I wrote a whole guide about this - I know you said you searched but it is in theme section easy to find
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2204389

Just go to my theme in my sign
I have created many types of statusbars including transparent ones for my theme in the addons post...
Should work well on any rom except stock and cm7
Go there and see the updates and addons post

[Q] Status Bar Modification

Hey everyone,
I love customising my phone.. every week it has a completely new look..
However, Now I want to mod my Status Bar.
It's currently default CM10 (Black with Blue Text), and I would love to be able to have it white with black text.
I know that I can probably modify SystemUI.apk (I already have the tools to modify it), but I'm not sure WHERE it needs editing to change the status bar colours.
Is there an app/online theme creator for JB which can easily help me (I already have framework.jar and SystemUI.apk decompiled).
The few theme creators online that I have found seem to be for lower android versions (2.1/2.2).
Thanks

I think you meant UOT Kitchen.
I have something similar I want to do, and I don't think UOT Kitchen will be able to help me.
The problem with those is that they just 'draw over' the status bar... With JB roms, the notification bar gets messed up.

The top half of the clock gets covered by them..

[Q] expanded statusbar

I'm using a semi-transparent background for my statusbar, but I don't like how it looks when I drag down the notification area.
How do I make the highlighted area's background black ONLY when the notification area is pulled down?

- dec systemui
- open statusbar.xml in res/layout
- find:
PHP:
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.DateView android:textAppearance="@*android:style/TextAppearance.StatusBar.Icon"
Change android:textColor to "#ffff0000"
- save and recomplie, sign apk.
- rename, change permission to 644 and move systemui to system/app again.

[Q] Status bar icons hidden on lockscreen

First post here, I hope you don't mind...
Model: SM-G900F
Android Version: 5.0
No root, everything is by default
Since the lollipop update I'm having trouble with the icons in the status bar .
As you can see in the attached file, the icons are all visible when unlocked, but on lockscreen the icons on the left are hidden.
The name of my carrier (mobistar) used to be in the left bottom corner... Any idea how I can fix this?

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I have found a way to completely remove the carrier name on this site: HERE
But this method removes it. I would like to keep it on the lockscreen, but on another place. Is this possible?
[Guide How-to] Remove Lockscreen Carrier
This removes the lockscreen carrier text.
Keyguard.apk smali edit:
smali/com/android/keyguard/CarrierText.smali:
Change if-nez to if-eqz in the indicated edit in BLUE:
Code:
.method private static concatenate(Ljava/lang/CharSequence;Ljava/lang/CharSequence;)Ljava/lang/CharSequence;
.locals 5
const/4 v2, 0x1
const/4 v3, 0x0
invoke-static {p0}, Landroid/text/TextUtils;->isEmpty(Ljava/lang/CharSequence;)Z
move-result v4
[COLOR="RoyalBlue"]if-eqz[/COLOR] v4, :cond_1
move v0, v2
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
I totally want this too. Not being able to see the icons on the lock screen is totally counterproductive.
