Hey guys...I just cracked my display.Last night ,a half of display it was working.I put it on charger, and now I am stuck in APX.
If I press power button for 3-4 secs,on PC I get USB Device Not Recognized. If I just connect,it starts in APX mode and it's recognized as Asus Transformer Prime.
Any solution?
I never unlocked bootloader,flash ROM,root etc...
Send it back to Google! You still have your warranty. And for the cracked screen, buy a replacement screen and try it to place into your N7. :good: My N7 was also in APX mode and I brought it back to the store where I bought my N7. I unlocked my bootloader, and rooted my N7, and I still have my warranty on my N7.

I have a Asus nexus 7 that I think may be bricked.
When I turn it on nothing appears on the screen, not even the charging icon but my pc makes the noise of a usb being plugged in and device manager shows Asus transformer prime apx interface.
I've read some other threads about it being stuck in apx mode due to the bootloader being deleted/ missing / corrupt, I've tried a few things suggested on those but haven't been able to get it to turn on.
Can somebody please help me and let me know if it is totally bricked or is there anything I can try?
Hey all! I work in a tech repair shop and im having a hell of a time with this lenovo thinkpad we got in. the customers child set the lock screen and then forgot what it was, they want it to be factory reset BUT the lenovo doesnt ship with a compatible USB cord, only a wall plug. i have tried using power plus volume up button, power plus volume down button, both volumes plus power (this puts me into a kind of recovery mode but nothing shows up on screen, its for flashing new roms im pretty sure, abx or adx mode or something like that) i just want to be able to reset this device. i have looked EVERYWHERE and i can find NO help whatsoever, i have tried EVERYTHING that i have found online (including powering it on and pressing the volume up key right as it vibrates, ive been trying this for about an hour and a half now with no luck.) i just wanna get this device out of the store asap because its starting to piss me off. thanks in advance for any help guys!
How did you make out? I am having the same issue with this tablet.
if you have usb debugging enabled and your computer whitelisted, you can get into recovery using adb commands
I have read through the other posts about briked Nexus 7's. They all seem to talk about 'What is on the screen' My nexus 7 stays black the entire time. The only thing I 'hear' is my computer beeping to say a USB divice is connected and disconnected when I push the power button on my android. Otherwise my screen is black and stays black.
Is there any way to reset it back to factory install? Even pulling out a USB chip (hoping) and formatting it on my computer and replacing it?? Asus said, 'Sure send it on in, $100.00 and we do not guarantee a fix.' I can buy a replacement for about the same price.
Any idea at this point would be awsome!
Hey, I broke my op2 screen so I bought one from ebay, teared it apart all correctly (i'm a computer technician), installed the new screen, all fine but a weird symptom appears:
- It boots and shows the Oneplus logo then screen all black. I know it booted cuz the touch buttons work and i can ear the sound of unlocking etc. Also if i plug into the pc I can easily access its memory.
- If I try to enter recovery I know it enters too but the screen is all black, the only mode I can see the screen is fastboot mode and it stays and acts normally.
- I did a full reset on the phone back to stock via adb, thinking it was software, its all stock now, still the same occurs
Im out of ideas so I just think the screen is faulty from ebay, did this happened to anyone?
Thanks in advance
Old phone died after 13 months, won't charge and turn on. Luckily got a replacement phone from essential. The new phone will turn on but stuck on logo. Was able to go into recovery mode to do a reset but got stuck too. Now the screen won't even turn on and won't go into recovery mode.

yes, for dead screen possibly digitiser or screen, try swap with old phones assuming you still have old one
edit: or maybe even just ribbon cable not connected properly or damaged
