I got a P705 running stock 4.1.2.
There is a "1" icon next to the silent mode icon in the notification bar, which is the Line 1 icon in the call settings.
But the options there are only Line 1 or 2 and I cannot hide the icon.
So is there any way to hide or remove this icon?

In Jelly Bean go to app info and uncheck "Show Notification" for the app that uses this icon....
under "all apps" and try to find this system service or app ...and hopefully your able to find it..

i want to insert like a 1/2 line entry at the bottom right corner that shows the current event or the next event today.
also i only want it to show the event today, and not for tomorrow.
of course i want it just as black text to match the theme.
and have it display nothing when there are no more events left in the day.
something like %Event% - %location%?
or maybe
%Event%
%Location%
please help
which lockscreen app r u using?? doesnt that app have this facility?

[Q] Google Now - No Notification icon shows up

Hi,
I'd like to know if it's actually default google now behaviour or not. When ever weather cards / traffic updates show up, I only get to know about it if i pull down the notification panel. No icon (the car and the cloud) appears on the status bar. Is there any way to enable this? I notice it appearing only when I select it via the halo (Nexus 4 - ParanoidAndroid / CrDroid] Is it like this for everyone?
Thanks.

I'm specifically speaking about these kind of notification icons. They never appear!

Unknown icon after upgrading to KitKat

I upgraded to KitKat earlier today and now I see a new icon that I don't recognize. Can someone let me know what the icon to the left the alarm icon is in the notification bar?

Thanks, apparently I didn't look at the toggle menu items closely enough.

But, if you wanna see all notifications in expanded form, you may try Xposed Settings and install the module called Wanam Kit or Theme Manager. These have the options mentioned.

Notification history

Anybody figured out how to view your past or accidentally lost notifications? On other phones you would make a settings shortcut widget for notification history but I don't see that option on this phone. Help?
Late reply i know but i was able to get notification log open on my ZTE Axon 7
First you need Nova Launcher (or something that allows you to shortcut "activities")
Create a widget
Select "Activities" under the nova launcher section and drag it to your home screen
another window will popup, scroll down to Settings
then scroll down to "Notification Log"
and it should look something like this when you open it
