You can do this only by modifying smali files and xml files in touchwiz30launcher.apk
You can't request anyone... do it by yourself

My i9000 has a slight issue in displaying greys. The settings menu and any other app that uses it look awful on my phone.
All I want to know is the location the background is stored so I can change it to an all black background. I've asked this question in many different threads and no one had answered me yet. So many thanks to whoever tells me.

What else does a black theme change other than the settings menu background?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA
Lots of stuff, messaging, phone, market,g mail, YouTube, menus, status bar, depends on the theme, but good for battery, and generally stylish

If you are on a Samsung ROM it's different case though, roms come with their own fixed themes if I remember, been a long time! That's the advantage of aosp/cm7/9 you have the theme chooser engine to play with

Google black wallpaper, find one bigger than your screen size and save it to your desktop or straight to your phone.
Then change the wallpaper to the new image using gallery or quickpic or whatever app you use to view photos.

In framework-res.apk it's apparently in /res/values/styles.xml and color.xml
The only problem is I don't have a /values folder... Where else could styles.xml and color.xml be stored?
I'm using Elite 1.4.1 if it makes any difference.

You'll get values folders only by going into a decompiling process.

Hey, I found this in the lockscreen app. looks like this is where it's defined. If you get me the values that are needed, I might be able to hook you up. Feel free to give it a try yourself as well. It's located in /res/values/dimens.xml
<dimen name="quick_cover_window_width">247.0dip</dimen>
<dimen name="quick_cover_window_height">307.54688dip</dimen>
p.s.
This is also right below it. May need to be changed along with it but im not sure
<dimen name="knock_on_area_left">0.0dip</dimen>

<dimen name="knock_on_area_right">360.0dip</dimen>

Sounds promising!
Can you just edit and save or do you need to repackage file etc?
Also, that directory doesn't exist on my phone ?
Edit, just realised you said about the lockscreen app!
How do you decompile and recompile it? Which tool can I use?
Thanks for your help!!

Alright, here it is. I've changed only the two lines. I have not tested it. It would be a good idea to backup your current lockscreen app. You may have to uninstall it before installing this one.
Let me know how it goes. Link below

I've tied it and sadly the whole lock screen changes and becomes pointless , the quick window doesn't function either
Backup restored and up and running again. It's a shame but thanks for your help

Or, if you have six shortcuts in the bottom bar, the text will go away.

I didn't count the app drawer icon, because it cannot be changed, that leaves six shortcuts.
Thanks Devs. From my VZW G2.
You can decompile the lg launcher apk and change a value in the bool.xml file to rove the text for shortcuts on launcher hotseat if you don't want to use app to do it.
