This is another one of the apps i have been working on lately, it allows you to Change your MotoActv's DPI to three options
-90 dpi (my personal favorite)
-100 dpi
-stock (120 dpi)
notable features:
-Stays on reboots
-Dpi sticks even when app is uninstalled (through build.prop method)
-simple 3-button menu with easy to read insturcions
simple as that, requires a ROOTED MotoActv with working SuperUser, and has only been tested and confirmed on ClearD's ClearRom (and my personal mod of it released on his thread)
feel free to include this in ANY MotoActv rom(with or without credits, since credits are in almost all my apps), as it should work universally for them, but not recommended for phones, ad the dpi is WAAAAYYYY too small for em lol

it works fully with working SuperUser, im getting my github in order and im going to make it open source, right now im figuring out a good way to do my github arrangement, as the old one didnt work well apparently i cant make the projects ina sub-folder without it counting as a whole project lol
but its simple and uses open-source librarys that were featured on xda-developers' protal not too long ago, im adding credits to it once i get ym github in order =)

idk i never messed with the layout of the stock launcher =S, it might work, but things like the volume slider will not be able to fix easy, as its rom-sided, but the DPI is mostly how it reads to the screen, so unless its a .9.png image it wont stretch unless its setup with different images so unless someone modifies the launcher with those fixes, u will have to get used to the misaligned icons or goto stock when u want it to look desent, as its only a button tap away but im testing some mods for the ReActv rom atm, i love using CLEARDROID alot, but untill he gets a stable build made for me to implement my mod pack imma mod mine with Reactv for a bit untill then, i already got it rooted(as for some reason superuser wasnt working in my flash, so i used a different exploit), testbuild init.d, my mod_pack items+scripts, removed unneeded system apps+Ringtones+files, removed items leading to some battery drain(from missing cellular anteaneas), and working on native screenshot at this minute acually lol so im kinda busy, along with mods to my app SMS Tasks trying to make it work better w/o root through custom recovery making it a system-signed system app for non-root reboots+More Reliable gps Toggle features
If you want to fix the stock launcher when running a custom DPI, then I'd suggest you go to here:

and install the xposed app as well as xposedappsettings. Then you can simply set the motoactv stock apps to run at 120dpi as they were intended, while everything else can run at whatever you default to. It can be used to fix some other apps that crash at specific DPIs or screen orientations too.

I'm unable to download from the Play Store, but flashing apk's via ADB is working fine. If you still have it would you mind sharing the APK for this DPI app?

Hello. I just got the China version of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N9100).
It doesn't come with a Google Play store. How do I go about installing the Google Play Store?
I downloaded the 5.0.32 version apk of Google Play store, and I installed it.
But when I run it, it closes or crashes. I found that apk by searching these forums.
So I was wondering if I needed to do something to make it work?
For HTC One I simply looked up Google gms in the HTC Marketplace and installed it, which ended up adding all of the Google stuff (including Google Play).
The Note 4 phone comes with a Galaxy Apps, but searching inside it does not have a Google Play installer (nor Google gms equivalent).
So my question is:
Do I need to root my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in order to get Google Play to run? It currently closes or crashes when I try to run it.
Did I install an incompatible apk for my Samsung Galaxy Note 4?
Again I am referring to the China version of Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N9100 model)
Hi, I have the same problem also. SM-N9100 does not support google play store, youtube, etc. I guess all china andriod phones is banned from access these apps. The only way out is to install another rom. Please let me know if a suitable rom is available. Thanks.

In have the same issue. I rooted my N9100 and installed Google play services, google services framework onto the system / app folder. Changed the file permission to a system app but still wasn't able to get it running. There's an error that says the Google services framework can't be run. Maybe I install a wrong version ? Anyone can shed some light and point me to the right apk ?
There are two ways to do it

You CANNOT uninstall google framework and other bloatware once gms is installed
If you live in China and don't have VPN, don't even bother with since its all blocked
No success with Method 2 on the Note 4 (9106w). It installed it but I kept getting a Google Frameworks Stopped working error. I was able to log into my Google Account and open the Play Store but could not get a network connection. In the end I disabled Google Frameworks.
Will try to flash TWRB with Odin tomorrow.

I downloaded a 44+ mb file. After unzipping it on my phone I saw a folder with many files. Did you move all the files into similar folders on your phone? I installed the apk packages and regretted it. No success so I imagine I should be using adb to push them to the proper folders.
Any hints would be helpful.

Can I check with you which Samsung note 4 model do you have and worked ? I am using Samsung Note 4 model N9100 (rooted) and just tried the link you provided i.e. V1.5. I got the same problem. After rooting and install V1.5, I can install and open the google playstore. But there are nothing in the playstore..except retry icon.
I flashed banks core gapps and have no problem at all. Banks core gapps also help me save a bit of battery because it install non of bloats

Few questions about future software updates (Lollipop) since I've been away from Samsung for a while:
1. Rooting will trip Knox, right?
2. If yes, OTA updates won't work - would I still be able to flash via Odin or CWM?
Not sure if I will definitely root yet due to warranty issues so soon after buying.
As noted above, Google stuff here is a pain at times even with a VPN (location options don't work so Google Now is less useful).
Plus, I've become used to getting apps from the Samsung and Amazon stores instead.

