Is there an app that will let me schedule mail notification off while I am asleep but still pass through important email from selected people?

Email app questions

Is it me, or does the email app not pick up all of the emails that are actually in my inbox? I went to check my email through the application because I had recently registered to a new forum.. I didnt see the email in my inbox on the email app on my epic, so I went on the computer and checked my email manually through yahoo. It showed the email in my inbox on the computer through yahoo, but I then refreshed the email app on my phone and the email still didnt show up. Does anyone else have this problem, is it the app? Also is it possible to have the email app recieve the email through push, instead of searching for new mail every so couple of minutes (or however long I set it to)?
Thank you!
Gmail will push. I normally get notification on my phone before my pc.

CM7 email app, outlook, and notifications

Hi guys. I currently use the gmail app for my gmail account and the typical email app for my outlook account. I have noticed that Gmail will eventually remove a notification from my task bar if I read the email somewhere on my computer. The email app, however, will just keep racking the new mail count up. I use outlook push notification, so I will get notifications for new mail while I am at work. I typically check them on my computer, since I am there. When I go to my phone after several of these, I will have a notification on my phone saying that I have X new emails. When I open the notification, they will all be read.
Has anybody else experienced this issue? Is this just a limitation of using outlook push notification?

email application inbox issue

hello
i have setup gmail in the standard arc email application (in addition to gmail application).
i have set it up with push mail (using exchange not imap).
whenever i get a new mail, I am getting the push notification on the status bar, but if I open the inbox the new mail is not there. this is the 'at' sign notification (not the gmail application notification which i am also getting). I have to refresh to get the mail. this seems strange to me.
I have disable contact and calendar sync for gmail exchange setup because they are already synchronized by andriod.
why am i not using the gmail application? i like the clean inbox of the native app better. also i will be using a few more mail accounts and want a unified inbox.
this issue seems to have somehow solved itself

Does The Default Mail App Push Email?

Hey Guys, just wondering if the default mail app pushes email. I didn't see the push option in the settings, all i saw was a check frequency option of every 15,30,60 minutes etc.... am i missing something? I don't want to use the gmail app.
No it doesn't. It only will if you use it with exchange. Only the gmail app uses push. There are a couple apps in Play Store that uses pushes service like K-9 Mail

Click to collapse
First time I try setting my Hotmail account in years due to the lack of exchange support, for my surprise it works now, and it pushes all messages, so in a summary, I assume that it will Push all Exchange Email accounts. regular Imap and POP just schedules to check Emails.

Stock email app not pushing email notifications

Hey guys. I've been using different email apps (Gmail, outlook, aol) for a while and never had any issues regarding notifications. I'd get the notification as soon as I got an email. I recently purchased a Lenovo Smartband and the only way to receive notifications on it was to use the stock email app. I went ahead and set it up to test with outlook (hotmail) and I noticed that the email notifications on my phone and smartband come in a few minutes later than the hotmail app. I checked the setting on the stock email app and I don't see an option to push notifications. I only see "sync time" and the soonest is 5 minutes. Is there a setting that I'm missing or is this the only option?
