now you can enter fastboot or recovery? Or you can send the meizu after-sales,it is free.

LG E610, help with custom ROM install (Error status 7?)

Hey,
I want to use an app that requires android 4.3 or above so have to install a custom ROM. Now I've rooted my phone, formatted everything using CM, but as I try to install the zip file on my phone I get the following error:
Code:
E: Error in /external_sd/cm-11-20150325-UNOFFICIAL-e610.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted
Seeing as I'm surprised I got this far I'd say it's about time I asked for help.
Does anyone know what the problem is, and can anyone help me fix it?
Thanks in advance!
Try to use the latest version of CWM or TWRP to flash the CM11. I do not have a link to the latest version of CWM, but I have to TWRP.

Ok so as per my understanding , you have unlocked bootloader .
You also have custom recovery twrp 2.8.7 installed . Right ?
Since you wipe system , your phone is without any os right now .
So now what you do is download any stock modified rom for your device .
Download latest twrp by xanwar . Flash the twrp zip (by xanwar)from twrp 2.8.7 (already installed ).
Voila ! Now you can flash any custom rom or stock based modified roms .
I don't know this is what you asking

I don't understand the logic behind not enabling usb debugging !
No need for all that .
If using windows then make sure the all driver shows up when you enter into fastboot mode .
Check from control panel of your PC . If not then reinstall the drivers . It must show asus composite ...........Blah Blah blah ...Android bridge interface .(well i use Linux so dont recall properly ).
Once the desired drivers are present you are good to go ahead .And flash proper twrp .And do the rest .
Bottom line :check drivers
Flash the latest twrp (24 July build) link below

You should try only one - 2.21.617.1 or eventually newer but it would have to be for your model (US, SingleSIM my best guess).
Take the 2.21.617.1, save it properly named on the SD Card and boot into update.
And be more specific - what is the "brick" according to you?

If you can get into TWRP you could simply install LeeDroid 2.1 that is for single and double SIM recovery installer and save all the hustle.

First - explain, how have you managed to perform the downgrade?
Second - do you have TWRP? If yes - OTA won't work! It has to have the original HTC recovery to handle the upgrade package.
Flash TWRP, If you already have it. Just boot to recovery and flash new custom rom or if you want stock rom so you can downgrade to nougat and then update to Oreo.
