Having 1-3 "app stopped" a day... - Galaxy Note II General

I have been using my note for a week or so and I experience almost every day 1 or more apps just freeze and then I get the app stopped message.
I did have some of this on my old s3 to. Is this normal? Is this just bad apps? I haven't rooted or anything. And I'm just using apps from play store.

Yes, something is making those apps crash. Have you tried wiping the cache in recovery, and uninstall and reinstall the apps that crash.

It will not affect your apps. Turn the phone off. Then press Volume up + menu + power simultainiously and you will come in recovery. Then select wipe cache and and reboot. You might read up a bit about your phone here on XDA

Download "emmc check" from Google Play Store.
Run it.
It will tell you if you have a phone with failure prone Flash memory. Apps crashing and such can be a sign that your Flash memory is going to fail.

That's assuming he even has rooted his phone and has rooted his phone and has CWM installed.
I would do what dr m0x said first. And update to 4.1.2 if you haven't already.

You can wipe cache from the factory recovery but I doubt that will help. There is no way, absolutely no way at all, that 1-3 apps should be crashing every day on an unmodified and correctly functional phone.
It could be bad apps but only if it's the same couple of apps crashing every time. I've had a couple of apps crash on my note but only in rare and isolated cases - it's far from a regular occurrence.

BlackMarket, nova launcher. i think thats it
I to am getting this error and have no idea on how to fix it. I have cleared both caches. If it helps I'm rooted on MDC and have the oedex wifi mod installed.
I got that error for one application when it was trying to be updated in the Play store - Android Tuner. I got around it by using ES explorer and deleting the odex file then reattempting app update.
I have 6.2 GB free and I am unable to update or install apps.
I have wiped dalvik and rebooted.
Update: this is apparently only an issue for updating apps. Also if I unistall and try to reinstall it will throw the error message.
I had installed Modern Combat 4 but it ate up my storage. I uninstalled and move clockwork and all my cached wallpapers to the sd card.
The apps that I'm currently experiencing this issue with are google drive and vine.

[Q] Help after flashing

so i flashed my gs4 with the google version rom, it boot up fine, but then i turned off my phone and it will not boot anymore. i have to do a full factory wiped all the time to get it to boot...
So you flashed the rom, patched it, booted up, used it for awhile. Then turned it off and when you turned it back on it wouldn't boot without a factory reset? Weird. I'd try to reflash it doing all the wipes first and see if that works.

Yep, just downloaded version 1.3 of the rom, doing the same...just frozen at the samsung (unlock icon) screen that show up before the google boot up screen...
so just to make sure i am doing this correct:
i reboot to the TWRP recovery page, then do a full wipe, then install the rom.zizp, then install the loki.zip, then reboot system...right?

Well, give it another try. Re download the rom and Loki. When you download them look for a long alpha-numerical number that's on the download site. That's the md5. After you download the file you can check the file properties to see if the md5 is the same as what it said on the download site. You'll probably need a md5 checksum app if you don't already have one. If the md5's check out you know you got a good download. It's not uncommon that the download isn't good. If you use root explorer or a similar file manager on you phone, long pressing the file will let you check the files properties and you'll see the md5

what model number are you? what wipe functions are you currently performing?
if i was doing this atm, i would wipe data, cache, dalvik and system. flash rom and ktoonsez loki'd TouchWiz kernel if you're at&t. wipe data, cache and dalvik again. reboot. let the device sit a few minutes and reboot it to see if it successfully boots in.
Google Play Edition Stuck on Reboot
If you are stuck on the boot screen after flashing the ROM and rebooting, go into the recovery and wipe the cache partition and dalvik cache partition 5 times then reboot. Every reboot after this should be fine.

Solved [Q] AutoDroid Nexus 7 3G (Tilapia) Help

Hi everyone. Bare with me a little. I'm new at this and cannot post in ROM thread because I am a noob. I've done a lot of reading and learned how to pretty much break everything but I did manage to get it working again in stock form. I am trying to set everything up for AutoDroid and a car installation and cannot seem to get it working.
First things first, I successfully rooted the Nexus 7, installed custom recovery (TWRP), Installed SuperSU, installed the Kangaroo Kernel, and flashed the AutoDroid ROM. That's where I am at this point. The problem comes now where I don't have volume buttons on the nav bar and see no settings menu to change any options. I manually installed Power Event Manager and gave it access via SuperSU. The tablet doesn't go to deep sleep when removing power.
Current Settings:
*see attachment*
Does the tab need to be in host mode w/ OTG for PEM to work?
Where are the settings for the ROM?
If I don't have volume etc on nav bar does that mean it wasn't flashed properly?
What did I do wrong?
Sorry for all the beginner questions but I've gone thru hell with this. Have learned a ton tho. I managed to remove the OS and all recoveries so I had to reimage the tab w/ stock OS.
TL;DR: I suck at computers. I need help.

I was reflashing and factory wiping but it wasn't working. I went to Advance wipe in TWRP and wiped Dalvik, cache, system, and data and boom Worked! Guess Dalvik and factory wasn't enough. Pretty much followed install directions for Slimkat. Can't believe it took all this.
Thank you for all the help.
