Sorry if this has been posted before, I didn't know what to search for.
I ran the motochopper and it went through perfectly. Well, the first time it said failure because I already had superuser.apk, but then the second time I uninstalled SuperSU and cleared data for superuser and that time it went through without a hitch. But I'm not rooted and I don't know why.
I tried master resetting twice and I cleared the cache partition as well, but no luck. I can't seem to root my Razr Maxx HD. Any ideas?

I have a similar problem. All the lines I get match except, mine says sucess, however I still do not have root access. I havet tried pushing the su files, deleting superuser and, disabling super user. but since I had a broken root nothing seems to work and now I have no root. I'm still looking on other threads to find a solution. I'll post back if I find something.

I rooted my phone previously and then saw that DL09 was available, so i decided to upgrade. once i upgraded i had to root the phone again and havent been able to since..the phone goes through all the steps in the one click root process and once it restarts after about 2 seconds i unlock it on the lock screen and it freezes up and the root fails..here is what it says when i try to root.

I've heard it doesn't on stock DL09, rage.bin is all we have as of now
until adrynalyne saves the day again
I had a pretty easy time rooting my phone using the terminal on my Mac. No drivers to worry about that way. Pretty much uses adb. Maybe try installing cygwin on your pc, and find the mac/linux rooting procedure. If I were a PC user, I think that would be the route I would take.
Just posted on another report of this. The one clickroot worked for my phone after updating to DL09.
I had the same exact error message you have. I let it sit for almost ten minutes and it did complete. I was getting frustrated as well because it was not working and i was at work when i was trying to do this.
If you were already rooted, why on earth did you go for the OTA instead of flashing one of the DL09 packages?
There's no magic in downloading from Verizon, you know. Same software.
i didnt do the ota update i flashed it..i havent had a chance to try and root again but for some reason now im not able to send or receive sms.
I was able to edit the START_ROOT.bat file so the it would pause for 120 seconds instead of 60 seconds after the first phone reboot. Then, after the reboot, unplug the USB from the phone and reconnect it. I'm not sure if this will work for everyone, but it worked for me.

Worked for me. Must unplug after first reboot.
Your sms problem may be solved by flashing the DL09 modem if you haven't already.

I did the same thing and it worked for me as well. I was running DJ05 previously and after upgrading to DL09 I had to update the Samsung Drivers on my PC. I was prompted to install the new drivers after connecting my fascinate to my and selecting the option to copy files to my PC. After updating the drivers I was successfully able to root my phone using "Dirrk's EZ Root v0.2 (Sebastien Krahmers Exploit)" and disconnecting/reconnecting the USB cable after the first reboot.

Hey,
I tried several times to root my thinkpad tablet with the Thinkpad Tablet Root Exploit but only got "Exploit failed".
Unfortunately the thinkpadforums.com is currently down so I couldn't search for solutions.
The Tablet is connected to the PC and I can see the device in adb. It's also connected to a WIFI network.
I also tried to make a factory reset -> "Exploit failed"
I don't know what to do and hope you can help me.
Thanks

Hey,
because the thinkpadtabletforum was down I couldn't see the instructions for the Android SDK.
I forgot
Code:
3.3 At the end of the install chose to run the Android SDK Manager.
3.4 You will need the following package for the TPT:
-Android SDK Tools
[B]-Android 3.1 (API 12)[/B]
-Extras > Google USB Driver package
Check the status column for each and if is not installed select the check box beside the packages and click the Install Packages button.
3.5 If you get a Dependencies List select the Accept All radio button and click the Install button.
I hope this helps you.
Trekky
Don't believe what your c prompt says. I've heard a lot of folk saying theirs looked like it failed, but they have root access now. Check to see of you have access to your root directory with Root Explorer, ESFile Explorer, or another app that requires root. You also may need to download SU and Terminal from Market.
Hey,
I have the same problem. I started off with a factory reset.
I can see my device in adb. It is connected to a WIFI network, it is connected by USB, the screen is on, USB debugging is also switched on. I got all the needed packages in Android SDK [except the Google TV Addon which can be found under Android 3.1 --> it says: "Not compatible with Windows"]

And yes, I am aware that for some people, although they experienced some errors as well, the root worked just well. I do not seem to be one of the lucky ones.
I don't know what I can do anymore. I followed all the steps, everything works except that stupid root.
Edit: I think this has to do with the firmware update which came in during the last days. I installed the update and tried the root just afterwards but got the same "Exploit failed" result. That was the reason why I did a factory reset in the first place.
Sorry dude, the latest update fixed the exploit. The only thing you can do now is wait till some one finds a new exploit. Either that or haope that your micro usb port breaks and then get the main board replaced as that will likely be on old version you can then do the root again, that's hoping the service engineer is feelkng helpful and run all the updates for you.
Cheers

The djrbliss exploit has been patched from the 75 update. As you are on the 86 update it will not work. Go to www.thinkpadtabletforums.com for a more recent exploit that works on your update.

I've installed it in recovery mode, wipe/cache, battery discharge and then reboot.

If you successfully enter recovery, a log is generated in /cache/recovery titled "last-log". The explicit details of the update procedures are appended to this log. That is where you'll be able to find the error causing your update to fail. Most likely, you have missing or altered files in your system directory. The update confirms the sha1 checksum of each stock apk etc on your phone.

Re-root after OTA update
I had the same problem. You may need to replace 2 files in teh motofail2go. The "su" and the "Superuser.apk". XDA wouldn't let me paste the exact links I used. Google "how to root razr m" and go to first site. Read a little of that and follow the instruction on replacing those 2 files. After replacing those files, follow the same root procedure. I was successful on the first try.
