One thing is really great on every ipad:
Exit every app by grabbing the screen with 5 fingers.
Is that also possible on a Nexus 7?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I don't see why not...
With "Show Touches" and "Pointer Location" activated, it is possible to register five fingers at once.
I got to ten, but ran out of things to touch it with
Definitely possible, just need someone to develop an app for it
Peace,

possible, but if i may ask... isnt pressing the home button much easier/efficient? lol

It's not a matter of efficiency or usefulness.
Just a nice gimmick.

You could start by posting in the right section.
Then add a link to the feature you're requesting.

Im not a dev so i cant do it but here are some possible work arounds. You could assign take screenshot to one of the gestures in Apex Launcher so pinching in or two finger swipe would do it. Or I have it assigned in my navbar ring (i think most JB ROMS have this) its close to a gesture I just swipe up from the navbar and it takes a screen cap. Hope that at least gives you something similar until you can work out a real port.

Thanks for actually replying with helpful information! I'm new to xda sorta so when it comes to certain things I am completely lost, as I'll try your work around method! Still wondering if a port is possible

Hi, I'm getting Nexus 7 on Christmas, and I would like to ask some questions.
How's tablet mode with this tablet?
Any defects which are popular?
Are any game lagging? (I will play a lot I think)
If your on 4.1.2 you can change it to tablet mode or with a custom ROM. Mine has minor screen lift. Don't mind since I have accidental. And gaming is awesome!

I think I'll run PA, I had it on my One X and it was awesome. Thanks for the answer!
There are many people having defects.. but you exchange it untill you get a perfect one LOL
About tablet mode, I just tried it and I don't know which one I like most... I highly reccomend you to hide navigation screens and top bar, so you can get use of your screen at 100% and with gmd gestures you can go back forward recent applications move directly to homescreen etc...

I was using a custom ROM to move the navigation buttons but last week a few ROMs added swipe Ribbons. Follow this link for a Nexus 10 screen shot with a right hand Ribbon including navigation controls (this is not my screen shot). Ribbons default to auto hide.
With the right custom ROM and swipe Ribbons I always have a full screen with an auto hide navigation bar and notifications. You can just swipe down with one finger to have the notifications display at any time. There are multiple kinds of Ribbons and they are fully configurable (content, position, colors, autohide delay ... etc).
Check in the Developers threads to see which ROMs are supporting swipe Ribbons. I use Buttered +Aroma, follow the link in my signature. I have seen some bugs but for the most part they work well and have already become part of my daily-driver configuration.
My own set up uses a right hand Ribbon for navigation contols and Sidebar for left hand app shortcuts. I had already purchased Sidebar before Ribbons were available.
I've looked around and it appears there are a number of paid apps that apparently let me change the soft keys, but I'm not 100% sure if they'll work with the stock LG G2 "OS"...
I want my multitasking button back... No need for a settings button, IMO.

Absolutely. And I'm handy with UNIX, so navigating the filesystem and using text editors to muck with XML isn't a problem. I'm just not a developer.

Just tested, no you can not. It will always hide after you lock your screen, so you'll have to swipe/touch to bring the soft keys back up.

And also it will always overlap over the screen. There are ways to keep the navbar from disappearing, but you won't be able to access anythi g underneath it because it doesn't shift the screen up, just overlay

My quasi solution was auto hide soft keys, auto to 0, auto hide only had anywhere on the bar checked, and swipe. You still need to swipe after wake, but if you need anything under it, just tap the left side to hide. If you use the mock option, home will leave space for it.

I use GMD soft keys to hide them completely then use LMT for pie. That way I can completely control my button layout, gain screen real estate, navigate from left right and bottom and do it with whatever colors I choose. A must have for me.

Knock On works on the customer roms and Knock Off can be done by the following, use either Apex or Nova as your launcher and set the launcher up that a double tab executes the app from the link below and Knock Off will work from any where on the home screen.

im running cm 10.2 as of now.. my suggestion to you is to download screen off... the icon is a black and grayish power button... if you dont use the swipe up from the home button that much for google now, when downloaded you can replace the default so when swiping up from the home button it turns off your screen! its what im using right now and i like it because it works everywhere, even the lockscreen! , also you can do the same thing routing the same app to a double tap feature on apex/nova launcher if you like the knock itself, but as far as just turning off your device when its flat down, this is my solution hope it helped!
"Knock Off" can also be implemented by using GMD Gesture Control and defining a screen off gesture (e. g. swiping down with 3 or 4 fingers). Has the added advantage that it works everywhere, regardless whether you are in the launcher or in any app. Use that on my Tablet Z very successfully.

I do not think there is a "Knock" sound. It is what happens with the gesture of tapping on the screen twice.
