[Q] ICS stops working - not booting - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hi,
I installed ICS with the help of the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=939682.
Everything was working fine till yesterday when my mobile was shutdown improperly as battery charge was dried up.
Since then, I can't boot the mobile. Whenever I try to turn it on, it hanged in the first window with 3 times vibration (where it shows heading of MAGLDR version number).
Can any one please help me to resolve this issue or how to install it again from scratch?
Thanks,

Won't boot

Your device does boot. When you see that "MAGLDR heading" just hold the power button, magldr options will appear. Reflash ROM by going into AD Recovery.
If for some reason you cannot get to AD Recovery or MAGLDR isn't booting, hold down volume to go intro bootloader, reflash magldr and try again.

[Resolved] Blocked in Clock Work Mod

Hello, I have a problem with my tablet.
Yesterday I installed the ROM "Prime 1.4" with NVFLASH and I realized that the power button worked 1 out of 10.
This morning my tablet rebooted continuously without booting android, just boot animation.
To stop that, I held the power button and volume down to enter the recovery CWM but CWM not responding, I can not reboot my tablet, I tried to do a hard reset but it does not work, I do not know if it was because my power button has problems or if the tablet does not work at all.
Do you have any idea what can I do? I could bring it back to my dealer for my trade but it would remove recovery screen.
Thank you in advance for your solutions!
PS: Sorry for my bad english
Sounds like you had a "bad" flash. Try re-flash the ROM again.
I can't doing anything, i've CWM on the screen but it is blocked ... :/
You don't need CWM. You can re-flash follow this guide.
If you can't shutdown the device. Let your battery drain 100% and then charge it 50% and try again.
Yes but I can't exit from CWM, to reflash with NVFLASH I need to shutdown the device but I can't :/
But thanks for your reply.

Have you tried the 12second Power Button fix to turn the unit off?
If that doesnt work then you will have to wait until the battery runs out and turns off so you can plug the charger back in and try to unbrick it.
Mark.
Yes I tried but without results ...
It's OK, my Dealer gave me a new one.
Thanks for all

[Q] MAGLDR cant start

Hi,
I'm trying to flash my Omnia 7 with Dynamics v2.0 ROM. I have successfully flashed MAGLDR, but when I try to boot in this mode (<PWR>+<CAM>+<VOL DWN>) I'm stuck at the Clean Storage option. There are two options <WIN>Format and <BACK>Cancel, but the phone doesnt respond to neither of those. Back button isnt even lid and start/win button does nothing.
Tried with latest official firmware (phone relocked after connecting to new PC). Tried to restore 9.10.8107.79 (not even unlocked) via Zune, repeated the whole process, but still the same problem.
Edit:
Flashed I8700XENJK1 ROM, still the same issue. I'm really lost now.
I would be glad for any help.
Thank you
Sirius

Very strange problem. You are supposed to press back button at that screen to enter MAGLDR mode. Try flashing MAGLDR again.

I know, but the phone seems like frozen, doesn't react, I can't even reset the phone from that menu. Tried flashing MAGLDR many times with no luck.

I also had the same issue like you did.
I re-wrote everything into a FAQ. IF there's a problem anywhere, just reply in your thread. If its solved then the walkthrough is useful. If it doesn't get solved we'll just add your issue into the list and troubleshoot until it works.

wait. wait. wait.(on the screen)
1. 1/2 updating
2. 2/2 updating
3. big tick
4. restarting.
then it should restart. again, and again, and again. and it will continue to bootloop until it actually boots up successfully for the first time. Please remove battery, plug in usb cable then only perform the upgrade (YES, WITHOUT THE BATTERY!)
Tell me if it works this way.
Or, is the problem that is something like this:
1. Huawei logo shows
2. Huawei logo with some firework animation, then slows down, then complete freeze, then again reboot? and same thing happen?
erm, add on: i forgot.
Let's assume you have done all of the above, but the ROM again crashes spectacularly on its own... try doing this.
1. Remove battery
2. plug in usb cable.
3. press power ON and volume up button
it should be no more blue screen but a *<3E>* recovery.

