sms text messages are not showing up in the main conversation window. how ever they are being received to the handset and i can read them from the notification to a certain amount of characters and i can see the latest message before the main conversation window.
nexus 4 android 4.2.2.
First bug is more important to me.
Second bug is a software screen error (it is not the screen itself that is at fault)
I have small moving lines just below the clock. it shows up all the time 2 or 3px height and from battery to the right of the screen. seemingly random moving lines. blue/black. any rotation/screen shot still shows this error so as i said it rules out that its a screen issue/dead pixels.
- see attachment.
note: restarting my phone does not fix any of those two bugs.
p.s. my english skills are not great so sorry about grammar.
Thanks in advance - James.P

Hi there,
In the threading sms messaging application I have several sms-threads. On some of them one or more single sms messages aren't completly displayed and the date/time stamp is across the text :S
I searched the forum but it seems that I'm the only one with the problem. Why is this happing? Do any of you have a solution or a work around?
Thanks in advance!
Have got a displaying issue as well on my HD2... It doesn't display any messages or communication history, as soon as you tap the screen to see the history or the message (with the white background) the screen just goes black! I can still open the keyboard, but it's no use typing cause you can't see what you're typing! Crap! The 'messaging' menu shows 'more' on the left, but I can't open that... even if I'd tap it all day!
After problems with the audiomanager_eng.exe (fixed thanks to the great developers on this forum btw) and the HTCalbumblablabla.exe, the crappy battery and more bugs I've encountered in nearly 2 weeks I now am getting the idea I should have gone for a N900 or Samsung Omnia II... Really gutted about this, especially after reading so many complaints and problems other users have encountered.
I really hope HTC will fix all current (and future) issues soon cause having so many unhappy customers won't be what they were aiming for, would it?
when a new message is coming, a green baloon appears on the message tab (sense).
i must stay on the new message about 4 second for mark it "read".
is it possibile to reduce this delay?

I hope there's a solution for this.
Hi, One way is if you click on the Messages Home Screen tab with the green balloon you are then taken to the message, clicking on the message takes you to the conversation thread and hides the Messages Home Screen tab. If you hit the Back key straight away you are taken to the previous screen and the Messages Home Screen tab has been refreshed (no green balloon). That saves you about three and three quarters of a second (depending on your finger speed ). Damn, I had never considered this a problem, now you've got me thinking
I do as said there, open it and close it (same with emails)...altho it would be nice to set it to 0secs as I do in Outlook 2007
First of all, I have the US version of HD2.
When I receive a new text message, I click on the text itself. Then click on the white space that labeled "tap to add text" to reply. Now it brings up the keyboard on the bottom of the screen. When I start typing, the texts don't usually show up on the screen right away. Sometimes the phone will freeze. Do any of you guys have the same problem? If so, how do I fix that?
Thanks in advance.
::bump:: any feedback on this would be great
happens to me also, i noticed if you click 2 times to add text it usually prevents this.
Hey guys, I've searched around for some answers to this but couldn't find any
Problem 1:
I can't send texts larger than 1 message (160 characters). Well, I can send them, but nobody receives them. I even tried sending them to myself but they never came through. I can receive them however? It's really annoying having to copy and paste parts of the message into separate messages. Any idea on a fix?
Problem 2: If I open out the keyboard, the display will shift horizontally (as it should), with the bottom menu (Apps-Phone-Personalize) bar shifting along with it. However, when I close the keyboard, everything shifts back vertically, except for the Apps-Phone-Personalize bar. It just stays on the side and gets in the way of things. Strange.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Also, my phone keeps randomly turning off for no reason. Even if the batts charged. Could this be because of the rom?

Click to collapse
these problems are common.
1) use RMK's RIL matcher, it worked for me
2) this is becuase its for DHD and they dont have native rotating. you can try search for the rotating rosie, but you may lose the theming.
I have a question that would seemingly be simple to answer, but it's proving to be quite perplexing. I've searched everywhere but have been unable to find a solution or any reference to this issue whatsoever. I even called AT&T, and AT&T technical support didn't know what to do.
Basically, I notice that, whenever I receive a text message, take a screenshot, or any other action really, a pop-up message appears in a dark-grey box at the bottom of the screen. For a text message, it will read: "SMS Received: <Then the Content of the Message>." When I take a screenshot, a notification (at the bottom of the screen) will appear that reads: "Copied to Clipboard." These notifications are intrusive and annoying because they slow down the other operations of the phone. Everything else gets delayed. So if I'm in a texting conversation with someone, my reply to said person is delayed while the phone displays a notification at the bottom of the screen. I can't type my response while this action is taking place. Please note that this notification at the bottom of the screen is in addition to the notification that occurs in the status bar at the top of the phone.
I have searched everywhere in the phone settings for a reference to this feature and, in turn, a way to turn it off; but I have been unsuccessful. Can anyone please tell me how to turn off this troublesome notification feature?
Attached to this request, I have included a screenshot to illustrate the matter to which I'm referring. Please notice that, at the bottom of the screenshot, the words "Copied to Clipboard" are displayed. This is the pop-up that occurred after I had taken a screenshot of the home screen. Thank you for whatever assistance you may be able to provide.