Edit: Installed like normal app. Works fine!
Tried installing as normal app on my Note 3 running stock 5.0 Lollipop, but gives "App not installed" even after signing with Zipsigner
Edit: I know this is a Cross Sony device thread but usually the apps I try from it work on my Note 3 without rooting (sometimes requiring Zipsigner) =P It would be interesting if you can port it to other Lollipop running devices as well =)

Would be nice to see FlymeOS 5.2 stable with everything working on ZUK Z1,
Unfortunately only Chinese developers are working on developing ROM's for the ZUK Z1 and interacting with them is quiet difficult due to the language.

only ZUI is stable, fast and updated regularly for ZUK. You must try ZUI. FlymeOS for Meizu smartphone, never working perfect for ZUK.
Even Cyanogen OS- the official version for international ZUK is also not stable. lastest COS have many bugs, and they almost forget ZUK, they only care One Plus One

ZUI is smooth and fast, I like it but my problem was in:
(1) getting Google apps installed/working (Play Store, Gmail, Maps, ...etc).
(2) getting push notification was random/slow/delayed.
(3) lock screen notification not well organized as new notification remove old ones!
(4) some Chinese here and there even when English is selected (Weather app for example).
Also there is no clear guide (in English) on how to flash ZUI coming from the international version.

i converted from COS to ZUI. I dont root, dont install Google. Because i think i can live without Google.
1./You can use Boxer (from Cyanogen OS), this app better than Gmail, Here map with offline and navigator better than Google Maps....Facebook, Whatapps, Onedrive, Twitter...can work without google service too.
2./If notification from app delay, you can set off in battery optimazing (the feature of Marshmallow).
3./Lockscreen notification not good, i agree. But this is not inportant for me. Just use onetouch to unlock (even screen off), and you can see all notification on stt bar.
4./ very easy, use Qfil flash ZUI, and then update lastest version by two method: sdcard update or ZUI recovery
PS: without Google and Google service, yourphone have a best battery use !

i have zui with google play all services. you can search in market zui app google services and install it. after that just download google play store apk download from internet and everything it's working.

is the last version: 1.6.348 . is not rooted, but you can install a rooted one already.
push notification are working if you set those application to whitelist, autostart... from security center. you must play a little bit with those settings

Hi, can you provide us you feedback about contacts sync? My Z1 was originally on ZUI but i never can get conctacts sync correctly (when modify someone on contacts ZUI try to write a new contact on their own cloud service, not gmail). So a moved to COS.

For me, the best resources were http://bbs.zuk.cn/z1 and http://bbs.zuk.cn/zui. Use google translate. you can find rooted, pre-rooted,official links.. In xda-developers was some thread to convert cos to zui..

I bought the honor v9 in Macau last week. It is beautiful, but useless as google services are not available, so currently all I can do is use it as a paperweight
Is there a way I can add google account info, play store and services, or is there maybe a standard android rom I could use ?
I've tried adding the corresponding apks to no avail.

Just type Google to hiapp and download the playstore.
Also you must download contacts and calendar sync and give all the permissions.

Thanks for your reply, I've tried that after a factory reset but it doesn't work. The play store doesn't start, it opens but stays blank, can only see it when i press the open applications button.
Previously i had tried to duplicate my honor 8 using huawei's clonephone app, everything (all apps) was transferred but no Google app works. I think it is because Google Play services is missing, and I can't find it on hiapp (and google doesn't show the honor v9 in my list of phones so i can't do it online).
Previously i had also used apks to install the whole suite in the right order, same problem every time. Some apps open but entering my Google id is always impossible.
I guess I should root the phone to install gapps, but given that it is very recent i haven't found and instructions to root this model.
I'm running out of ideas
Looks like that you shouldn't buy phone in China, if you want to use google services. Maybe you can download google play apk from apkmirror.com, for example and then install it from sd card?
Go to the Hiapp download GMSinstaller (will uninstall all google service instances and reboot). After that download playstore for the hiapp market and you are good to go.

Maybe you can install Google with Google installer for the Xiaomi device I think that might work
Very hard...haha, you open hiapp, install gms, open it, auto reoot, after you open hiapp again and install google play store, open it, done.

I've had this phone for a few days, loving it, but even with the help above to get Google services, Im having real issues with syncing, Google play store having problems authenticating me etc etc...I've removed and added my Gmail account 20 times already but still a struggle. Any help on that would be awesome? And as a bonus if anyone knows how to stop Hivoice hijacking Google assistant as the 'assist' app that'd be awesome too

Just install below official software it gonna facilitate google family apps on your phone
GMSInstaller.apk and package name com.huawei.gmsinstaller.apk

It will work but keep in mind if you do full update you need to install GMSinstaller again which it need to remove all current google app then facilitate google service after that you need to install software again!