Right, stay calm, this is easy to fix. Im not in pc so you need to do all work. Turn your phone in punkscreen mod after right click on my computer and click in tje second option (i dont remember the name :-s manage I think). On that window click on manage devience. Now on the line apears outher deviences look for android devience or huawei, right click and click update driver (on the first option)
I think after that you are ready to install the new recovery
I will fo rest for now I will wait a few mins for your reply and I will go sleep I'm tired with you don't fix your problem I promise you, tomorow I will help you

[Q] i9500 rebooting into s4 logo even download mode is rebooting

Do you run with stock or custom recovery? Have you tried to (re-)flash a custom recovery (CWM highly recommended)?

Hm, if I understand you correctly, you can boot into download mode but it just lasts a couple of seconds before it reboots on its own, right? You cannot boot into recovery as the screen simply stays black. Can you boot successfully into /system or does it bootloop as well?
Sounds like a hardbrick to me, the only thing I can think of before sending your phone in for repair is to pull out the battery for 1 hour or so, reinsert it and boot directly into download mode and see if it stays there. If it does, flash a custom recovery using Odin and check whether you can boot into it afterwards.

I think it has nothing to do with it
I'm, I was actually, on stock everything, rom, kernel and recovery

OK so I left my phone without a battery in it for the afternoon, just got back home and gave it a try.
It booted. No idea why or what actually went wrong.
Lets hope it doesn't happen again!
OK, So the point that the phone just start booting just the moment the battery is inserted got me thinking
IS IT THE POWER SWITCH?
and indeed it's, the power switch is stuck on, although I can feel the click when I push, still, seems like something is wrong with it
so I tried to suck it out, hit the phone softly few times while the power switch is facing the ground
inserted the battery, aaaand, it didn't start booting, pressed the power softly, and horaaaaay, it's working
Had the same issue and indeed I knocked the power button several times and it worked very well. Thank you! You saved my day

I have similar problem... and identified its power button.
How i identified is as phone switched on i hold menu button and volume down button together and
it booted in download mode, for download mode you have to keep pressing power button, volume
down button and menu button but it went without pressing power button.. so i assume that its power
button.
Try it... hope will identify your problem
same Problem
Hello!
I have the same problem, and disassemble the cell and saw that the button will operate properly .
Someone has managed to get out of this problem?
thanks a lot... i was facing same problem... i hit ma phn near power switch...again n again... it worked... love u xda
whoa, I just got this problem recently, because some of bezel around my phone has cracked, then I try to glue it roughly.
at the other hand, I tried to install new kernel. I tought that kernel make my phone bricked. then I found this thread. so I open my case. and found my glue sticked to the power button, remove it and. voilaaaa~
thank you XDA. you never cease to amaze me. lol

HELP - My phone is bricked - cannot load recovery mode... ;(

Hello,
I loaded my SM-G900F with a custom rom and it suddenly died... There is no way to switch it on and when I connect it to my laptop it shows QHSUSB_BULK under device manager. I read a lot of posts and I understand that I need an unbrick image to boot from an sd card. Is that the right thing to do?
I would really appreciate is somebody could help.
Thanks in advance!

What rom, and what version were you on when you started? Which recovery, and which version do you have loaded? What, exactly was the procedure you followed, and what version of which custom rom did you try to flash?

Hi hexavoodoomal!
Thanks for replying to my message. The ROM was Sixperience 7.0. I am not sure about the recovery... I am sure I had TWRP installed.
Everything was working fine. The ROM installed properly and worked with no problems for a couple of days but suddenly the phone died. I am sure that it was updating something from Samsung. ANT+ may be?
Can you help?
Thanks!!

I hope so. Can you boot into recovery by removing the battery, and waiting for 10 secs, replacing the battery, and depressing the volume down button, the home button, and the power on button all at the same time?

No. I cannot boot in recovery mode. I tried several times...
Volume down is download mode
Volume up is recovery
A ROM can not break download mode, it's hard coded into the hardware, if removing the battery hasn't worked, power it on, and hold the power button for 30 seconds, remove the battery for 30 seconds, replace and try again
Oops, ha-ha. I called it recovery' didn't I? My bad. Get into download mode, follow the prompt, get odin, and flash the stock ROM for your phone. You can find links to the latest firmware on this site. There are other sites that have it too, but yiur best served geting it here. That will get you back where you started.
