UPON REQUEST - Custom TF3D Twist - Black & Color Theme (Custom TF3D Twist - Black & Color.zip)
Black and white tf3D icons when tab is not selected and colored when selected
Note that this looks best WITHOUT the 3icon menu from NisseDILLIGAF and a transparent slider. (if you have the 3icon menu the icons on the slider will not be coloured when selected!)
Any screenshot pls??
huh? screenshot is included above....
edit: added screenshot as an attachment in case you cant see the one from photobucket
Yep I see it now....sorry got sometimes little problems with display style
Very nice coloured icons will try in few moments...thx for sharing mate
Nice one Giannis! Could you make the icons black and white when inactive and colored when selected?

I dont have a screenshot for it as i have NisseDILLIGAF's 3icon menu. This disables the active tab icon on the slider to avoid the overlapping of icons when using a transparent slider.
Anyway this should do the job (check attachment)
good job man

This question is a corollary to my question here on 18-12-2008. I see that this set of tab icons allows for a different tab icon to be displayed when it's the active tab. It seems as though this explains my issue where the icon of the active tab is always my default icon (see attached image). How do I change it so that the icons don't revert to default when active?
And yes, I get that the snowflake icon doesn't really jive with the Tampa weather of 68 degrees in the background, but what can I say...I love the tab icons.
sweet you stole the icons... original
@Brett8187
what are you talking about?no1 made a tf3d icon theme with these icons...i just used png icons from various icon sites. If you dont like that dont download the theme. Search for my own custom glossy icons instead
@moldhamXDA
so wait, this theme displays properly and the blue and white not?
it should work properly as they are the same manila files except with different icons.
i suggest that you try installing the theme again and see if it works afterwards (try after a Diamod TF3D config default theme restore).
If it still doesnt work i can only think of 1 solution.
install the 3icon menu from nisse..This removes the active tray icon which essentially means that the normal tray icon will be displayed instead of the active tray icon.
I bite my thumb at Alltel's default theme

Sorry for the confusion. None of the following--blue & white icons, the fire icons, and the icons on this post--display the active tab icon properly on the slider; the active icon is always my default icon. You'll see in the first attached image that when I installed the icons on this thread, the active icon is still my default image on the slider, although, as with all three sets of icons mentioned above, the hero is displayed appropriately at the center of the screen when sliding. When I installed the 3 icon set by nisse, I got no icon (2nd attached pic). And I tred multiple soft resets and re-installations after restoring to my default theme using diamond tf3d config multiple times.
As a test, I installed the HTC_Black theme and then your icon sets, and the icons displayed appropriately--that is, the active icon was correct (aka, not my default icon but the icon from your set). It seems, then, to be specific to my default theme from Alltel. Given that my phone has unbearable lag when running the HTC_Black theme (and very little lag when running the default theme), I couldn't keep it that way... Unfortunately, I have no clue which of my original manila files is preventing the active tab icon on the slider from being replaced. I'm open to suggestions. I really appreciate your time!
This is the first release of iShell. As such, there may be some bugs. If you find one, post it here, send me a PM or whatever - I want to fix them!
iShell supports Gecko and AppToDate (0.27 needs to be updated via a cab and not through AppToDate due to a change in host)!
What is it?
Currently, it's a fairly basic launcher application, built on the foundation of my "iProphet" ROMs, in the style of the iPhone. It also has "widgets" (currently one, the clock) which aim to replace other applications and so integrate as much functionality as possible.
Press the end call button to exit.
Requirements:
WM5 or above
Anything bar square screens...
400kb free RAM and 400kb free ROM.
Change log:
0.32 - Lots of changes. More efficient routines for most things, uses l3v5yExtendedFunctions to reduce code size, faster loading
0.31 - Added iShellPopulate, thanks to supbro
0.30 - Widgets!!!! Updated registry settings (images are 50x50 for QVGA, 100x100 for VGA), lots of little changes, faster loading, bug fixes, cleaner code...
0.28 - splash screens, some fixes, better drawing routine
0.27.1 - fixes some bugs
0.27 - Multiple screens, directly customisable application launching, faster performance due to bitblts rather than strecth blits (can enable scaling in HKCU\Software\l3v5y\Stretch, and transparency in HKCU\Software\l3v5y\Transparency), true VGA for vga-devices, completely rewritten loading, drawing and app database code.
0.25 - The cab now asks whether you want to use the default settings. Select yes if you haven't got a version installed...
0.24 - Adds customisable position of warning bubbles (for unread SMS, EMail etc), rounding of warning icons is better, and some bugfixes.
0.23.2 - Finally fixes the analogue clock!
0.23 - Fixes the clock, the battery in VGA, and settings should now be persistent for future upgrades.
0.22 - customisable backgrounds have arrived, along with custom text colours and some bug fixes.
0.21 - now supports VGA and WVGA/WQVGA, changing the TransitionSpeed actually works now.
0.2 - Bug fix - SMS now loads the correct path, and you are asked whether you wish to run iShell after the install.
0.1 - Release
Coming soon:
Landscape
More widgets
Square screens
Some other things...
Maybe happening:
3rd party widgets

This is written in C++, so doesn't need .NET CF and should be faster.
It's my take on the iPhone interface, and I just felt like doing it!
You don't have to use it, but try it and see...
i will wait for vga version!
same for me, I run on a diamond so I need vga.
looks great anyway

Should work on a storage card.
The SMS button may not always work.
To fix it, edit the App1Parm string to
"-service "SMS"" without the outermost quotemarks.
I'll try and fix it, but the issue is there due to the way the cab creation works.

