hello all i m a newbie .... srry for posting in a wrong thread i hve eu htc hd2 and installed wp HD2 Pdaimatejam Rom Wp7.8 OS 7.10.8858.136 RMT v8.7 rom . recently i was having screen digitizer problem so i have replaced touch screen and digitizer both so i dont want to have digitizer prob again .... i want to change the screen wake up button ...... as using the leo advanced i was able to change the screen shutdown button but not able to change the wake up button ..... so is there any .xap or any .cab to change it plzz help thnks in advance

I would like to do this too.
you can for example set green button for camera and use it for wakeup (long press)
If you're running android on it there is a file that controls the hardware key mappings allowing you to swap them to your desired configuration. I know you said wp7 or 8 sorry but im sure there's a similar setting.

I'm searching on my phone and also in google but can not find the way how to change the button action? Did you have any idea how we can do it. Maybe under Settings? or in the registry?

I am facing this unique problem after i upgraded to official Windows 6.1 ROM.
Whenever i am in explorer/ Programs and I want to select a certain entry I hit the screen, the page scrolls rather than the entry getting selected.
I am earlier ROM (Windows 6.0) i had no such problems.
I have performed the screen orientation several number of times, but even after that it is the same.
Is there some setting that will prevent this behavior?

I've tried some PDAVIET wm 6.1 rom and...
the latest rom that works fine with my elfin is TOUCH WM6.1 ROM V60 (BLUE & BLACK VERSION) - Build 20758.1.4.1 (Manila2D):
After v62 all the roms are "build" on RUU_Elfin_hTC_Asia_India_3.07.720.03_4.1.13.71_03. 34.90_BLUE_Ship
and I think that this is the problem...

I've found two solution in my search resoults.
The first is Changing touch.dll at this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2888346&highlight=butter#post2888346
The second one is to change the pagehigh and pagelow value in registry http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2888073&postcount=78 .
I've only tried the second one without changing the touch.dll file, and it works fine!!

Changing simply touch.dll will not work, you'll need to change Biotouch.dll as well because sometimes you'll get random program shutdowns while scrolling (another butter finger issue). The latest Onyx ROM for 6.1 has the fix already.

All the new ROMs all have the fix for this.

I am (( left handed person )) and I face trouble while operating it , all the scrolling option is on right side, So can you help me with this or is there any software available for this.

use this touch flo software and scroll anywhere as you like.
install it and soft reset ur device.

have u do a soft reset ur device after installing it.
and one thing there is no change seen at device.
just swipe ur finger in the middle of ur device at program menu or any application where thhe scroll bar is presents .

may be this program is not compatible with my device
I think the problem is your rom version(wm5.0. TouchFLo doesn't work in it). Update your rom to a newer one (wm6.5) and you'll not have problems.
i am also using original wm5 rom
but touch flow works fine in my device

I faced some weird problem on my hd mini. After I downloaded this rom: [ROM][31.01.2011][WWE-ITA-FRA-ELL-GER-RUS-SPA-NLD-DAN] ver 2.30 nsourm -build 23152 - I could'nt change my sound, only in options.
Anyone know how to fix this? Thx.

did you made a Hard Reset after flashing the ROM?
Changing your sound has to be done in Settings.--> Sounds. And if you have Manila: Settings tab.--> Menu --> All --> Sounds and notifications.
I did hard reset after flashing. And madmatt, you dont get it, I cant change volume in fast way, my buttons dont work, I dont know why, but this is after flashing rom.
maybe it's better to flash the original rom and see if it works.
then flash the cooked rom and again check if it works before installing any software or customization.
Yep, if it doesnt work with a stock ROM, I think it's a hardware problem...

I'm using the WWE ROM and never had this problem!!! check your installed software or customizations! I'm nearly sure that the ROM is ok!!!
check if it's the Taskbar customization! some Taskbar from the main Windows Dev group have volume control problem and there sould be a fix for it!

Maybe you guys should patient to wait 1/27 for v1.27.
if HD2owner use "Extra settings" from ultrashot then you can change the button anytime.
you may interested in this thread for more information.
