LG6/8 possible Wi-Fi fix

As has been reported, some of us have problems with Wi-Fi on LG6/8.
Found an application that seems to be working here so far.
'FXR WiFi fix and rescue' found on the Play Market.
As always do a CWM backup just incase
I am using stock LG8 with latest Siyah kernel 1.4beta.

What is LG6/8 .?

I believe flashing the new Siyah Kernel will fix the problem. What kind of problems are you guys having anyways?

[Q] Which kernel is better for mothers

I bought Galaxy Y and unfortunately there are little but noticeable lags with the stock rom. I’ve read the threads and stopped on two kernels savieSGY and MerrukTechnology. Please, recommend me which one is better /stable, rock solid and smoother/, because I can’t test it as it is used by my mother. Finally is it worth it to change from stock kernel to custom one?

try merruk 2.0 its stable but you can also wait for the later version that will be released pretty soon.
yes its WORTH IT! from memory to battery performance improvements :good:

maybe you can try build a kernel with moms features included,,, like : feature ; automatic wake up,,automatic charge,, automatic cleaning system cache,,,,automatic turn on/off,, and the urgent if a kernel is angry,,, moms moms momss

HTC has better software supoort than Samsung...
At the top;
1.Nexus series(Galaxy Nexus,
Nexus 7 which is a tablet with non sim support just like Kindle Fire from Amazon,
Nexus S which's harsware is mostly like SGS just minor differences and also shell difference)
2.HTC...
I out HTC to second because if you guys heard or not,Jelly Bean will come to 3 HTC devices ..One X ,One S,and one of product that i dont really remember)..
If i would buy an Android again,that wouldnt be Samsung for sure Probably Nexus ...(Nexus 2 coming soon)

In the past i root my phone once and after some hours i press by mistake the button''start'' from odin and i got a warning triangle after reboot. i was stuck with that so i send my phone to my operator to put the os again. Now i`m scary to do it again! Can you help to update my phone with CM10 or the official jb.

Gingerbread is the latest update version via keys. If you want to update to jellybean you will have to root your phone and install a jellybean rom. Nothing hard,pretty simple and it works great.

[News]Official Android 4.2.1 started to roll out for Samsung devices

Hi all......
Since I was happy today .....(due to birth of girl baby ) so am creating this thread to give happy news about official android 4.2.1 from samsung....
At initial stage they released to s3....only .... (leak)....
Its an good sign it will hit soon to note2 and tab2 P3100. ....
But I was quite amazed by this....android 4.2.2 is out for nexus .....but Samsung is relesing 4.2.1 now so late. ....
Soon we will see 4.2.1 in ur tab.....days

Releasing a firmware outdated (and with bluetooth issues) is a very dumb step from samsung.

Take example of indian tab2 users Samsung kept us in 4.1.1........
And for your country its not even 4.1.1.....
I dont know why Samsung is doing such things......
But most of the Indians are using 4.1.2
For this only I created SungsonicHD. ......

And
Samsung update process sucks because it have too much of devices added to galaxy series.and it take time for designing firmware for each.
And yes in case of nexus there are just handful of devices to look after so its better to get them.
And damn they are not available in India.Google pls make them available here at same prices as in us ,UK.

Recovery
Kernel
Finally modem. ...
Why am adding kernel you know. ....
The power hal ...inside the kernel......
U know this power hal solved the cpu issue of latest cm10.1 kernel. ......
And all you know why we need to keep latest bootloader and modem......

i have tried that stock 4.2.1 on s3... its good .. its not final.. it has some bugs.. possibly its under testing... hopefully they start rolling out final versions soon.. !

Samsung released kernel source for MJ4

To anyone that needs the kernel source for MJ4, samsung has posted it on their site: http://opensource.samsung.com/
Type in "N7100" in the search box and its there. I'm not sure whats in it as I haven't looked but maybe drivers etc that are of some use to kernel devs etc?

Buddy its mj4 not mk4. The 4.3 we are having is mk4.

I know its MJ4, that's what my post says. I didn't mention 4.3 and since it was recently added I thought it might be of some use to someone.

The MJ4 source base of 28/10/2013. Not so long ago.
Still may be useful for developers.

In html viewer , it got KLMS agent and smart card manager.
Yes , it is the kernel source code for 4.3 .

Sensors have already been fixed in omni mate. Apparantly 1st december nightly is the best so far.

Not 100% what issues there was but as far as I know, devil kernel now works with it.