Odd...
I submitted it earlier, it's possible it hasn't yet been added to the active database - I haven't checked. If I hear anything I'll let you know.
One thing to check though, have you updated the database?
I updated database! Yes!
I can't wait until this application gets developed more!!
Its awesome, just needs more features.
BTW, I added this app to touch-innovation for you
Today I began to make an old idea into reality: a new, lightweight launcher.
The basic idea was derived from iPhone: an easy-to-use menu, without a home screen (thus light-weight).
So basically, this won't be the favorite of the people, as it does not include widget support, or anything like that. Just a bunch of icons, and a bottom dock (what is editable of course).
After mixing the good features of the latest launchers (ADW, LauncherPro, TouchWiz, original Froyo, Donut launchers), I came to a feature list:
- Pages of icons instead of a list
- Page indicator dots (top or bottom)
- Icons get background like iOS (or like TouchWiz)
- Icons are placed based on position - new app goes to the end (not alphabetically ordered - like in TouchWiz3 Launcher, layout loaded from an XML file)
- A nice clock screen (this one is my idea - to have a clean area, where are no icons, just a clock, maybe with weather and music player, and with notifications)
- Use labels if possible (so the GMail account will have an incoming messages circle at the top, just like messaging and Phone (for missed calls, etc).
- Customization by skins - icons can be replaced with a custom theme, and this time, the app icons aren't loaded (lightweight!!!!)
- Customization by settings - select layout style (4/4 or 4/5 icon layout, page indicator position and color)
- Settings backup to SD card
After this list, I made a little mockup what shows how I imagined iLauncher:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
What you can see here:
- The basic layout
- Page indicator circles on top (first page - clock, second page (current) - icons, third page -icons)
- Incoming indicators on icons (GMail and messaging)
- Running background process indicator (Google Talk is running in the bg)
What you can't see here:
- Icon labels - it will be the usual icon label, nothing really big change
- Icon backgrounds - when the mockup was made, I did not decide whether to have them or not
- Anything else I forgot to include
Then, when the mockup was ready, I began working on the code.
As a beginning, I took a look at android-7's (Android 2.1 update 1) samples, namely the Home sample (actually, the whole current AppInfo/AppIcon class is from there). That gave a pretty nice look over the stuff, so I grabbed what I needed (the icon classes) and began working on the bottom dock.
More will come as I develop each bit of the app!
Please note:
I do NOT need help in this. This journal is merely a share of my experience what I got coding iLauncher. Any time I code a bit of it, I add here what I did, and what happened after.
If you want to help me even I told you I don't need it, you can do so by collecting tutorials, code samples on these:
- The (not so) random icon background - still haven't figured out how to add them based on icon color, etc
- The paging system (the whole page system, flipping around, needs to be done)
- Notification labels
I will test it for you.

Note about the Android Auto Stats Widget:
-I'm going to leave the three rectangles Module OnTap to Zooper configuration so you can adjust yours accordingly, as my setup is specific to my phone/account.
-My choice/suggestion:
--First rectangle is linked to a Contact Shortcut which happens to be a Road Assistance company that I subscribe to.
--Second is linked to a Google Drive shortcut (a Sheet I've setup with Oil change and Service info - It takes a while to load though)
--Third is linked to a Tasker shorcut that simply displays my cars next MOT test date.
Issues:
-Possible lag.
--On Zooper's account maybe too many Module OnTaps and the Background bitmaps.
--Media Utilities Cover Art and overall function?
--Maybe too many Popup widgets?
I don't know but bitmaps and Cover Art are partly responsible.
-Battery icon shows as full when at 10% level.
-I'm not entirely happy with Media Utilities and Simple Dialer Widget. They haven't been updated for 6 months and 1 year respectively.
Possible Improvements:
-Reduce lag.
-Fix battery icon.
-Dock Icons to change from grey to colored when pressed instead of being always colored.

Great Idea!
Just a FYI, a few of us have been actively trying to develop stuff for this Android Head Unit.
This would be a great fit for an overlay on the device. I think some users took a look at this post. (Because I linked it on there) and are struggling to make it fit due to the resolution difference. Unfortunately.
Just wanted to let you know.
