Hi. Is any way to preset the stations on my Defy+ by name ("nitro radio" instead of "103,6")?

anyone know of a good radio tuner? I need something to listen to the local stations while on my way to work... Any recommendations?
if you have internet access, you can log into radio4pda (i believe that is the site name) and stream tunes, there's another really popular one, but the name eludes me at the moment (been a long day), also for a few bucks you can buy resco radio (just google it)...damn i wish i could think of the other site's name...it huge, has several genre's, and is streaming radio...someone help me out...am having a total brain-fart! I know the radio4pda offers "local" stations, as it is broken down by state, the others i'm not sure about.

The WIZ has no integrated radio tuner. The only one way of getting radio is over the internet (WiFI or GPRS - as mentioned in the previous post). If local channels are available online then there shouldn't be a problem - except your NETWORK PROVIDER is charging you lots of money for internet connection.
Other than that: there are some good radio applications out there. One of them: RESCO RADIO.
You can also try Shoutcast radio.com, or just do a Google search for free internet radio. I have about 30 stations downloaded to my Storage card under the folder I created as "My Radio". I can access the stations from GS player, TCPMP, or Windows media player. Most of these downloads are pls. files.

Hey there!
I want to listen to a specific radio channel (P3, a danish radio channel) but it just so happens, that i cannot find it preloaded in any radio apps, and they only broadcast in .wma.. So what i am looking for is an app, that will let me enter the URL for their stream (.pls) and then play it for me. I found radio apps that supposedly support .wma, but they don't allow for custom URLs. I also found apps that support custom URLs, but not wma..
Prease Halp!
Hi m8 - the app i use to stream nearly ANY type of radio station including wma is an app called Xiia Lite.
Ive blogged about it over at my blog

Its second on the list, inlcuding the barcode to get it! Happy scanning.
So question, i read some where that the slacker radio that is preloaded on the vibrant is different than the one from the market. Anyone know the differences? I work in a Cubical environment and use Slacker for about 3-4 hours every day however when i used it on my unlocked iphone i would use the fine tune option but i cant seem to find it on the Android one. Am i missing something?
I haven't seen anything different. Slacker does differ from platform to platform. So each one is a little different depending on the platform.

Hi folks
I'm after a nice radio application to use when I'm in my car, which applications do you use? I like Hardstyle, Country, Classical and 60's style.
Thanks
I use tunewiki
the best for me, better than "tunein" which takes time to fix the webradio
you can select your style of music with shoucast radio
Tuneinradio is the best..check it out
I like to set mine up to listen to the Virtual DJ radio streams.
The best player I have found for this is Retro Radio Streamer, basic but customise it the way I want it and it does the job.
Pandora here
IMHO: XiiaLive ist the best app for internetradio
TuneIn - my favourite.
yeah tunein radio is the best, just search for the station you want (uk or not) and listen, buffering only takes seconds and it tells you what show your listening too
hi xda, in the p9 lite music player if you swipe left the lyric page will show up, but is it always says No lyrics, how do i add lyrics? should the lyric been already implemented on the .mp3 file or can i add it manually!?
this is a kind of weird question as i don't think many people uses the lyric tab
You need to create a .lrc file with lyrics for specific song and write timestap and lyrics inside.
Try Lyrics Lookup in the App Store
